@@atsylor5549100% correct.
You'd think someone with such a loving and close relationship with his family, "vulnerable" enough to tell them how much he "loves" them in front of the cops and how bad of an error he'd made would have thought of them first before resorting to gun violence in an attempt to solve his issues.
He even got his own father to apologize to him in case he "let him down."
It shows the state of their relationship. They probably never even spoke that way to each other. It took killing someone you know. 😔 when your kids are troubled, don't send them away. This kid and his parents were in so much denial about the gravity of the situation.
No denial- entitled. I know this type. I have hung out with them. Very rich and think they are too smart and cool for any laws. Parents created him to be like this. Not denial at all. It's the same as the military handling firearms. YOU clear and inspect every firearm that's given to you, personally. You don't take anyone's word that it's cleared, doesn't matter if there's a mag in it or not. You fully clear it yourself. And stop resisting
"I'm probably gonna get kicked out of Texas Tech". With such insight, I think they let one of their best students go. Shame on them.
The conversation with his parents sounds like as if he just got a bad grade or failed a class and not him taking a human life. Quite shocking
Xanax is crazy
Yeah he's saying "I think I might get kicked out of school" and I'm thinking "you might get the death penalty" like he just doesn't seem to understand the magnitude of what happened.
welcome to America where everyone is on brain altering medications, statens and psychotropics where people go nuts and do impulsive things. Oh its akl anxiety well whats causing the anxiety, something in the weed maybe
They have never disciplined him in his life.
28:20 "I think they're probably going to kick me out of school" Dude, you're going to prison for life, WTF are you talking about? The apathy from him and his parents is mind-blowing. He just murdered a cop and they act like he got a DUI.
Absolutely delusional.
Just a faceless automaton that's part of the college like a waterfountain or a library computer he damaged. Not a "real person", but a part of the services included with his tuition that they're paying for.
this is the new America where everyones on brain altering medications which is Causing these people to go nuts then they add in street drugs and other stuff and it's just a disaster. Our country is gone. Culture rot all from big pharma and the scumbags destroying our country.
This mf really thought he was gon get away with this🤦🏽♂️
1:40 someone inside is illegally firing a gun and you stand square in front of the door? What happens if they shoot through the door?
His worst mistake was actually trying to treat him like a human being by taking the cuffs off! RIP officer 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
That logic is the problem with the police.
Just because you decided to play superhero and arrest someone over some bs doesn't mean your cuffs transformed that person into a subhuman specimen.
🤔🤬🙄🐷🚮
Thank You… Certain individuals get special handcuff removed privilege.
I bet those cuffs would have stayed on if he was more melinated...@@kevinnelson2713
@@kevinnelson2713Facts
Putting someone in handcuffs who has committed a crime is not treating them as other than human. This is an example of THE reason why you put them in handcuffs and keep them there till literally every orifice has been searched. Also it prevents officers from getting injured or suspects from deciding they don't want to comply. Handcuffs can't be removed, but you can't bring someone back to life.
Listening to this phone call this kid is a full blown sociopath. He's not bothered at all that he just took a life. Good lord.
Blame America
And you would’ve gotten with this guy before all of this happened, let that sink in as well. Today’s generation is sociopaths especially the girls smh
Same way y’all civilians don’t care about African descendants
What planet is this family from?? It’s like they were already mentally prepared for this.
Rest peacefully Floyd East Jr & thank you for your service sir. It's not ok you're gone. You deserve to be on this earth loved by your family, friends & co-workers.
What a disturbing story. This young man seemed like such an easygoing and normal college kid. The murder was so senseless and impulsive. It’s scary to think that there are people that are so flippant and apathetic about taking someone’s life.
Dude this is end times behavior. It's getting crazier out there.
@@mememan2344 It's definitely getting crazier.
@@mememan2344it's the end times bro ur right 😮
Your last sentence literally describes the police.
@@allemander Not in this case. The officers were reasonable and even kind to this young man. You picked the wrong anecdotal evidence to fight the machine.
i lived in the same dorm building as this monster when this happened. it is sickening for someone who lived so close to you doing something like this.

@traxcltr8721 so NOOOO ONE ELLSE stays there but these two guys? No one would come look it up?
I was at TTU when this happened. All we got was a text saying there’s an active shooter and to stay inside. This vid hits close
It's profound how calm he is before during and after! Probably his calm demeanour and compliance is what allowed him to avoid a thorough body search. Tragic loss of life :(
I remember seeing this a while back. it was so sad, and also so unlucky.
I was thinking how disconnected his Dad and Stepmom must be to have a reaction like that, but then I realized he only told them about the drug charges and not the whole capital murder situation
That’s what I’m thinking too bc there’s just no way
Yea. This appears to be correct because he says “yea I think it’s pretty serious because they are probably gonna kick me outta Texas Tech”. If he had told them about murder charges, his enrollment is all but irrelevant.
