Its crazy to think that Sgt Johnson is one of the oldest characters in the universe. When he dies in Halo 3, he's about 90 years old. Being frozen for long periods of time/travel for war, really helps with not aging.

@@lostkin4910 Keep in mind, this is when the Arbiter has his mind clouded by the Prophets' Great Journey. He's in the beginning of his character arc. Later on he begins to respect Johnson and humanity, as the Prophets betray the Elites. He reminds me of the Arbiter from Halo Wars (or vice-versa). They're very prideful and honor bound. He doesn't like being talked down to, it irritates him.
7:20 >Sarge Wakes up >IMMEDIATELY HOT BOXES A CRYO POD I love how they made him like an 80s-90s movie badass. I don't think they could've written him better.

Shame he died though.
Avenger33789 I was shocked on how they placed some much detail on the prophet of mercy's death. The Infection form just ripped open his neck! In the original, the infection form was choking the prophet.
Miranda is really well animated in the awards cutscene. the fact you can quite easily tell what she's feeling is a nice improvement on the original cutscenes.
anyone else realize that Michelle Rodriguez was the voice of the lady saying "they blew right through, 50 cal rockets." it's also a recording from a movie she said that in I can't remember but it's a funny Easter Egg.

@@lostkin4910 Keep in mind, this is when the Arbiter has his mind clouded by the Prophets' Great Journey. He's in the beginning of his character arc. Later on he begins to respect Johnson and humanity, as the Prophets betray the Elites. He even calls the Chief his friend in the later games, as well as saying kind words to Chief about Johnson after his dealth at the end of Halo 3.
He reminds me of the Arbiter from Halo Wars (or vice-versa). They're very prideful and honor bound. He doesn't like being talked down to, it irritates him.

