Dr. Bloom: Assuming... direct control.
Harbinger: This, hurts me.
Everyone: It hurts us too.
Seriously they suspected him for being compassionate just what kind of organisation like the SCP foundation expects people not have humanity aka compassion?
An organization where the smallest bit of emotional instability could mean the difference between life, death and the end of all existence o3o
I think their logic is that if he had communicated with it differently, stalled for time, they could have contained it while it was still alive, repaired it, and gotten more information. In all likelihood, it was probably too late either way and he did make the right choice, but still.
@@lenni01 But that makes no sense. Any good psychologist knows that coldness is closer to emotional instability than the kind of emotion he showed here.
Floating in the Vastness of space for the longest of time with a mission from a Race that’s long gone. It relayed its message without knowing what it means and in the End it did it’s mission and was comforted in its final moments. God why am I crying still?
Heh, haven't read this one in a while. A solid reminder, by the best SCP RUclipsr we got. :)
Seriously, I have tears. Real tears on my irl face. How dare you, Volgun, you brilliant jerk. *TRYING NOT TO UGLY CRY*
I expected buldge jokes in the comments.
Was not dissapointed
Sandhiren Pillay I expected ‘buldge’ jokes as replies; I was disappointed.
OwO
OwO
@@riphopfer5816 you mean something like that?
yeah nah, I meant jokes about a regular, everyday bulge with an huge, prominently visible 'd' sticking up out of it...
6:12 dude this is like surprisingly surprisingly uplifting.
This is probably connected to pattern screamers.
Most likely Harbinger's makers were trying to contact the Humans that created SCP 1795, or whatever remained of them.
Based on the biotech nature of their probe I'm guessing they found an instance of 1795 and modeled their tech after it... unfortunately, they may have also found out about the Pattern Screamers from it as well, sealing their fate.
The sanction to Dr. Bloom was unwarranted imo. The SCP should not forget the humanity it seems to supposedly protect.
Man even the aliens are [REDACTED]
How could anyone not be sad talkin to that creature? It was apparently over a billion years old and still had the mind of a child, delivered a very important message and it was still able to tell you that it understood it was dying but that it was okay because it was able to deliver it's message...
Organic starships: one of my many weakness.
What are you? Protoss?
@@Cygnus0lor Don't you mean Zerg? Though I also have a thing for psionic based tech too.
Crap Starcraft player though... :(
@@Bobby90 Zerg having living starships counter protoss, therefore you'd be protoss. But yeah same.
This hits home in ways that are too close. Oh. I hope the person who wrote this knows just how amazing it is. Thank you for putting it to voice. I'm just going to go cry for a bit.
Ah, DrEverettMann. Amazing writer.
