Thank you very much🌺 - my sewing machine drives me crazy, all of the sudden it constantly makes peep every 6 th stitch. It keeps telling me that my ‚top thread‘ is broken which is not true (on my Singer 90S). I opened the top cover like you did and cleaned it, I cannot find any lint/ Fluff ( or whatever you call it in English ) I changed my needle, changed my thread ( the colored thread is medium or not good quality, the main colours are Gütmermann threads- that’s why I clean every week the Bobbin case and the bottom of my sewing machine . Maybe there’s something left nearby the top thread sensor, but I have no idea of where it is. And my second problem could be exactly what you‘ve shown today on this video. So : THANK YOU SO MUCH from Germany 🌺🌹💐 your video instructions are great and you are the first person showing problems and detailed instructions on sewing machines. Unfortunately there’s no Singer Service at all in Germany, thats why your videos are a Great help.
Just rewatched this one Abi, such great advice. May I ask you to think about a video which really shows us end users HOW to tell a good thread. You gave some great technical background, but other than one or two top end brands, how do I know which are the good guys? Thanks for your support and tutorials.
Awesome video. Although, a few good quality thread recommendation links will absolutely help your viewers what to buy. Also, your video didn’t finish, last example you were about to show was got off. Video about a year old but viewers like myself still watching. Whereby, any way to update it. Otherwise, great job!
Aw, thank you. Yes, I really could do with redoing some of the older videos, especially the embroidery machines and a number of people have asked about thread, so that’s one to cover. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, it’s very much appreciated x
When buying spools of thread check if the top and bottom edges are domed shape. Thread on a spool which is domed are bad quality and the straight edges on both ends are the best quality.
Thank you for this, my Husqvarna is ready for a service because I constantly have a problem with thread, it really seems to hate any thread at the moment except Gutterman, maybe I have fluff and stuff around that elbow, but I wouldn’t dare mess with the workings myself. So think I’ll get her booked in for after Christmas, and use one of my other machines until then, just in case I cause more problems.
Hi Abi, I have a Brother 2800D mid range embroidery machine. My manual instructions are to take it in to the dealer for service and they will oil it. Do you have any hints or tutorials on how I would go about oiling it myself. Thank you so much for all your help. Have a great weekend. Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️
Hi idk if you will reply but i just got my sewing machine and its brand new but i have problems w it alrd!!😖 so sure that i thread it properly but whenever i back stitch it continues to stitch a few stitches and get caught😤 the other problem is the stitches keep skipping, i even change the needle but it still does the same thing

You are so right, my top of the range Husqvarna will only work properly with Gutterman thread, drives me mad.

Thanks, Abi, really useful information as I have had a little bit of stitch skipping lately. Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 😊
Love all your videos. Learned so much. A big thank you from Vienna ;-)
Hi Abbi can you tell me where you get the little brushes to clean your machines.Great and useful tutorial. X
Hi Susan. Glad to help, the brush was from amazon amzn.to/33tR7Ub x
Hi Abi can you recommend a fabric supplier in Manchester? I mostly deal in bridal wear. Republic of Ireland is too expensive
