You from Boston? I’m from Toronto (insert leafs jokes) but I’m wondering about RA, he has the craziest Boston accent I’ve ever heard is that the norm? he almost sounds like Peter Griffin
PJ was proud and talking about his brother. I just googled Dean Stock. Very sad he passed away in 2016 at 39 years old from Lou Gehrigs disease. 3 kids 11, 9 and 7 years old. RIP
Very sad. Congress a few days ago pass an Act that will, when the President signs, provide $100 million annually to pay for research and expanding access to therapy for people with ALS, hopefully this is a sign of growing awareness.
@@arodx34x i think that was the intent of the show - to get to know guys - inside the room - Biz is the prototype - he played left speedbag in the NHL - was a healthy scratch more than he played but obviously was well loved among the teammates so they were kept around it is great to get to know these guys
Just wanna say thank you. I really enjoyed listening to Stocker. And I will admit. I was 100% part of the Ass Kickers Crew. I remember buying it from the guy standing by the Orr statue outside of North Station.
Never been really a close friend to the Stock family, but had M. Stock has a coach in local hockey schools and Dean and Pj were always first class gentlemen has kids to adults. Super thumbs up to you PJ for your career and super job on TV and the radio .
Ok- regarding the Zegras. Next to Lemieux faking the shot & allowing the puck go to Karyia in the Gold Medal game in 2002? This Zegras pass is one of the greatest plays I've ever seen in my life! The only reason I'm giving Lemieux the edge is because of the stage comparison of the game. A game against the worlds best vs a regular season game.
Still have my yellow PJ Stock Crew t-shirt bought outside of the Garden entering a game. Man you took on everyone bro and cleaned some much larger clocks. Closest thing I've ever seen since Stan Jonathan.
In reference to the ducks talk at the end of the episode, I 100% agree they need to go back to the old logo. But no way they should change their name. As a 90s kid the mighty ducks movies are my all time favorite , even though I’m a flyers fan I’ll forever have love for Anaheim because of those movies and I always root for the ducks.
DeBrincat has generated the most publicity and had the entire league on notice with his hot start. Everyone will be back to the winning culture soon enough.
53:12, 3:15:58 Grain of salt, but Torts has insight into the thought process some players may still possess, as Biz acknowledged. Regarding benefit of the doubt, there's still a first time for everything.
Tortz 1000% does it on purpose and everyone who bites on his takes are the true morons. The Media is not used to people saying things that are different so they jump on him like flies to shit the second he opens his mouth. Fucking legendary...
Hmm no, I think Torts truly feels this way. It's not a soundbite. I wish people would give the guy some respect as far as to why he thinks this way. I think he wants the game to stay "honest' in it's truest form with hard work, heart & battletested. He thinks this kind of move loses that part of the game. Which I don't think is the case, but I do see where he's coming from. This is something that could get Zegras into some trouble with a player, or team. There could be a player, or team that won't take kindly to being embarrassed in this fashion. So, I love the creation of this, but I'm not going to give Torts the gears, because I do see his point. I don't necessarily agree, but I do see what he's saying.
@@nitemare507 I agree with you he was not trying to be controversial in this case - he said - look it looks cool . I can tell you one thing for sure he is right if you did that against a team Chris Pronger was playing for - you would be on a liquid diet for the next 8 weeks and many others of that era
@@pjpredhomme7699 OMG! Pronger would've done something to every Duck he could reach & those he didn't get to? He had a long memory. I bet ya Zegras wouldn't try that play on Chara today either. I have no interest in them and it’s because the organization is boring. I would not go to a Panthers game for fun. On nights the canes aren’t playing I’m watching anybody else. I've always like PJ Stock, loved it when he was on Hockey Night in Canada and wish he still was. But, I have to admit watching this video I didn't think he looked very mentally well. He was kind of all over the place, distracted, and generally showing signs of mental burnout in my opinion. Compare to the episode with Zdeno Chara who just controlled the interview at his pace, seemed by comparison to be a guy who is in complete mental control.
