When I was 7, over two decades ago, while during a road trip I saw this episode on TV @ the hotel. What stuck out most to me was the shootout scene @ the end. Everything seemed so real & opened my eyes. Since then I've always been obsessed w these real crime series, crime shows, criminal justice etc.
Then you started being a serial killer
Funny thing is you never went on a road trip..... another funny thing is you never stayed at a hotel and this is your first time seeing this episode and I know this because I'm your big cousin on your mom side
@Norberto Fontanez ya you're high af
Wow really
Wtf 😂
That cab driver was bold af! 💪🏾💯💯
Finally an FBI files episode I haven’t seen😌
😂💪
Very brave and intelligent person the cab driver.
It must suck to be so close to retirement as a cop and to be killed I can’t imagine what the family feels because they have been waiting for that day as well
that cab driver had balls.. he should have got a medal 🥉
100%!
@@bkm2797

Medal for what driving a black guy to murder a cop? That medal don’t exist
Hell yeah!
Yes he is a man he has balls. He is also very brave.
Thanks to the good work of all those involved, even the Police dog.
They'r hunting a crazed cop killer and NOBODY thought to bring a rifle?
Never forgotten, always remember! Bless them all.
Easy to say in retrospect, but not having 2 people in that car at the gas station was an awful oversight.
Yes, I agree, or a few other officers hidden as back up. He was basically a sitting duck.
The cab driver had him!! Police lost him!!!
when your surveillance hide is compromised you move immediately. Very poor tactics by the 20-year agent who seem to have extensive training. Sad outcome.
I love how youtube feels the need to refresh a page now if you pause the video for 5 minutes. Best change ever.
20 years of experience but you forget to cover your blind side but with your gaze fixed at the Gas station for this dangerous fugitive.
I was watching it and screaming at him, get out and check your blind side!!! Why he was on look out by himself?
@@Chefmarcellett Not putting attention to detail to his blind side under the evil of darkness was a fatal mistake which cost him his life and the Bureau lost a dedicated officer, very sad having criminals who don't value human life and once they start to kill if not stopped they are on the edge of killing again, there was even a premeditation that this fugitive was returning to finish off his girlfriend because he was much aware she was a key witness in the cop killer case.
I remember seeing stuff like this before and thinking; "if I ever have to do a stake out like this I'll get out and stand in a dark corner or bush with my gun loaded and ready"
These days you could easily set up a few cameras and just hide out nearby.
also this part is hilarious => 20:53 "also a manual for a MAC-11 ASSAULT WEAPON"
@@doomguy510 The Officer who was on a routine patrol and mistook the FBI's agent's car as suspicious and made him present his badge got him uncovered and probably the fugitive was already somewhere in the undercover grass and watching whatever was happening at the Gas station where these people thought the trap was laid, technically it's never wise to stay inside a car because of cornered you can't manuever with your weapon for self defense or repel off a threat, inside a car is a fatal trap and sturbonly people fail to comprehend this.
The suspect DELIBERATELY kept changing the meeting place so HE would have home turf advantage as he'd ALREADY selected a meeting place. He KNOWS where they're going to park to surveil/ grab him SOOOO he can select his position to surveil/ shoot them WITH a get away route..
LOTS of LESSONS HERE
1. This guy reads books ON TACTICS...So be prepared to cover any and all flanks.
2. IF every news station and news paper within 300 miles of DC would have put his picture on the front page hed be caught/ dead within an hour. FACT...Look how fast it worked catching Richard ramirez? He wasn't off the greyhound bus 10 minutes and he was swarmed and apprehended.
3. To NOT let ALL the other cops get a photo of him, within several hundred l
Miles is INSANE. I thought FOR SURE, THIS HIGHWAY PATROLMAN WHO GIVE HIM A TICKET WAS GONNA DIE...HE DIDNT KNOW THIS SCREWBALL. I just couldn't believe how close he came to buying it. AND , LIKE Who says " my drivers license is in the trunk"...? Unreal
You KNOW this guys a cop killer so just might wanna get on the same FN PAGE..
God Bless the victims and their family's..
Stright Rambo 💯💯🙏🏾🙏🏾😳😳
If they'd let the local cops know about the surveillance operation, that lit up police car wouldn't have blown their cover,it may have saved Billy.
Exactly.
Can’t tell local cops because criminals associates ie cleaners and civilians in police station will inform existence of covert operation
This cop killer was just stone cold evil.
Thank God they got him.
The cab driver is a hero 🦸♀️ MAN
They will never be forgotten......
Yes they will 😅
Can we just appreciate the effort put into this to give us the feeling of how the actions happened.🙏
Haha this is what content used to be like before RUclips. TV wasn’t great in general but at least the shows were high effort not just talking heads.

