I get the whole Barb thing. She didn't want to go to the party, she only went because Nancy begged her to go and make sure she didn't make go to far with them. Nancy decided she wanted to and basically ignored Barb. Barb then got killed while sitting by the pool. Then in season 1 they never showed the town looking for her the way that they were looking for Will. I'm glad she got her justice in season 2. That being said I'm not on board with Bob's justice, as he already got the hero status in season 2.
Exactly! I think some people don't realize that not everyone loves parties, especially if you don't know most of the people there. I was totally Barb in that situation. I don't think she was being selfish at all. She wasn't stopping Nancy from going to the party but she didn't want to go herself. Why would she? She's not the one who's making out with Steve, she doesn't even like him and his friends. If anything, Nancy's the selfish one. I was like "Go ahead to your boyfriend's stupid party but leave your introvert friend alone. She doesn't want to party." Also, Nancy specifically asked her to chaperone so she doesn't do anything she might regret. Barb does everything her friend asked her to, despite not wanting to go to Steve's place, and what does she get in return? Being snickered at by the cool kids and being dismissed by Nancy and told to go home. WTF? I'd be totally pissed if a friend did that to me like "bitch, you asked me to be here!" and then of course she gets eaten by a monster. I get why people started to push back on the whole Barb thing because the memes did get ridiculous after awhile. But I wish people would just hate the meme not the character herself.
That's because Barb added nothing to the storyline aside from a friend who basically shit all over anyone who was doing something that they wanted to.
Bob was a useful character who got hero status because he actually did shit that added to the storyline and supported the other characters.
I think the best thing they can do for bob is simply show Joyce visiting his grave and that’s it.
JCWM 2 Well, Steve's friends WERE jackasses. Nancy did ask her to come and stop her from sleeping with him and then not listen to her. I think that's why she came off as whiny. That and she was the 5th wheel who was being made fun of. She wanted to go when Nancy wanted her to stay. Nancy should have just sucked it up and gone alone.
Several more people were stated as having gone missing in the woods. Nobody cared about them. Weren't even mentioned in season two's finale.

Hey guys! I know that there was a real unfortunate event that happened to you that was beyond your control, but stop apologizing for the wrongs of someone else. Delaying this honest trailer and adding in those "spitballs" were a genius move and had me cackling like a hyena! This is one of my favorite Honest Trailers of all time! #TeamScreenJunkies
Forgive me but, I'd like to think it's called empathy and working to connect with your audience as well and authentically as possible (especially because a number of the girls harassed by Andy were nothing more than SJ fans/viewers). It's not going to last forever, but these guys are human beings, they'll get thru it the way they best need to in order to continue on long term. It's not even been a full 2 months since everything first broke. Honestly, I didn't even expect an Honest Trailer coming last week (and had no problem with that being the case).

oh good lord no, literally the exact opposite. I mean if anything the team is, if this is even apt, err on the side of caution, if you will, of being extra sensitive to the audience because Andy was disgusting enough to take advantage of their fandom. I obviously can't or won't speak for them, but I feel like they feel he poisoned the well to a certain extent and they don't want to just be oblivious to not trying to repair that.

Yeah before even seeing the whole justice for barb I was most bothered that no one seemed to give a darn about her being missing and could see me in her. Especially being the mom in the friend group.

Yeah justice for Barb. They never showed her mom filing a police report. Nancy barely broke down after she heard that Barb was dead. They didn't even HAVE A MEMORIAL for Barb by the end!!!
I just want to say that I hope Screen Junkies can recover from what happened and that the fans don't mix this channel's content and the people that work hard on it with the actions of one person that worked for them. It's a terrible thing and I hope you guys can overcome the fallout. Stay strong #TeamScreenJunkies

QUESTION THAT'S BEEN BUGGING ME: before Will gets caught by the Demogorgon when he was calling the phone, how could the Demogorgon possibly use telekenises to move the bolt of the door? Which is now a signature move Eleven does? So did that mean Eleven was actually there and scared Will off and technically helped Will to get caught by the Demogorgon? Why did they not address this? I NEED ANSWERS

I loved this honest trailer!!!
The upside down confuses me more than the Cars universe. Think about it, everything that exists in the real world exists there too, except for the people. Do cars drive themselves around? Do buildings construct themselves from the ground up? Do objects constantly float from place to place? What did the Demogorgon eat before Eleven opened the portal? Are there other animals there & why do we never see them?
Pigmiwarrior I can solve two problems; there were people and the demogorgon ate 'em. There.
After season 2 i assumed the upside down was another dimension similar to ours in every way ultil the hivemind turned it into what it is

For me, your theory on why it's popular is mostly wrong. I like it because of the nostalgia and the fact someone managed to faithfully recreate an 80s movie in 2017. It's dark, it's cool, it's scary. The whole "Nerdy kids done got proven right" is pretty much the premise of most 80s movies involving kids, so.... no. You've just recognised why they were popular when we were kids.
This is a love letter to our childhood, whilst sharing what we loved about it with the younger generations. In 2017 being a geek is kinda cool. Back in the 80s it so wasn't. So if anything you can consider this a lap of victory to those who stuck with sci-fi and fantasy all these years to make geekdom what it is today.

