Ellie is the best at knowing how to deal with Rowan
I love how Rowan did what he always does when shown how his ideas backfire on him by walking off and acting like he's doing work.

Also, brilliant solution from Ellie, but I was just waiting for her to knock those headphones on the floor and be like "oops, hey Rowan, show me how the AI puts this back on the shelf"
Better yet drop a pencil on the floor ...
Just ask the ai to stock the shelf and see Rowan's face😅
I thought for sure that was how Ellie was going to defeat Rowan.
That would be too reasonable to convince Rowan. Ellie knows you have to lean into whatever fantasy he comes up with next.

That would have been Alan if he didn't check the email before coming to the store.

Ellie's expertise in handling Rowan is unmatched.
This episode perfectly encapsulated each character. Brit is unable to comprehend not working at Tech Town and just literally bluescreens. Adam with the tail end of another fascinating and wtf story. Ellie being the only person who knows how to deal with and checkmate Rowan. Rowan coming up with a bonkers idea that he's too proud to admit he's wrong on and then just runs away. Alan being the only one who checked his email amd just didn't come in.
I thought that it turns out, that Brit is an AI all along and she will take over the store by herself.

I was waiting for the tagline to be something like 'maybe we should try rebooting her'...
The real reason she was so nervous. She thought Rowan had figured out her secret.
First Rowan falls in love with AI, now he thinks it can run the store 😂
The ai name must be Alice 😂
Taking over the world, one tech store manager at a time. Soon it will be too late!!!
Here I was hoping that the staff would say "Ok, bye Rowan!" and then a jump cut to Rowan yelling at the computer for being bad at its job while the shelves aren't stocked, Ben is just walking in and out of the store grabbing things, and Hamish is standing at the counter waiting patiently for someone to ring him up.
This is where Ben casually walks in/out the store all day and steals everything
I completely expected Ellie to just start grabbing things off the shelves and walking out of the store to load her car.
Right on!!! 😅
I like it when Ellie is concerned about her colleagues. The power to outsmart management while giving no shits is hollow if it doesn't also save your fellow colleagues.
Well, it's not that she's concerned about her colleagues. It's that she'd have to do actual work if she doesn't have colleagues to do it for her.
"to who it may concern" 😳🤣 our future for sure...
Not really or as drastic as it may sound, with AI comes maintenance, upkeeping, cleaning (if AI robots), programing, technicians ect. It'll open up just as much job openings (if not more) than it would be "taking away our jobs", plus it's all for conveniency sake (as with everything in life through history), so it'd be a very much welcoming thing in the future/near future.

I thought that the checkmate move would have been asking it about Karen management.
Stock shelving is pretty much solved and there will be general pupae robots that can do it for $1.50 per hour starting next year.
We'll have to wait to see how durable they are but shelf sucking will probably be fully automated in 5 years.

I once worked for the micro manager from hell at a retail shop. I was a supervisor and they went off on me one day the moment I walked in the store. The closing manager the night before (someone not me as I was off) had forgotten to do something and apparently it was my fault. She screamed at me and told me I was fired, and I promptly turned around and went home. About an hour later I got an angry phone call from her demanded to know where i was. When I reminded her she had "fired me" an hour prior, she threatened to write me up and fire me for job abandonment... I never did go back.
I forgot how much I love "intense Britt"
"Dear to whom it may concern..." HAHA! Totally a Rowan written letter.
im so happy four you, vldl. watch your videos for years by now and its keep getting better!
AI could probably replace management better than replacing us meddlings. tactile hands vs pencil pushers
I've been consistently arguing for replacing upper management with a very simple computer program. Or a log on a hill kept back by flimsy sticks. Or a rock on a string. Hell, pick a random minimum wage employee and tell them to make those decisions for double their wage, and it would work just fine. Keep doubling until it surpasses half the CEO wage and then replace them with a new minimum wage employee. The chance to become a high paid CEO alone would draw droves of employees, so there's never going to be a worker shortage in this company.
I could create a spreadsheet that not only does their job, but it does it better. I can replace them with a single line of code. I'm tempted to write that in COW. Not that I know COW yet, but I'm sure I can figure out how to get it to generate a random number, that's still better than the average CEO. With some very basic sanity checks of course, including the evil overlord checklist point 12: "One of my advisors will be an average five-year-old child. Any flaws in my plan that he is able to spot will be corrected before implementation."
Waiting for Theo to come in and save the day by mind controlling the AI
The “To whom it may concern” is brilliantly Rowan at his best!

Manager, CEO etc. are probably the easiest job to replace by an AI.
Exactly.
Lol, no.
You mean lounging around scheming to get rid of people; easiest job in the world. AI could definitely do it better than CEOs.
@@anized6896 What do they do? They make decisions based data and/or a feeling and delegate what to do to workers.
The Computer is way better in analyzing data than any human ever could and then you make the algorithm come to conclusions based on what the situation is now and where decisions or not taking any decision might get the company.
