Her name is actually explained in Where Walks Aphrodite and is further explained in Curse of the Manticore ( I think that's the title ) but ya I see what you mean lol
Mystery Incorporated made me feel like I was watching the Scooby-Doo movies like Zombie Island and I loved it cause thats how I always felt Scooby-Doo should have been. It was dark, the dangers were real, they actually got hurt, people actually died, there was depth to side characters and main cast, villains were still true to the formula and some went above and beyond. It became my favorite series incarnation of the group and I really wanted more
I can't wait in 7 years when gen z is old enough for nostalgia bait so Warner greenlight's the missing season 3 for mystery incorporated on Netflix for something
I personally love Mystery Inc. In my opinion it is by far the best Scooby-Doo series. It has character development, an overarching story, and pays homage to previous Scooby-Doo series, and spoilers ahead for people who haven't watched yet. My personal theory is that everything we see in the previous Scooby-Doo series happened in Crystal Cove, but after the timeline was reset mystery inc. starts traveling solving mysteries. So in my personal theory Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. is actually a prequel to the original Scooby-Doo. Yes this theory is strange and only kinda makes sense, but I personally like to believe it
That doesn't make sense. In the very first episode they basically referenced all the old mysteries as something they solved personally. And even made call backs to it in later episodes. They even used the old Robot in the second season as well. So the OG technically happened first. The "Evil Entity", also was responsible for many events in the first place. Sure, you can argue things repeat them selves post reset, but they already retained the knowledge on how to deal with it. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Oh yeah, when I heard the gunfire watching that episode I was like "Oh she's dead- oh no" It was technically the second time I watched Mystery Incorporated because I first saw it around the time season two started, I only got to see season one at the time and forgot about it until a few months ago.
i really admired the more adult humor intermingled with the super childish humor. gives it that something-for-everyone feel. ive watched this series probably a good ten times now thats how much i love it
I remember that this one dude gets mauled to death by Professor Pericles, Cassidy either died from the explosion or drowned to death, and Marcie got gunned down by nazi robots. Jesus, these deaths were fucking dark. OH AND THEN THERE WAS THAT LITTLE DOG SCOOBY LIKED, I don't remember her name, and she got trampled by those dead cow-bee-Parana things, ending up in the hospital and I think she died later on? AND THEN THEY KILLED OFF THE ENTIRE TOWN WHEN THE EVIL THING ATE EVERYONE JESUS WHY DID MY PARENTS LET ME WATCH THIS
@@LesbiansMarie yeah. That was apocalyptically awesome! It felt like a real show. I so want to see a cartoon adaptation of Scooby Doo Apocalypse! Lots more killing and drama to be had.
@@robertrowley4929 Same here, I think it's the only time Scooby-Doo was seen more than a "childish show" Mystery Inc was the best thing to happen to Scooby-Doo, it needs more recognition. I was babysitting three girls one night and I got tired and offered to put on Mystery Inc because I just so happened to be rewatching it. They said they didn't like Scooby-Doo- that is until I put on an episode and sucked them in.
The creepy settings, dark themes, radioactive substances, missiles and 5 deaths in a show, along with scary ass villain designs, I swear this show was pretty dark. Also can there just be a reboot cuz I would actually watch it 😭😭😂😂😂🤣🤣
Really? I just really fucking hated every single enemy, mostly the villain but the kids never thought about how parents helped them since while they are kindergartners they wouldn’t all be okay on the first day of the parents leaving
Mystery incorporated is the best example of “sometime edge can be a good thing” as I can’t remember a time in my adult life I’ve found scooby doo to be so compelling to watch
I remember visiting my sibling's apartment and their roommate was watching the first episode of Mystery Inc, and you know a show is gonna be good when one of the last jokes of the episode was "You've already got a steady job as a teacher, why rob a bank? ...Oh, right."
Don’t forget the part where there’s like a 30-second gap between the asking of the question and the punchline, during which the teacher just looks so incredibly tired.
i feel like having shaggy and velma starting in a relationship before just staying friends in a non-awkward still-close kind of way would be a far better direction for them, it would help to teach kids things that romantic feelings are more complicated than "theyre either in-love or theyre not".
