I am 65 and this is my all time favorite song. My brother had a band in the 60's and always played this song in the band....which makes this song more special to me. He passed away in 1992, and thinking of this song More as my life goes on. You guys knocked it out of the park next to the original!!! Each and every player in your band as well as the singer!! I Thank You all!
I'm a 62 yr. old musician that remembers when I heard that track the first time on FM radio in 1967... I was 11. This performance is just about the best fucking performance I have heard since then to a pair of "fresh ears"...BRAVO !!! You guys are fucking AWESOME.
My dad used to play this song over and over in his piano while waiting for the rest of us get ready to go out somewhere. Every time...through my childhood and teens...this song reminds of him always...
My mom used to sing this song all the time during our karaoke nights, she passed away 7 years ago, I cried listeningto this, your rendition is beautiful she would have loved it
Been listening to these guys for years. Seen them live 9 times. They are in my top 3 favorite bands this century 100%. After leaving a show of theirs, a feeling like no other overwhelms you. They absolutely crush it! Glad to finally see them blowing up in the RUclips community rather than just the music festival world. They deserve every bit of greatness that comes their way. Let the planet be aware. Get Freshly Squozen. Love from Ohio!
I can finally tip my hat to Corey, Smiley, Max, Rob and Reuben...your individually amazing musicians...but together you are definitely ...The Main Squeeze..
First band I ever donated to, that I have not seen in person. You all are so good.. Know I am 75 yrs old and you guys give me so much pleasure....especially now since there is no live performances to attend. thank you so much.
I've just discovered these guys a few days ago and I am already a huge fan. I think what is the most incredible thing, aside from their brilliant playing and singing, is the fact that they mesh so well as a band. They remind me of Zeppelin. Certainly not comparing them, as no one can be compared to the almighty Zep, but with Zeppelin you had the Plant's insane vocals, Page shredding, JPJ doing a little of everything and Bonham... well, being Bonham. With these guys, its like everyone has great talent but there is no hogging the spotlight. Every during the epic guitar solos, they rest of the band is clicking, complimenting the phrases he is playing. That moment at the end when the singer is just grooving and listening to the closing riff proves that point. It is all about the music. Keep it up, guys!
"they mesh so well as a band. They remind me of Zeppelin." There you go, that's exactly it. To be honest, I'm not particularly fond of this tune and in no small part that's because I've heard it just too many times. Listening to this, however, was awesome!
I didn’t think anybody could really cover this song in a way I would like , it’s so ingrained in my head... I was wrong, beautifully played wonderfully sung .
I can't tell you how much this song means to me. My sister and I used to listen to this all the time. She passed away in 2010. I have never heard it played more beautifully
Damn every time I hear their guitarist I freaking hold my breath. So tasteful and melodic. I got so far to go but I will write like that... Someday LOL
I literally love everything about this. I love the video, the 4K quality is outstanding and you don't get it very often for this kind of content. I love the setting: the fireplace, the painting, the sword, the Bonsai tree on the shelf, the sun tapestry. I love the song, Procol Harum are such an underrated band and this piece is such a gem; I love how you polished it and refined it your way. With the taste and respect that are yours, such love for the music and the ones who composed it. I can't say but one thing: KEEP IT UP. Bless you all!
The original song is a musical masterpiece. Thank you for upholding the masterful creation in your cover. It made me extremely emotional. I am FOREVER grateful to my Dad for playing Procol Harum in the car and house when I was a kid because I have found the most incredible comfort, enrichment and love through this song.
New subscriber. Tell you I love your sound. The live setting sounds awesome. Nothing over produced like stuff today. I could listen to you guys all day. You guys are awesome musicians. Thumbs up from me.👍
It was good when JS Bach did it, and it's still good in this song. Seriously, it's hard to come up with chords Bach didn't use somewhere. I think in this case, though, Procol Harum were intentionally trying to sound like Bach.
I’ve never heard of this group before this is hands-down the best cover I’ve come across !! what makes this a great cover is the musical development from the solo piano to the Electric guitar even the drummer got a chance to show off whoever they are they definitely understand music Bach would be proud !!!
I always enjoy listening to you guys - always a treat. But this one got to me at the perfect moment, made me smile. Thanks. I see you have a show coming up too, good. Rock it.
Impressed by your capturing of the late 60's, early 70's soul/funk genre. It definitely suits you. I just hope you continue to create original music using that genre as your inspiration and style. Quality never goes out of favor. It simply comes back around with fresh eyes.
This is one of the best songs of all times. And this is the best version of it I ever came across. You guys left me in tears after I listened to it. I needed to hear that over and over again.
Great band all around! Each brings out the best in each other and I got to give some love to the bassist he's so underrated. You guys are just fantastic and hope you nothing but the best in life! Keep making music and doing covers we need more bands like you guys!
38 years old with a drinking problem.... What else is new?😢 But this is what I Fall asleep to,, seems to be the only peace I have.... God bless y'all!!!!
I came across you guys a few months back on YT playing Papa was a Rolling Stone and then checked out all your other vids. I have to say that you guys are one of the best bands I’ve heard in a very long time. You play together so well! I wish you every success. Keep it comin’!
Greetings from Turkey, guys. I've been listening to your covers for a while now. I think you're all very good musicians. 😊 (Guitar player awesome!) lots of love. 🙏🏻
Such an intense and at the same time brilliantly held back performance.. brought tears to my eyes as it triggered a feeling of pure nostalgia that goes beyond the original. Hope to one day see you guys live
Back in 1967 or so I was 20 and I loved this song. I was worried on a daily basis about going to Vietnam to fight a pointless war. May I say that you have a lovely voice. You have done a very nice version.
I rarely leave comments on any platform, but I think it helps the performers on youtube. Admittedly in some minuscule way, but I've started commenting on and "liking" every Main Squeeze video. Dig!
We just announced a huge tour! Get your tickets at squeezetour.com and we’ll see you on the road 🤘