Cinematography at it's finest! The golden era in my opinion 👌
RIP ALL COPS LOST LIFE TO PROTECT CIVILIANS FROM THIS MORAN
All the credentials this last downed officer had, meant nothing, because they were playing it too safe, to predictable and reacting just as the killer knew they would. He was a sitting target. He should of been out of his vehicle with a dummy posing as him in the driver's seat
smart girl.
Stupid comment !!! "All police cars should have a dummy in their trunk"
Criminal always has the edge over police. Police cannot act they have to react to criminals
Even when police are under cover the criminals are ones in drivers seat.
I cant breathe.
Scummy polis
Honestly I don't know that it would have helped. The guy saw the agent identify himself to the policeman that came to investigate his vehicle -- the patrolman's accidental involvement would have ruined the cover no matter what, and moreover, the killer got to within very close range of the agent he surprised; the disguise wouldn't have fooled him at that distance.
The gun fight at the end reminded me of the tv show police squad. Massive gun fight 50 ft apart and no one gets hit lol.
🤣🤣🤣yeah
Adrenaline and stress mount up.... sometimes is harder to shoot properly on short range then at longer distances when you can aim for a bit....
As soon as he heard a noise he should have reported it and left the area while the other agents eased into the area....
How did they know he heard a noise? He died, maybe he did report it. Did I miss something here?
Nadine and the cab driver were real heroes, McLean was a monster and a coward! It’s crazy to look back at the antiquated technology and lack of weapon power the police, and even the FBI had at the time.
Apparently they weren't using protective vests at the time. Also, it didn't appear that they had long guns, if the reenactment was accurate.
I wonder why the cop killer didnt have a getaway vehicle parked on the other side woods
44:35 I love how the agent at the back has no recoil
This case was from 95', in case you were wondering.
No actually 99.
I know this because I was a detective on this case.
So why did he say 95'?
@@leerjet8784 why do you think he started killing cops?
@@leerjet8784 have you ever worked on a case having to do with Wayne Perry or Sean Branch?
Very good Cinematography!
I have the highest respect for the FBI Agents, Profilers, etc that make our Nation safer. One of them should be The Director
Always Always go in pairs for safety reasons.
This is funny seeing the actors using the radio like it's a phone.
Nonsense. How does the criminal evade police like that
Billy know the man was there when he hear the fiist move he should start his car and go.
Police did not do a good job - how can you sit by yourself and wait for an ambush? Than pinned down by one man?
That guy should've joined the Marines.
Frager
Why so many cruel peoples are living on this planet?
90% of all
Heart breaking.
So sad the second cop was killed due to the incompetence and lack of communication between the law enforcement department...that patrol car and officer giving up the location of Mr Christensen...dumb absolutely dumb on the department's stupidity, for that coward to take his own life makes my blood boil...only one cop out of all those there had the brains to come from another attack point to encounter this coward...the whole situation of capturing the cop killer was a travesty of errors on there part & with their incompetence once again should bear blame for the second officer's death...this makes me so angry for the loss of this poor officer's life...intact...both officer's lives and to think they could of apprehended him earlier on...and there again to withhold vital information and let this coward evade capture...the more I think about it the angrier I get with the lack of competency from these cops
that's right 👍👍👍
I thought the person in the sketch was John Cena
Back in 95, there were corrupt cops in dc and I am one the victims
I once was abused by a black cop and once defense Distric attorney let 3 black man walk away after beating me up close to death!
That was an outrage. Best wishes for you and your loved ones.
They are all corrupt they are scum in 95 an in today.
They cant breathe
Meaning mostly not normal people but people like them
That's DC police for you...harassing the good citizens while the criminals get away
Watching this video and watching in the end how the officers positioned themselves observing the gass station I immediately thought that the cop killer was too smart and that he would at least take one of them out sneaking up from behind. The risk was too high that he expected the police to be there observing the gass station. Unfortunately it happened just like I thought. I could not believe how reckless these experienced cops acted.
my thoughts exactly. they had thought they had plenty of agents surveilling the area but were lax in letting Chritian stay alone and help was so far away as to be ineffective. They did not get the man, the man got himself, they have nothing to be proud of
Join the force and show them how it should be done RAMBO..
Never been this early 😁
I know what Obama would say. But I won't. LOL
were there riots ,marches and murals for this guy too ?
Cab driver is brilliant
Sad thing is Swat are sent in when the offender is contained and trapped. Operational police never have this advantage and often are under under equipped compared to the offender.
Love how classic this is 5:07 but funny acting 😂😂😂😂
God rest their souls, those brave police officers
Thank you officers. You were brave beyond words. You were and are loved then and now

As a Retired Army Ranger that is what we do the tactical movements. Not praising this fool but his low crawl was pretty good. Heart goes out to the officers families. Not just the ones that died but all.