See, this is why I like Nick's channel. Instead of adding to the pile of "Scoob is garbage and here's why" videos, he talks about the excellent Mystery Incorporated which found a way to make Scooby Doo feel pretty fresh again without completely changing everything about it. I much prefer channels that focus on praising enjoyable tv shows and movies rather than channels that constantly tell us that *insert poorly received tv show/movie here* was indeed bad. Analytics suggest that I'm in the minority, unfortunately. Great video, Nick!
I think it's completely justified with Scoob! MI gave us a plot that felt cinematic, familiar yet faithful to the source material while giving the franchises a new life without sacrificing its values. The movie took what made MI work and took a gigantic dump on it in exchange for what was hip for the time.
As a Scooby-Doo fan of the original, _original_ stuff, I do still miss a lot of what the show did at first, which has been lost over time. Like the eeriness and unease a lot of the first two seasons had. The subtle things. lol. However, I really admire this show for simultaneously commenting on and respecting the older parts of the franchise. I think it just goes to show how much people love Scooby-Doo, and most of the recent stuff, this show and the animated movies especially, come from a place of passion rather than just money-grabs. Though money-grabs are to be expected.
"Dont try that, you know the concept of time confuses me" Fred's humor literally killed me the whole show " ask me what I'm thinking about now, nothing! My mind is a complete void"
I really liked part when Shaggy returned from military service, and told us about his PTSD -Like, i had to kill people, man! Like, real people! Now they are dead, man! Zoinks
Man I LOVED how dark this series got, but my sister on the other hand despises it due to how different it is from the normal cartoon. I can't wait for when they eventually make a sequel to it cause that cliffhanger ending implying a new series just cannot be ignored.
Mystery incorporated was always like spectacular spiderman at least for me it was the definitive and best version of scooby doo Edit: Holy crap this got a lot of likes.
yes! Great comparison. Similar art style and darker stories. I LOVE Spectacualr Spidey even moreso than Scooby Doo MI because it never truly felt like the Scooby gang were friends (which actually factors into the plot, so it isn't a flaw just a personal problem) I personally put Ben 10 Omniverse in the same category but most may not agree. I wish the show had more serious moments but its levity was missing from the previous two installations and was welcomed by me. 3:17 I SHIT MY PANTS
This show made me a legit Scooby fan. It had everything. *MILD SPOILERS* I'll always remember this was the Scooby show that was crazy enough to gun down a teenager off-screen.
Fred doesn’t always reciprocate Daphnes feelings because he doesn’t understand social clues, he doesn’t understand them because he’s on the spectrum, it’s been confirmed by the creators
12:14 I honestly loved that detail with Shaggy's hair in season 2. With how it gradually grew back over the course of the second season instead of just like instantly getting all his iconic hair back in just one episode with no explanation except the "It's a cartoon" excuse.
Characters hair growing naturally in animated shows is a sign of quality. It’s the sort detail you only really get in shows like TOH, ATLA and Mystery Inc.
@@kyleellis1825 Well, none of the others got buzzcuts like Shaggy. Besides, Fred had to get a bit of a trim after gradually getting out of his hobo phase. But you're pretty much overthinking that particular aspect of any cartoon that has characters growing out their hair or getting haircuts, which can be done offscreen and have absolutely no reason to be mentioned.
Mystery Inc will always be my favorite iteration of Scooby Doo. It was mature, witty, and really well written. It was still childish, so it felt like Scooby Doo without changing it drastically. I love it with all my heart.
Even if it is edgy it's hands down the best portrayal of Scooby-Doo in my opinion. The characters had more depth & personality and I liked how snarky Velma was.
The level of quality and story telling between this and Velma is night and day. This was infinitely better in story telling and writing, not to mention it was done years earlier.
I was so pissed about that too. It would've been so fun to have a 3rd season, and if there ever was, I want Marcie to be in it more. Marcie was probably one of my favorite characters.