🙏🏻🌈✝️❤ RIP to your bro. I lost my mom a year ago today and since it's raining this song seems to fit the mood.
Sorry about your brother.
I’ve always loved this song too and rarely have I heard it done so well by another band. May your bro RIP. 💜🙏💜
deeply sorry for you all losses. irreplaceable. next to Brooker, Cocker, these guys are striking best chords...
Our condolences!

My dad used to play this song over and over in his piano while waiting for the rest of us get ready to go out somewhere. Every time...through my childhood and teens...this song reminds of him always...
That sounds literally fantastic ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I just keep getting the feeling these guys really love music. i don't get that from a lot of big bands...bueno
I think the variety of music really helps to show that. Its not just one genre or one artist. Its all sort of great music
bien résumé
Richard Shapiro I totally agree, his voice is so captivating and the musicians are amazing
These gentleman respect and honor the original masterpiece while excelling with true talent in their own right. *MIND BLOWN*!!!
I agree!
My mom used to sing this song all the time during our karaoke nights, she passed away 7 years ago, I cried listeningto this, your rendition is beautiful she would have loved it
She had to be a great singer, lucky you. RIP
Sorry about your Mom 🫶💕 I lost mine 4 years ago, hardest thing I've ever been through. Hugs 🤗❤️
courage!
The natural piano was definitely the right call in a HUGE way. I cried.
Also my new favourite guitarist, drummer, bass player, keyboardist!! Don't tell mixed up everything lol
The singer has a set of pipes that sound like crushed velvet being poured over a thousand gospel singers. As sweet as it gets. What an awesome band.

100% without a doubt the greatest cover of this song I’ve heard
I am a 70 year old grandma and was around when this tune hit the air waves. You are simply amazing! Thank you for your excellence

the soul and heart of The Main Squeeze is beyond reproach. This is so well done, standing ovation here boys!
Every musician here is outstanding! Also, the camerawork is by somebody who actually understands what is going on musically.
I didn’t think anybody could really cover this song in a way I would like , it’s so ingrained in my head... I was wrong, beautifully played wonderfully sung .
I always come expecting incredible guitar solo and never get disappointed.
My friends... you just brought tears to my eyes. What a voice and performance! Thank you!
Could easily be a hit today, I love the vocals, his voice is fantastic....this is certainly his best vocal performance of their videos yet.
I can't tell you how much this song means to me. My sister and I used to listen to this all the time. She passed away in 2010. I have never heard it played more beautifully
That bass line is on point!
Yes the bass follows a classical style which fit perfectly! Better than the original.
Phenomenal cover of one of my favourite songs. So emotional....
Damn every time I hear their guitarist I freaking hold my breath. So tasteful and melodic. I got so far to go but I will write like that... Someday LOL
same
Jeremy Gayness the guy is unreal. His playing is off the charts amazing.
Gave me chills - memories of my father, who would play this on a worn out piano. Bravo, gents!
This song will be around forever, especially with people like this creating evocative interpretations. And the singer--what a voice!
Damn - not only are you guys all great musicians, you consistently keep picking some of the best tunes to showcase your talents. Great job once again!
Chills down my spine on "as the miller told his tale"
Fandango for me 😃😃
I had the same reaction then and just before the guitar solo.
Oh yeah... Thanks guys !! You make a old man's heart smile ..
Take me to church! Love this! Chicago misses you!
Much respect boys. I’ve always said this is the best song of all time, and you did it justice.
Never heard this song done so beautifully

Where can I find originals?

Gary Brooker acknowledges that he was inspired by Bach's Air On A G String. You can really hear it here on the piano.
How wonderful his singing voice is❗
😃😄😋😚😍😝🎉💐🎵❗
So slick. The chemistry is palpable.
now you’ve done it. you’ve made me cry
I fucking love this band. Everything about it

Phenomenal cover! Great balance of staying true to the original and adding your own flavor to it.
These musicians have the soul needed to recreate such great music. I am normally not a fan of cover bands, but these guys got it go on!
Wow guys! What a soulful cover of the most played single ever! Loving it!
This is like Procal Harum meets Percy Sledge. Amazing
Wow great comparison!
Love the soulful touch to it...vocals are impeccable

One of my all time faves and still a mystery to me when it comes to the lyrics. :)
Beautiful.
