Adrian Toomes used to be a 70-year-old businessman and genius engineer who wanted revenge to get back everything he had for his business. He used his high tech suit and wings to become one of Spider-Man's most oldest and most underrated villains known as The Vulture.
It's nice to see The Vulture finally after so many years of being tossed around as potential Spider-Man movie villain is now getting that live action treatment in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Captain Bermuda Me. I am in love with the villain the vulture. He's design and appearance in Spider-Man Homecoming was spectacular! I have always been fascinated with flying and birds. Vulture should have his own debut series as a major villain in the comics.
This Former Electronics Engineer Turned Criminal Is No Doubt The Winged Flying Harnessed Enemy Of Everyone's Favorite Friendly Neighborhood Web Slinger
Because we needed four villains. He was going be the villain in spider-man 4 along with dr Connors aka the lizard. Also maybe black cat or someone like her,
For such a cool character, Spiderman has one of the worst and lamest rogues galleries of any super hero. It sounds like a fight at the goddamn zoo. The scorpion, the vulture, the rhino, the lizard, puma, chameleon, tarantula, Beetle, Jackal, Hammerhead, Grizzly, Iguana, Squid, the Human Fly, Man-Wolf, and Doctor Octopus.
He also has enhanced physical strength as a side effect of the harness he wears under his costume, he's a brilliant scientist and escape artist, he can use his wings as bladed weapons during melee combat AND he's an expert at ariel combat due to YEARS of studying his own tech!
Artoo Ceepio Hmmmm... I think it could be too much of an even match! They both have power suits, they can both fly, Vulture may be older but his harness grants him enhanced strength and stamina so Falcon's youth might actually be a WEAKNESS due to the fact that despite his combat training he still has less experience... Whatever the case may be, it would still be incredibly interesting to see! Maybe The Vulture should consider leaving Spider-Man alone for now and pick on The Falcon instead for awhile...
i've seen the art... i've read the book too :) i know that but when sony decided to go with venom, raimi already had the concept art for the vulture so he decided to make the vulture and the "vultress" main villains and bring the sandman back to help spiderman in spiderman 4
Another of my favorites. Yes, he's just an old man who can fly. But that's why I love him! He's too crotchety and mean to die! He just keeps on going, driven by vengeance that's always just out of his reach! Adrian Toomes is just an old guy who was done wrong; instead of taking it, he fought back. He's always fighting back. He's probably one of the most sympathetic villains, and proof that Today's Marvel can never create anything new and unique, compared to Stan Lee, Ditko and Kirby.
So he was not able to absorb youth from people like in the animated series? I remember he found a Sacred Tablet from an Ancient Temple and this made him young again...anybody a little help???
I'd love to see how many old guy jokes you can tell him before he swoops you up, and drops you about 22 stories, and says "you've just got time for one more; make it a killer!"
I only watched the Spider-Man animated series when I grew up in the late 90's, but I thought The Vulture's thing was that he stole youth from others, and thereby got temporary super(youth)powers before he after a few hours turned back into a frail old man, barely capable of flying with his suit. Then he accidently zapped Spidey's youth and got the greatest power-up up till then, but also got Spidey's "mutant-disease" of growing 4 extra arms and 6 extra eyes every now and again o.O
Can anyone clear this up for me. In the amazing spiderman tv show the vulture also had the ability to absorb energy from people as so to make himself young for a certain amount of time. Of course more life absorbed meant more time young. But why didn't they touch on it at all. From the shows I watched as a child it seemed like a more important ability/tool to me. At least I thought. Any help would be nice. I don't post often but this got my brain goin......... sort of........
There were, in fact, one or two storylines from the comics where the Vulture stole Spider-Man's youth. Those aren't his regular powers, but I guess they chose that story to adapt for the animated series because it was unique.