@@patmacrotch5611 i think some people who are told they just killed someone (whether on purpose or accident) are in shock and dissociate from reality and logical thinking right then...they worry about going back to school, missing work, etc. Seen it plenty of times on these type of videos, must be the brain’s coping mechanism to deny gravity of the situation
@@URightButthat’s not really the same thing as a parent being told by their own child that they just murdered a law enforcement officer…
@@mcjedwards those words aren’t spoken in this footage and others have mentioned his father may not have known that information at the time of recording
Very disheartening. The corporal appeared to be the supervising officer who conducted the original frisk. He failed that officer that was killed. That officer failed and lost his life by trusting his corporal did a thorough enough job.
We were taught to search anyone being put in your care, custody and control yourself. This is a direct result of complacency.
He was doing a terry stop frisk, which is just a search for weapons, but got more interested in getting permission from the kid to search his pockets for drugs, and didn't bother to check his ankles. The stolen gun was in his ankle, either in his sock or ankle holster.
It's the next officers duty to verify as well, and I cant blame them to much. Why would they expect what is basically a minor routine arrest to escalate to murder of an officer? It's just nonsensical.
@@justforever96 ..in that job, expect the unexpected.
We are all humans
the conversation he has with his family members at the end, how casual he spoke about what he did, that was chilling. this kid is a sociopath.
He's not a kid...he's 24 now & going to an adult penitentiary for life.
These doctors prescribing Prozac are 100% to blame!!!
You made a point...being drugged could explain his complete inability to properly grasp what he'd just done...and possibly explain the parents reaction. If he's typically not all there, they could be just accustomed to talking to him like this.
The fact he thinks he might get kicked out school is crazy, he literally took an innocent life! Parents didn’t even care sad.
Must be the anti depressants that's he on ....his brain 🧠 is fried lol 😆
the way he’s so calm talking to his family
Xanax , he probably didn't even remember doing it the next day
The moral of this story, is to never trust no one. It's never worth it.
This is truly unfortunate. I have to say though, after asking about firearms quite a bit of times, they really needed to have him searched. This crap should not have happened 😔
So he gets to be questioned WITHOUT handcuffs. Interesting...he kills one of them and they STILL don't cuff him. wow.
Complexion protection
"I think this is a little more extreme. I think they're going to kick me out of Texas Tech" is the understatement of the year.... I do not know anything about his parents or his background but if I was to guess, this is the result of a spoiled kid who not matter how much or how big he screws up, his parents have always been able to bail him out. Just he fact that his dad is apologizing like it was his fault for his sons actions, speaks volumes.
This is the result of antidepressants and the pharmaceutical drug industry
it's the kid fault he's a criminal that's why he's going to jail
@@ComedyHub-dz7sm it's actually the direct result of this kid's actions
Obviously Einstein. Think a little deeper for once.@@AMM1998
Probably is the parent’s fault - providing no structure, rules, or consequences. They raised a psychopath.
The way these parents are speaking to this scumbag just tells you that he was NEVER punished for his actions as a kid. 😮😮😮😮😮
At the end of this video, you have a cop killer, who got caught with drugs and a gun, and he still not in handcuffs as he talks to his family on the phone. Privilege privilege privilege privilege privilege
I really hope they retrain their officers in proper search techniques. Absolutely avoidable...
No ma'am. He needed training on being a responsible adult (boy). Had they left him cuffed, the cry would be about brutality and dis-trust. Police can't win for losing/
Did anyone notice that he asked to stop and tie his shoe even before they left the dorms? He was planning on using that gun the entire time. Why on earth did they not search him completely and why were his cuffs taken off at all???
Yeah, i caught that too. In the hallway outside the dorm on way to the cop car.
Complacency kills
Human rights
Yeah yeah. Hindsight is 2020 we all know that poor officer training is what got that cop killed. Not following standard operating procedures for a pat down instead of a knife in his socks. He had a gun and they missed it. Sad.
Quality of training had zero to do with anything.....It was the officer's poor judgment....Giving this young man the benefit of a doubt....He was calm, bcuz he was planning to attack & escape....Again, his poor judgment caused his death
22:56 You didn't even clear the kid that killed your partner so you definitely didn't clear an entire building. No way. Horrible job searching...obviously.
That whole family are psychopaths. They have no remorse for him taking an innocent life for no reason.
well, he was being punished by a dog of the state for his personal possessions. some people think that sort of thing is wrong. if nobody ever fights back then we'll end up as slaves in every aspect and moment of life.
@@JustinCrediblename What video did you watch? We still have laws in this country. I will agree that nowadays they are only normally enforced on people who only vote a certain way & they ones that vote the opposite way are free to commit all the crimes they want with no fears of punishment. Please see chicago, nyc & all of commifornia for examples. Laws with punishments are good for a society to continue to exist. No laws or laws not enforced with punishments are the death of a society. But just to let you know ahead of time the end result is eventually NW0 will swoop in when citizens are crying out for help against the criminal organizations saying if you agree to give up all of your rights & your freedoms we will stop all of this & be your heros. However you & your family lives, breathes & works for the NW0 now. You will praise us as gods. Meanwhile everybody has forgotten these same people created the whole situation to begin with.
