Yes, having rewatched the first two seasons before watching the third, It was quite awkward watching the characters age three years in the span of half a year. It was also wierd that eleven nevver mentioned her sister with superpowers to anyone, because that couldn't possibly be important, or the fact that Mike and El have spent half a year mostly sitting in her room kissing, and not doing anything else. You know Mike and the party would be at hopper's house teaching her how to play D&D, but then they can't have that side arc for will, so Mike will act out of character for the sake of the plot! How did this devolve into this? Anyway, yes, the aging three years thing is awkward.

That's only 10 months of difference, not enough to create a visual disparity that would upset suspension of disbelief in anyone who's actually seen kids grow up and specifically how fast they grow when they hit puberty.

I just want to point out that "The Void" and "The Upside Down" are not the same thing. A couple of times the video treated them like they were the same thing. (3:27 and 3:42) The Void is a place where only Eleven can go, in her mind, and observe real events from various real places while being undetected herself (that's how they were using her to spy on the Russians.) She can go into the Void and explore what's going on anywhere in our world OR in the upside down, without actually physically going to those places. The Upside Down is a real place, that anyone can physically go into or out of, provided there's an open gate. It's a creepy altered parallel other-dimensional version of our world, but it's physically there.

He wasn't totally wrong, but I still liked the episode. Mostly because Kali is badass, and she also genuinely cared about Eleven and helped her harness her anger and grief to get better at using her abilities. Also, because the episode serves a purpose which the Duffer bros have confirmed: more of Eleven's "siblings" will show up in the series, later on. I'm sure it's not the last we've seen of Kali, either. It's going to take more than just Eleven's powers, to defeat the Big Bad for good.

Raven Claw Fr, appreciate the character development, but really it was unnecessary and threw off the show's narrative.
He wasn't totally wrong, but I still liked the episode. Mostly because Kali is badass, and she also genuinely cared about Eleven and helped her harness her anger and grief to get better at using her abilities. Also, because the episode serves a purpose which the Duffer bros have confirmed: more of Eleven's "siblings" will show up in the series, later on. I'm sure it's not the last we've seen of Kali, either. It's going to take more than just Eleven's powers, to defeat the Big Bad for good.
Yeah I didn't like episode 7 that much either..I feel they could've done a better way of introducing a new character. .but overall the entire season was great

I need to watch Season 1 again then, Barb just really annoyed me, especially trying to force Nancy not to have some fun in her life.
Barb was designed to be killed... to push Nancy into the situation that leads to her becoming involved. If she didn't... there's almost no motivation for her or Steve.
I didn't even know about the whole justice for barb thing until after I finished season 2 and I honestly don't care.