One of my personal favorite aspects of this show was the idea of an old mystery incorporated. It's a concept I wouldn't have thought of and the two groups being pitted against each other, the old becoming the antagonists was such an awesome story which added more unique characters to the Scooby-doo story than there had previously ever been.
@Ren Cen I loved the concept and really wanted to see a spin off with one of them. Specifically the benevolent lodge of mystery. Idk. Steam punk scooby-doo with a mega rich railroad tycoon and his orangutan sounds like a fucking epic noir style scooby-doo story. I'd go into debt to make that one happen.
@@Renkencen btw, I gotta ask, did you start rewatching Mystery Inc after Velma was announced because you wanted some good Scooby-Doo "adult" content?(I'm sorry, idfk how else I can describe it)
I love the small details in the show. The Vincent Van Ghoul episode, as a Scooby Doo fan and a Vincent Price fan is particularly a treat. Seeing Dr. Phobos (a homage to Dr. Phibes) is just such a delight. Heck, I'd love that design for a new Dr. Phibes movie.
Me and my son just finished this series recently and we loved every second m d of it. It was cooky and corny at times but it constantly evolved the characters grew along with the story and it was legit fun slowly unmasking the mystery of the cursed treasure aling with the gang. Plus I loved the sneaked in adult humor
One of my personal favorite things in this show is it's humor! All the things that happen in the show (i.e. Fred somehow having learned to fly a plane, or Shaggy saying he's been stuck with mannequins for a month) are never really questioned, and everyone just accepts that these things are happening. This "random humor" works really well with the show considering the actual basic plot of "bad guy of the week" is already pretty weird to think about happening in real life, so adding crazy scenarios doesn't feel out of place, it just adds to the story. I actually laughed out loud at some of the jokes made in the show, especially since most of them were making fun of stereotypes of people, without being overtly rude, because the stereotypes were all extremes (the evil corporation that constantly killed the environment, the communist group of college students who were constantly looking for something to fight for without reason, etc). For me, this humor really made the show so much more entertaining than other Scooby-Doo shows. There are just so many great things about this show I love it so much!
This and "What's new Scooby doo?" are the ones I grew up with, so they do have the nostalgia factor. I like that mystery incorporated is one long over-arching story, it's interesting.
@@pecadodeorgullo5963 I have watched all scooby doo series too except for the child version of them. When I was younger I was so obsessed with what’s new scooby doo and incorporated that I’d eat fast just to watch it in 12:00pm cus I have school in 1:30pm
Mystery inc was actually my jam when I was younger. The opening actually gives me chills. I remember having nightmares of that one episode where nova is in a coma, that was unnecessarily scary for 7 year old me.
@@GUNUFofficial Scoob. I haven’t watch Blue Falcon yet but from what I know about it, it seems to respect the source material better than it did in Scoob
I remember mystery incorporated, it was underrated. It’s so different with actual lore and an overarching story. It’s brilliant for how off the rails everyone was willing to go, and it worked. Easily my favorite version of Scooby-Doo. The characters aren’t one note and all have arcs of their own, making their interactions amazing. It doesn’t rely on throwbacks and tropes, but when they put it in there, it’s charming. The designs are amazing.
This is the thing that disappointed me in the series, the fact that saved all the actual supernatural events till the second season. Would've loved to see lighter elements of supernatural activity as the series went on to keep it more consistent. Also while I loved the monster of the week formula in first season I didn't feel like it was meshed in well in the second. As Mr E used that formula to test them in the first season he was already established by the second so it just made that formula have no purpose
@@ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣΛΑΧΑΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ Yes! In the season 2 Theater of Doom episode, the real ghost says "Heed the warning of the alligators: the dog dies!" In season 1 episode 2, when they are in the town full of alligators, the sign on the hotel says "The Dog Dies".
@@garretwithjust1t192 That was incredibly clever of them. They made us think that Scooby would die but in the next episode Nova ended up being the dog that died
Unpopular opinion (or maybe not,I'm not sure how people feel about the series): mystery incorporated is the best incarnation (I love the others, but this one is the best in my opinion)
I think one important thing it here with the edgy was that it was fun edgy. It took it self serious and at the same time not serious. It was blend that can be hard to do great.
