I have the Canucks in my top 5. I think Nashville will be top 10. Not worried about Demko at all. Get rid of him. When he heals I would trade Demko. For an excellent world class Defense man and go with Shilovs or other. Boston and Toronto will fall out of the top 10. Colorado is in my top 5
@@collinrothwell8532 I can’t see those as a good enough reasons to drop them that low. That no goalie helped them get to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. You might be right but nothing from last season to before this season warrants a drop like that. But we will see how they do to start the season.
@@kempnercanucks I still see the Oilers, Canucks and Leafs as the likeliest Canadian NHL teams to finish this regular season top-three in their respective divisions. That said, I also think of how three seasons ago, just months removed from having appeared in a Stanley Cup final, the last Canadian team to have made it that far, the Habs, drop off a cliff the season after that Stanley Cup appearance.
The Winnipeg Jets finished last regular season with the highest number of standings points among Canadian NHL teams but in the postseason threw defense under the bus. That the Kempner Canucks man claimed the Jets hadn't been in the top-10 in his power rankings didn't surprise me very much because last off-season they made very limited moves to improve their blueline even after 9 and 5 respective consecutive games in the postseason during which they had allowed at least four and five goals in each. Given the above I give the Jets' most-recent off-season 5.5 stars out of 10.
🤣 . Emotions running high in here.. i had pretty much the same list opinion except i switch boston an vancouver spots.. even without demko till january.. dont worry about joshua / garland.. they back at most few weeks...hope gar within next 2 games
The 15:50 mark of the power rankings video slightly precedes a claim by the Kempner Canucks RUclips man about not having been high on Blues' goalie Jordan Binnington. Binnington, during the last IIHF Adult Men's Worlds Top-Division tourney, allowed multiple ugly goals in so many games in which he had played, making me hope Hockey Canada would not again invite him to join the adult men's team, a team that after its last relevant quarterfinal lost two straight games and thus finished 4th.
Great rankings! Vancouver is top 10. But i think we could slide and be fighting for a wild card spot as it looks like it will be unlucky year with all the injuries. Flames will be better just because they are trying to rebuild and willl screw it up by winning too much. Preda are overated with the older guys they signed
@@kaiyoung5458 I’m not saying they will miss the playoffs. I’m saying right now they are ranked low but they can move up the rankings depending on how they play.

Silovs and Lankinan would be better than most pairs by themselves!
@@collinrothwell8532 I hope so but I’m not convinced Lankinen is great. So far in his career he’s been decent. I hope he plays well in Vancouver
Vancover in 8,vithout Demko,with Demko...nucs in 4
Hindsight is 20/20. So far I've been too high on Vancouver.
I dont hate Edmonton but no goalie ,poor defense. Maybe 6 to 8th .

Yes the rankings will change drastically at the end of this month. Colorado will drop like a rock if they don't start winning some games.
His power rankings are just lazy the Islanders in 6yrs have miss the playoffs once’s, but okay

Canucks definitely top 5 and yes we should trade Demko for a top 4 D + draft picks