I'll chime in like so many others here. Daredevil Season One, Jessica Jones Season One and Daredevil Season Two are all out on blu-ray and have been for quite some time. You can easily attain them via internet shopping or brick and mortar stores.

They said "dispensing justice" for their teaser for next week (so it's safe to assume that was a hint towards something "Justice League"-related), but then they heavily paused on "forever" (as in doing "Honest Trailers" forever); does this mean we're getting a "Batman Forever" Honest Trailer?!
The reason Will can talk through the lights is because the presence of anyone, even the Demogorgon, in the upside down affects the electrical currents in our dimension. When the Demogorgon walks around in the upside down in causes the lights to flicker too. That's how Steve, Johnathan, and Nancy know where it is.It's a dark mirror of our dimension separated by a thin membrane, not by a giant gap in space. Also, the Demo-Dogs are baby Demogorgons, they would have been a full size one if they'd been left alone for another week. They're not a ton easier to kill either

as a kid of 2017, I can officially confirm that 2017 is in fact the WORST time ever for a childhood
But you haven't lived in any other time.
I got it, it would have been great to be a teen in the 80s and geek out on spielber, or in the 60s and go to woodstock or in the 20s and be part of the counterculture.
But now there's other stuff, I don't know how old you are, i'm from the 90s and didn't care too much for that time period.
But nerds from any other time would love to live now, with all this amazing videogames and fifteen superhero and sci-fi movies a year, there's also the better technology and all that, you can't know if it's the worst time to be alive.
Don't like hoverboards or fidget spinners? don't use them, read the books of the 20s, and the comics of the 40s, listen to thee music of the 60s, watch the movies of the 80s.

That one's probably going to take a while, if they bring it back at all (I'm sure they will, Dan still has to win his belt back :). I imagine there is a lot of planning and coordination that goes on to arrange schedules for the fighters and guests.

Interesting (I think) note: the D&D monster is meant to be pronounced DEE-mo-GOR-gun (like "demon").
If you invert the footage it goes through some loophole in copy right law. Granted it looks bad if there's any text in the shot but it still works.

Only big thing I think the trailer didn't get right is the whole nostalgia thing. I mean, seeing the people that wrote it, maybe that was the primary factor, but there are plenty of people that have no nostalgia for the 80s that still loved Stranger Things. I only know the 80s on a, like, historical aspect, and I found it cool cause it subverted or improved on a bunch of cliches that I grew up with that were invented in the 80s (The Steven King losers group with the token minorities and so on was all the rage in the 90s). I also rewatched ST with my mom, who is actually too old to have nostalgia for the 80s and finds them a tad ridiculous, and she loved it too. The nostalgia may be a factor, but only for some people.
I think the #JusticeForBarb thing has absolutely nothing to do with her character or the actress and everything to do with the fact that she was a teenager that literally vanished overnight from a small town and nobody seemed to care (especially in the flash forward which made it seem like everything was back to normal in the town)...that was super unrealistic (both in reality and the plot of the show...which revolves around a missing kid) and that's what spurred people on and created the meme. In a small town, there would be a million theories on what happened to her and tons of gossip, especially due to the fact that she was a quiet, awkward nerd who seemed unlikely to run away. And of course, lots of worried adults. People would probably connect her dissapearance to Will's and the dead diner owner and be worried there's a serial killer lurking in the town. Her parents would go on tv or to a newspaper begging for her safe return. Nancy would very likely have to learn to live with the knowledge that she, alone among Barb's friends and family, knows what happened to her. The dead diner owner is sad, but it's nowhere near the same level since he was A) an adult and B) unlikely to be known by the kids. I think everything in season 2 in regards to Barb was perfectly normal. If they completely glossed over Nancy's guilt it would have made the show lesser.
People cared about Barb because she was such a loose plot point. Like she goes missing after will but nobody really mentions it. That's why she became such a meme.