I was really into History Channel as a child and it was essential in understanding and picking up the plot in Mystery Incorporated because the main arch could be something ripped straight from an ancient aliens episode
I see Be Cool as an unofficial sequel to Mystery Inc, because at the end of Mystery Inc, they get an invite to a university across the country (assuming) and the professor there said there would be a lot of mysteries to solve along the way. Well, Be Cool main plot is that they are traveling across the country solving mysteries during their last summer break. Kinda easy to connect the two together.
I honestly thought that Where are You? Was a sort of unofficial sequel to Mystery Inc. Even though Mystery Inc. Came a LOOOOONG time after Where are You?
@@melaniesoto7187 Not possible. We see all the old monsters in the museum in crystal cove. They changed it so that all the monsters are part of crystal cove instead of all over the country. None of the Scooby-Doo shows are direct sequels
Be Cool Scooby looks like a Family Guy cutaway gag turned into a standalone series. The character designs of the characters are horrendous but the plot and the humor are decent.
This show was the stuff back then. It's in my opinion the best scooby doo show and it was edgy in compassion to what we have now. It was just overall a solid show and it still holds up.
When a Scooby-Doo show can: Make fun of scrappy doo Give Fred a deeper personality than traps Make the best side character in Scooby-Doo history( sheriff bronson stone) Make a miatory deeper than 1 episode Have some of the funniest one liners And out of context clips ever Tackle characters dying in a way that feels impactful Explain the lore and follow it while not being afraid to venture out on new ideas Have monsters that actually gave me nightmares And can make me invest in the characters deeper than ever It’s gotta be good!
It is. And I am genuinely not sure cancelling the 3rd season is good or bad. Because cancelling it make it end as a masterpiece. But continuing it would tell a lot more stories but there also a chance it will damage the legacy. But after all. It was great fun
i'm pretty young, born in the early 2000's, and this is mostly the version of scooby-doo i grew up with (aside from the weird, overly sexual live-action ones). I never had enough heart as a kid to watch it, so i just re-watched the first few seasons a few times, because i really did like the story and the animation and the characters and all. Re-watching and finishing Mystery INC. in my teenage years has and always will send chills down my spine. I still love the art style, even after years of advancements in both 2D and 3D animation. It's one of if not my favorite art style any show i've ever seen has. as a lover of gravity falls as well, it really appeals to that side of me that loves deep lore and mystery, as well as simple but at the same time stunning animation and lighting. i've always found 2D more compelling than 3D. no matter how much it advances and has advanced, it seems like i always come crawling back to this show to describe my favorite style and era of animation. i'll stop sharing my thoughts now, as my dyslexia is really making my pinky hurt from hitting the backspace so much. thank you for this video. now i know more reasons why i loved and still love Mystery INC. so much haha.
Mystery Incorporated. Aka. The best version Not Obnoxious, but not so edgy that it's impossible to watch without cringing, Pretty cool ngl. Unlike the new one, Has a pretty cool way of adding "real" monsters. And y'know, more cinematic.
Mystery Incorporated is the perfect show to watch when you’re starting to grow up, meaning that you can understand serious topics and shows with interesting lore start being more attractive. It’s around the appropriate age for watching Lupin III.
Also I’m a tank nerd, and the tank Scooby-Doo drove was an almost perfect rendition of a M60A3TTS, which is a tank at about 10,000 made, still in US national guard and marines as well as reserve units. It’s one of my favorite tanks ever made, so it’s neat too see. Although the hatch design was off, I can over look that.
I'm so glad other people are realizing how great this show is. It's so underrated. Non-fans of Scooby Doo could like it. It's so well written, has great characters, compelling mysteries, funny, a new modern edge, darker themes, SO many twists, and a crazy ending! When I was 10 I couldn't stop watching it. Hell, even now I would watch it again!