Yes. That story arc did happen in the comics. He did temporarily gain the power to drain lifeforce to become young but it was a power he only had for a few years and then he lost it. It wasn’t a staple of the Vulture’s character or anything.
Since marvel has a shared universe, here's one fight I'd eventually like to see: The Vulture vs the Falcon. Hero vs villain to see who is the better bird.
Actually that was Spider-Man 3. At the beginning of the movie Spider-Man gets him locked up and Marko goes to visit him on a regular basis because he's promising to cure his daughter, making him commit crimes. At the end of the movie sandman finds out who Spider-Man is and Vulture forces him to break him out and kidnap MJ leading to the final showdown. Theres even concept art of the breakout it's pretty cool, i can't post the link but google vulture sm3 concept art.
One correction: Spiderman and Vulture are not equally strong. Spiderman can lift up to ten tons while Vulture is about Batman´s strength level. But Vulture has an advantage in speed and with his razor wings.
Another of my personal favorites. Yes, he's just an old man who can fly; but that's why I love him! He's too crotchety to quit, too mean to die! Adrien Toomes was just an old man who was done wrong. Instead of taking it, he fought back. He's always fighting back, driven by a vengeance that always seems just out of his reach. He's a textbook study in why obsession with vengeance is a tragic route: On the one hand, it keeps him alive and motivates him, despite his age. On the other, his single-minded drive for vengeance causes him to make decisions that steal victory from him just before he can achieve it, and even causes him to lose the things he loves. Would-be villains, take note....
The 1994 series you do realize he gets his youth back permanently right in partners that episode where Spider-Man the Black cat the scorpion and the vulture fighting against Alistair Smythe Annalisa silver mean watch it you’ll get what I mean
You mean Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, right? I'm not sure if you've noticed, but it seems they're choosing to stick to comic book heroes and villains. Anyway, Scorpion's not much of a villain, sure, he fights for out world, but that's only so he can get to Sub Zero, whom he was tricked into believing was the one who killed his family.
very true my friend... though he would apparently be the sandmans cell mate in spiderman 4 so that would be intresting and probably would help deepen the relationship between flint and his daughter
There was a ludicrous storyline a long time ago in which the aged Vulture drained the "life force" out of an android of one of Peter's parents (yes, you read that right) via an electronic cable that returned his youth. He loses it again a few issues later when a villain called DeCay (yes, you read that right again) touches, him, and ages him back to his usual self. It's much worse than it sounds, and yet another reason I was grateful I gave up today's Marvel comics...
Peter was just as right. Violence is not the way to go. There are laws that must be followed. They used there power irresponsibly and ergo don't deserve it.
I actually made that joke yesterday. In the TAS he does seem more of a threat able to suck the youth out of you and turning you old but eh, Spidey does have better foes to against actually.
What if stan lee and steve ditko created female villainess version of vulture and in that female villainess character alter ego name was adriani toomes/vulturess and vulturess became super villainess of spiderwoman and what if in this video name had added another video name and in that new video name was Super Villainess Origins: Vulturess and here it name of that new video was Super Villainess Origins: Vulturess
If I where him I would be pissed too. I mean he could have been rich like Tony Stark. However he should have just got a good lawyer or got a job elsewhere like Stark Enterprises. I find it amusing whenever Spidey goes to beat up Vulture. He could just act like an innocent old man and make it look like he was being beaten up by Spidey. They didnt mention there is a new vulture.
I've read that in the commentary of the Spiderman 3 dvd Sam Raimi mention's that he wanted Ben Kingsley to portray the Vulture and have him star along side Sandman in that movie instead of Venom.