Law enforcement does certain routines. They are capable of thinking outside of the box
Man christian got hit . May he rest in peace 🕊️.
I can't believe the police is so asleep!!!!!!!
Me too! How are you Linda?
Someone that don't like coppers, why I don't know !
Why after obtaining a search warrant, do the cops not put eyes on the place for a few days to establish the whereabouts of the suspect? Why just blunder in? You ideally want to arrest the suspect, where they are, in or out of the place, AND have a relatively safe entry to their premises ??
Back when the FBI actually served the people and wasn't just some political organization
I thought only democrats were for defund the police now the GOP is for it too.
Great job getting the actual shooter, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MAN THAT THEY FRAMED FOR THE MARYLAND SHOOTING?
Right just straight up lie on the poor man and lock him up didn’t even have evidence to prove it was him crazy
You really think they give a F about of their own victims?
The FBI guy has a presence he was good for the show
He got off on them cops
When FBI call themselves experts.
The agent, with two many years of experience, lethimselff gets killed .
The momen he hear noise from that should take cover outside the car.
How did they know that Christian heard movements outside his car but saw nothing ?
You rite.
Good point sir
Because in the reenactment they have to show some light on the car.
But in reality it’s pitch dark. You can hear but you can’t see.
@@henkdevries251 Well that doesn't answer the question HOW did anyone know he heard something? (before he died) Did he make a record of it? Did he somehow tell someone?
That’s a fact how they know that
More to this story then we will ever know , every personal to take such violence to law enforcement , he knew he was going to lose from beginning
Yeah, I would like to know why myself. No one would do this without a cause. Like you said "he knew he was going to lose from the beginning " so he had to have something that happened to him or to a loved one.
Interesting how he evaded the police after he was in the cab ,would have thought he was caught for sure..
Stupid surveillance, the hunter is now the hunted.
i hope these guys upgrade their weapons, snub nose revolvers are no match for a semi auto
Yes, maybe a bigger revolver..
It was still a cop's gun that ended his life
Crazy man
What makes a person wants to risk his life, for less than $50 grand a year ? I wouldn’t do it for a $million .
When we get tired of police picking on us. Then we come looking for use!
why didn't the state police officer know that there was a suspect cop killer on the run. with info on him and his car.? really don't understand that.
B.christian lost his life because of his and his coworkers stupidity. After being exposed by patrolling officer and hearing some souns , they should change their positions and strategy .
The real burning question....did the cab driver still get a parking ticket?
Billy Christian passed his final exam with flying colors no doubt ... He likely has an outstanding eternal deployment assignment ... He is not lost. Theres a good chance he works alongside St. Michael the Archangel and the guardian angels of officers, military, and special forces personnel... [who are trying to do the right thing !!]
While the detective Billy was sitting in the car watching, and since the detective Billy was killed, then who told you that Billy heard voices twice and then turned and did not see anyone
🤔🤔
Makes the story sound good to add a little here and there
They were all talking to each other on radios
Therefore he would of told them that he'd heard movement then probably said "never mind, false alarm" not realising that Ralph was nearby
Billy could have mentioned to his co-workers via radio before he was killed.
I was a detective on this case
I believe wen your position is somehow compromised, u immediately move to give a false impression to the fugitive...how could you get this sloppy
FIX THE DAMN GUN PROBLEM
Oh boy. Those were the days when body armor was considered unnecessary if you were a REAL cop! Or it was considered not "cost effective". 🤔How many lives were lost through ego or accountants!? I've been at the sharp end too. With zero body armor plus synthetic and flammable clothing included as a bonus! 🤬

Same second they were revealed in stake out they should cancel whole action.... rotation lights are designed to be seen, they knew he was in area....... and those lights had lighten whole area.
Plus they were freaking FBI WHY THEY DID NOT HAD NIGHT VISION....
I am glad that guy was put down but with all respect to officers they really executed really poor action.
Also second when they located him..... WHERE WERE HELICOPTER SEARCH LIGHTS???
There could be some folks that will love this and plan to do harm. Hopefully not but in today's world it is almost predictable.
Young and the restless
Ya mean da bros outta control but blaming everyone else dat Deys just hate to work😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
An other awesome recreation.
The narrator's voice is unique.
Here i am thinking that the FBI have AR's or at least semi-automatic guns but no. Why bring pistols????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BillyChristian had been less cautious when he heard a noise from out for the second time . He did not feel something dubious was around. His inner sense failed to warn him and that was his end. Many a time nature fails to warn a person who has to be dead next. Had he been warned even at that last moment he could have steered his vehicle a litle forward that he might have escaped too many bullets and would not have been dead.
Wrong mistake ... You don't have a sniper