I can confirm as someone who isn’t really a Scooby Doo fan, This is a pretty good show.. I don’t love it as much as others seem to but I did enjoy it quite a bit
Thank you for mentioning Mitch Watson. The guy doesn't get enough recognition as an animation showrunner. Besides this show, he was also behind the underrated Beware the Batman and Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny. He also inserted a lot of MI's weird humor and bizarre lore into All Hail King Julien. And of course, there's Vic Cook who worked on the great Spectacular Spider-Man and the also underrated Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters.
Is the second season when they recruited Hot Dog Water, she replaces Daphne in the intro. She has the same intro part but the picture changes to Velma right before she hugs it. You wanna tell us something Hot dog?
this has always been my favorite cartoon series. like, ever. I watched it as a kid, and I've watched it fully through about 12 times. you could say it's been my longest hyperfixation. the music has always stuck with me. the cow bees episode gave me nightmares as a kid and was memorable as hell to me. the hex girls were my first ever same gender cartoon crush (around the same time as Jesse from pokemon). the overall plot was so cool. all the side characters were so funny and memorable too. I'm so glad people are talking about it more. it deserves all the attention.
Just rewatched it. The first 3/4 of the show is pretty well done. I wish they would have wrapped up all the character arcs better, and I wish it would have been a better villain that would have been a human pulling strings behind the scenes.
Velma's dynamic reads very differently now that I know she was intended to be a closeted lesbian. She pretty much forces the relationship, pressures him to do traditional boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, and finds so many nitpicks with him, you kind of wonder if she's even attracted to him. Plus, there's also the joke about how she is more disappointed that the mermaid she befriended was married than the fact that she was a fake.
While an interesting interpretation, it's not enough to justify her poor treatment of Shaggy. Even if she finds a healthier relationship with Marcie, she gets no repercussions or get called out for her toxic behavior while dating Shaggy.
It seems to me that she was more bi than straight up lesbian in this series. I think her problem with Shaggy comes from an idealized version of how a boyfriend should act/be (due to the fact that she never had an actual boyfriend before)but I do think that despite this she genuinely liked Shaggy. As for Shaggy, I don´t think he wasn´t interested in her but he is a bit more socially awkward in mystery inc than in other shows and movies, so he struggles to handle relationships and also trying to say what he wants (in other versions he tends to be a jolly person that can in fact interact well with others, even having love interest in some movies).
It's something a lot of smart people do. People with higher intelligence can easily be frustrated by the incompetence of others around them, that can go for sexual aspects too. That's exactly how Velma was. Constantly sexually frustrated with Shaggy and overall, was just incredibly bitter and sarcastic at times, being totally tired of dealing with people she thought were below her. I absolutely love this version of velma.
I remember being bored one day and opening Netflix, finding Mystery Incorporated and then binging it for like a week straight. Such a great show. That parrot guy is still etched in my head
@@LordVader1094 with there being people calling themselves progressives supporting zoophilia I realize them calling themselves progressive is incorrect. Plus all the other ridiculous things these "progressives" support.
The best part about this show was the world building of crystal cove and the side characters and villains that would re appear in later episodes. Angel dynamite was probably the best side character imo
It took me a while to see that Mystery Incorporated was a show that was worth getting into and though it did have some issues, I'm glad I did. It's a series every fan of Scooby Doo should watch.
Serialized TV is currently in, but it doesn't make for watching a random episode occasionally. The Looney Tunes Show managed to update the characters without you needing to watch the episode before it.
i grew up watching reruns of 'Scooby-Doo Wear are You!' and have see most subsequent reincarnations of the franchise. 'Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated' is the best incarnation ever before or since The OG show. it feel like a show that took all the best parts of all the best versions and even bits of the best movies and mixed it all into one show. i kinda feel like the end of mystery incorporated could be interpreted as a sorta loos prequal for 'Scooby-Doo Wear are You!' by answering the question of "Why" the gang is traveling around the world, and "How" as in How the hell a bunch of teens can afford to spent the equivalent of years traveling around the world and brining their Van along for the ride.