Michael Keaton was a badass Vulture, and perfectly fitting in with an amazing movie!
apparently he actually went up to tom holland in the spidey suit and said "Im Batman"
they even had a vulture cast back when Toby mcguire was playing spider man, really miss that version
Ben Kingsley.
usernamedkjah But Kingsley was going to be the Vulture in Spider-Man 3 before the character was taken out.
usernamedkjah Jameson`s son

This video's views are about to explode
I’m from the future and it hasn’t
He is one of the most underrated spiderman villains but i still think he should appear in an Amazing Spider Movie (one of them)
Dont know if you saw the new trailer but you can see doc ocks tentacles and vultures wings in one of the shots
I did see it and didn't notice Vulture's Wings so thanks for telling me
Tim Drake Btw, they are gonna introduce the sinister 6 in amazing spiderman 2
your wings are better Tim
jrwith Of course they are Jrwith, of course they are
Anybody else here after Spider-Man Homecoming.
mee 😂😂
Captain Bermuda yes
Captain Bermuda Yes

Michael Keaton is amazing as the vulture. Possibly the best on screen marvel super villain to date
batman v spiderman: homecoming
Please do Scorpion.
WHY DOESNT ANY ONE REMEMBER THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER MAN
because it was too short
too bad,it was really awesome.
Connor Gellman yea it twas kewl
The version voiced by Robert English d?
Connor Gellman it has a great theme
Connie Gellman I do, I always will, it’s the best Spider-Man show ever, too bad that it was cancelled after only two seasons

He was nearly this close to making an appearance in Spider-Man 3
Because we needed four villains. He was going be the villain in spider-man 4 along with dr Connors aka the lizard. Also maybe black cat or someone like her,
+Jkop well recent news, he's gonna appear in Spider-Man Homecoming
And my movie: The Amazing Spider-Man 3.
Michael Keaton As The Vulture.. First Super Villain
+Ian Saenz No he stepped out
Dipalok Mondal Damn that suck, getting DC Main Actor to Act as A Marvel Villain would of been Good
+Ian Saenz He's back in talks with Marvel actually. It might still happen.
OneSquiggly Line Michael Keaton was also Batman, don't forget about that
He is
Spider-Man's "oldest" foe.
I'd love to see him in a spidey flick, for me the vulture was one of the first villians I read about in comics
I can't wait to see him in homecoming
Love that they included that little tidbit about his farm in Staten Island from ASM#2.
"The Forgotten Borough" still has a few tricks! ;)
Never let a old man touch your genetals
Michael Keaton as Vulture will surely be fucking awesome for Spider-Man: Homecoming
and thats why we love spidey even though he has the cheesiest villain rouge galleries.
Micheal Keaton did a great job as vulture
I don't want to sound like im hating on the vulture but can someone explain to me why he is a good villain because to me it looks like he can just fly

MCU villains are great! I know not everyone shares this opinion.
marvel villians are great. "MCU" villians not so much

michael keaton from birdman to vulture
Looked badass in the homecoming trailer
I wasn't too thrilled with the drone like wings. Before there was the Falcon, there was the Vulture.
The world is changing boys.
TIME WE CHANGE TOO
He did that in the 90's cartoon, so you're confusion is understandable. I was the same
i had no idea burns was a spiderman bad guy
Another of my favorites. Yes, he's just an old man who can fly. But that's why I love him! He's too crotchety and mean to die! that didnt happen in the comics.
Irving Campos Lugo KEYSI that's what I was thinking
wrong. it did happen in the comics in a minor story arc but he lost the ability to absorb lifeforce later.
Vulture my favorite spidey villain
lex luthor with wings
I glad they pick him for Spider-Man movie debut in the mcu in Spider-Man homecoming
ugh i neeed to stop watching these and go to bed lol
if he's able to make new suits out of random junk while in prison, the guards should really think about limiting his arts&crafts supplies in future
I'd love to see how many old guy jokes you can tell him before he swoops you up, and drops you about 22 stories, and says "you've just got time for one more; make it a killer!"

I read about the Vulture in the Noir universe and I gotta say that Vulture is way darker.
Everything in the Noir Universe is darker
He will be an antagonist in The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The vulture should be in a Spiderman movie. He is a better villian than most people think.
I was looking for the origins of The Beetle
Day of the Hum-animals:
Vulture joins forces with animal-based villains,Rhino,Lizard, and Doctor octopus and they the gang,The hum-animals.

There's a scooby doo monsters unleashed joke in here somewhere I wonder what James gunn and Tim Blake Nelson would think about the vulture
spiderman and batman have the best villains
Is he the guy from the beginning of the film Kick-Ass? besides the color, he seems very similar.