This show is criminally underrated... But man I forgot that they dragged it on so long. I graduated and moved out before this show finished airing. This and Looney Tunes Show deserve a lot more attention
@@jackdonohue7893 it started airing when I was a sophomore in high school. It finished when I had already moved out on my own. That's 52 episodes aired at a sporadic rate for 3 years. It wasn't exactly the easiest show to keep up on with cable at the time. I'm not saying the show itself dragged, I'm saying Cartoon Network had a terrible schedule for it
This one felt like it actually had a storyline while having the classic scooby doo loop at the same time. I watched it when I was 7ish and maybe will re-watch some time. I hope a season 3 comes out.
At end of season 2 Scooby Doo feels like Indiana Jones finding an artefact nazi robots yeah because Indiana Jones Movies are set în 30s and one în 50s With soviets
Mystery Incorporated is genius, genuinely funny and had an amazing story arch. I'm 18, re watched and was still shooketh that mayor jones was the freak of crystal cove ;-;
This was my favorite Scooby doo incarnation because it was darker and had amazing new supporting characters, and it didn’t follow the old formula some times and would focus on the end of the world which was to me the best part of the show A 10/10 series This show makes Velma look like it was written and directed by a 4 year old
"I wish the finale was expanded upon.." Same! There was so much they could have done and also continue on with another season of the show. For this reason, I'll leave you a like.
for real, the last episode should have been two separate episodes. Trying to cram finishing the overarching mystery and dealing with its aftermath in the same episode made it much more rushed than it really should have been
I’m really happy you took the time to present the flaws in season 1. I think many people who watched this show while it ran overlooked season 1’s faults because of all the other aspects & season 2’s storytelling redemption. Great job man, for real
I personally really enjoy Season 1. Though many of the episodes in the first half of the season were mediocre, the season really got entertaining in the second half to the point where there were barely any bland episodes. I enjoyed how we began to see story focused episodes like Escape from Mystery Manor and Pawn of Shadows, as well as episodes with a variety of themes such as the ones present in episodes like Dead Justice and The Dragon’s Secret.
I felt that in this vid when he said that after all Velma did to get Shaggy, Shaggy grows q pair and asks her out only to be shot down. Man those feelings go by fast

Wikipedia isn't a super reliable source of info for political topics because the editors are biased toward whichever side. There are articles on there that straight up leave out details.
@@cheeseboi588Wouldn't a regular source be more biased in that regard, not less? I mean, Wikipedia is obviously still going to be susceptible to that, but at least it has editors on both sides there to correct it, as opposed to a non-Wikipedia source, which would likely only have a small team of editors that all agree with the author anyways.

i really admired the more adult humor intermingled with the super childish humor. gives it that something-for-everyone feel. ive watched this series probably a good ten times now thats how much i love it
They legitimately kill, at minimum, four to five people in this show. It’s weirdly mature, despite still being very childish.
I feel like I'm the only person who watched this show who doesn't think that killing characters automatically makes it mature
I was babysitting three girls one night and I got tired and offered to put on Mystery Inc because I just so happened to be rewatching it. They said they didn't like Scooby-Doo- that is until I put on an episode and sucked them in.
The creepy settings, dark themes, radioactive substances, missiles and 5 deaths in a show, along with scary ass villain designs, I swear this show was pretty dark. Also can there just be a reboot cuz I would actually watch it 😭😭😂😂😂🤣🤣

Exactly! Like yes RUclips, I know that the new Lion King is bad. You don't need to tell me why for the billionth time.
I think it's completely justified with Scoob! MI gave us a plot that felt cinematic, familiar yet faithful to the source material while giving the franchises a new life without sacrificing its values. The movie took what made MI work and took a gigantic dump on it in exchange for what was hip for the time.
True, but I still like people telling me something is bad. I may know that it's bad, but why exactly it's bad is where things get interesting.

However, I really admire this show for simultaneously commenting on and respecting the older parts of the franchise. Right?
Characters hair growing naturally in animated shows is a sign of quality. It’s the sort detail you only really get in shows like TOH, ATLA and Mystery Inc.
So how come no one else mentioned needing regular haircuts/had hair grow? Why was it only shaggy who isn't wearing a wig?
@@kyleellis1825 Well, none of the others got buzzcuts like Shaggy. Besides, Fred had to get a bit of a trim after gradually getting out of his hobo phase.
That and from the lore, there were several mystery groupie with their own animal mascot! It make the Scooby group not so weird or an outcast of sort!
@Ren Cen I loved the concept and really wanted to see a spin off with one of them. Specifically the benevolent lodge of mystery. Idk.
Even as an adult, I really enjoyed Mystery Incorporated. It was really well done, and I liked that they kept many of the OG villins as cannon.

As Mr E used that formula to test them in the first season he was already established by the second so it just made that formula have no purpose

i'm pretty young, born in the early 2000's, and this is mostly the version of scooby-doo i grew up with (aside from the weird, overly sexual live-action ones). I never had enough heart as a kid to watch it, so i just re-watched the first few seasons a few times, because i really did like the story and the animation and the characters and all.
@@giboit. either way, both interpretations doesn't justify her behavior like I mentioned.
Her treatment of Shaggy really angered me.
I like how Mystery Solvers State Finals was _literally_ a fever dream but Johnny Quest and Blue Falcon are actual canon to the series universe.

It had two seasons. How is that dragging it on? haha
damn i managed to binge watch it in like a week
They didn't drag it out long at all? It only had two seasons man 😂 52 episodes in total. It just took a while for the second season to finish airing.
They didn’t drag it out.
I really dug this show. It gave a plot and lore to Scooby Doo, and I was loving it around age 8
"I have a felling for traps and Daphne!"
yeah that's not gonna get taken out of context.
I literally watched this show like 500 times over I absolutely love it.
Yep
At end of season 2 Scooby Doo feels like Indiana Jones finding an artefact nazi robots yeah because Indiana Jones Movies are set în 30s and one în 50s With soviets
As opposed a bit to Raiders of the Lost Ark
I’ve watched this show since I was 4 and it still holds up as a legendary show
GAME BOY ADVANCE SECRET CODE!
It’s one of Scooby’s Greatest achievement
what did the code do? i was genuinely curious
IIRC the ending of the game was a different non-spoiler ending, and the code gave it the real movie ending - could be wrong on that through.
Feathers McGraw that’s pretty epic
Mystery Incorporated is genius, genuinely funny and had an amazing story arch. I'm 18, re watched and was still shooketh that mayor jones was the freak of crystal cove ;-;
This was my favorite Scooby doo incarnation because it was darker and had amazing new supporting characters, and it didn’t follow the old formula some times and would focus on the end of the world which was to me the best part of the show
A 10/10 series
This show makes Velma look like it was written and directed by a 4 year old
"I wish the finale was expanded upon.."
Same! There was so much they could have done and also continue on with another season of the show. For this reason, I'll leave you a like.
for real, the last episode should have been two separate episodes. Trying to cram finishing the overarching mystery and dealing with its aftermath in the same episode made it much more rushed than it really should have been
This shows art style so much. I grew up on this
I’m really happy you took the time to present the flaws in season 1.
My mom’s favorite character in the show is the sheriff.
Moondoria he is a really good character
Yeah he is one of the best characters of the show.
And the fact he is voiced by Patrick Warburton makes it even better.
Imperial Spy yeah
The sheriff is the greatest character of all time
The show gave it a linear storyline, called back to past characters such as the hex girls, and actually managed to install a bit of fear
Did Fred just say “I’m dead inside”?
Most relatable line in scooby doo
I felt that in this vid when he said that after all Velma did to get Shaggy, Shaggy grows q pair and asks her out only to be shot down. Man those feelings go by fast
13:48 I can't believe saying Wikipedia is an invalid source for research is still a thing in 2020.
Besides, are you supposed to look through science journals for paranormal stuff? 😂
Wasn't it supposed to be some ancient civilization thing? If so it would have made much more sense to look at research journals on that civilization or something
Yeah! Like, wikipedia quotes it's sources, unlike many others who are considered more valid than it.