>Sarge Wakes up
>IMMEDIATELY HOT BOXES A CRYO POD
I love how they made him like an 80s-90s movie badass.
I don't think they could've written him better.
That's not a cryo pod dumbass .😂
The fun that chief and Johnson have together in scene is just legendary
Since the first game, I really enjoyed Johnson: Johnson, the man of the situation, Johnson, the exemplary soldier with the right level of brain to say "Are you out of you're god damn mind?!" to higher ranks, Johnson, the man with the right comment at the right time for any time. Shame he died though.
Considering he's a Marine being a soldier doesn't mean shit.
@@yoshijb9428 Can you elaborate the thought process?
Oh my god these remastered scenes are 100% better than the originals! Gives me shivers just watching them all :P
Avenger33789 I was shocked on how they placed some much detail on the prophet of mercy's death. The Infection form just ripped open his neck! In the original, the infection form was choking the prophet.
I completely agree !
Jacob A. St. Clair it didnt rip open his neck... -_-
Well if it didn't rip pen his neck then, could you explain what the flood infection form did?
have you viewed the movie alien? I twas choking him just like the face hugger do when they plant their eggs.
At 08:03 I think that Johnson knocked "Good luck!" and Chief responded "Thanks"😎
That is what we call bromance.
Miranda is really well animated in the awards cutscene. the fact you can quite easily tell what she's feeling is a nice improvement on the original cutscenes.
How could anyone possibly dislike this? This is literally our whole childhood in perfect movie form. I loved this video
wow this was all grains and blocks back in the day. Im really glad they remastered it
badfoody the old version was better, but remastered it looked good. they shouldnt have changed a thing other than graphics tho
badfoody and the remastered elites look dorky, not cool like halo 2 elites
urjnlegend huh
+urjnlegend The original Halo 2 Sangheili looked pretty goddamn stupid in my opinion.
anyone else realize that Michelle Rodriguez was the voice of the lady saying "they blew right through, 50 cal rockets." it's also a recording from a movie she said that in I can't remember but it's a funny Easter Egg.
Yeah they had a few famous actors in Halo 2
The Dark Lord Willy Wonka and that just adds to halo 2's greatness
Bit of a late reply but the guy with Michelle's character was voiced by David Cross too lol.
Traetuus s Well damn. That would explain why her voice sounded familiar!
I thought it was
For some of you who don't know, Sgt. Johnson is (was) a spartan.
He was a Spartan 1 and Chief was a Spartan 2
FalconGamer58 //FG58 yes, and it's also why Sgt. Johnson (the only one I know so far) who is immune to the floor because of the Spartan I program. It made him immune unintentionally.
+Bugsy Del Rosario everyone is immune to the floor, but Johnson is immune to the flood, but got killed by a doucherunner AI 343 Guilty Spark
FalconGamer58 //FG58 No. Even Master Chief is not immune to the flood.
+Bugsy Del Rosario but you said flooR
0:43 Cortana: you look nice
Master Chief: Thanks
Sergeant Major Johnson: Thank You
“To guide you back to the true path, I have brought this motivational device.” Is one of if not the best Johnson line ever fight me on that
This here is 60 tons of straight up DIVINE intervention!!! If God is love, then you can call me cupid
"Oh I know what the ladies like."
F O R A B R I C K H E F L E W P R E T T Y G O O D
You know Johnson could very well return, and their reason for him surviving could be "It's classified. Not the first time he exploded at the end of a game and survived.
4:00 "Woah." Exactly what I said when I first saw a Scarab. 0_0
"C'mon, grab a banshee and give me some cover. They're gonna know we're coming."
7:17 Sgt Johnson's face and expression... out of this world :D
Third halo book is a good read. You find out how chief and johnson got back.
OregonGreen from where exactly i forget ps sorry i know this comment is a year old
OregonGreen The third one was the sarge one? I dont remember the order. But I read the books, except for the protocol one.
Salvador Vega the boom is called halo: first strike
Their is a missing scene here. I remember him talking about a Rock, and how they had to share it...
only on a legendary play through
TwitchtheOvertaker Ah that explains a lot.
TwitchtheOvertaker actually the rock quote is on heroic
Darklarik Legendary is when he is equal or greater than God.
Shadow Walker actually its where he says "If God is love, you can call me cupid"
I wanna see a halo game about the marines where you can customize your character and skill set for that character
I've been wanting that since halo 2 lol
+joe markham That would be pretty cool. Almost all the games put you in the shoes of the spartans, which does get kind of old pretty quick.
Play BO3
Kyle Mendoza Even though that's not Halo and the soldiers aren't truly yours because they all have their own specialties and backgrounds.
no its would just become cod and we all know how bad cod is
"Folks need heroes Chief"
"Then shoe em' every Spartan that is 'MIA' "
8:02 I love the subtle exchange of “let’s go fuck em up” between Johnson and Chief.
Best gaming CGI I've seen years.
Playing the original gave me some awesome raised hair on my arm, and re-watching this remastered is even more amazing. Good job guys, tugging at the heart strings.
Can they please just do this as an actual full length movie. I'd personally like to see a movie on noble team or the ODSTs.
9:38 "How you doin'?" what a legend! rip johnson
Crotana: “you look nice!”
Johnson and Chief: “Thanks” *immediately glares at eachother*
Yes! That immediate head turn from the both is hilarious.
5:20 Ahahahaha best line ive heard xD
Alec A
danglao
Alec Adanglao
They do love cannons
The big ones
Oh I know what the ladies like (bow chicka bow wow)
I love that line
Ohhhhh, I found the missing piece! We need comic relief in halo 5. We're not robot soldiers. We need to have some laughs once in a while.
Man this remake looks beautiful
The look that Chief and Johnson give each other when they both reply to Cortana’s compliment kills me.
I never knew way Sgt. Johnson was so loved as a character, until I saw this. I played Halo 2 a bunch of times but I guess I was to young to notice or care about story and the character development. Can't wait to play the whole saga again in PC!
6:19, look at that low angle shot, such a perfect time to see the Drop Pods in the distance... missed opportunities :(
Owen Gee You meant the ODST connection with Buck and his squad ? In New Mombasa ?
@@lonewolfgamingplus379 yes
YO IS THAT MY BOY RON PERLMAN
And Johnson's death was such a shame. He deserved better. The character was so amazing.
2:50 Hey. That's pretty good.
This is probably my favorite remake, they did an amazing job with the game, blur knocked it out of the park with the cutscenes, really brought the glory days of halo back
8:03 When Johnson and Chief hit affirm eachothers drop pod. This is a halo game
I never played halo but those cutscenes are really well done
Silence Please play halo 1, 2, 3 and reach, and you will be satisfied with life.
Silence Please play the rst for the story, but 123 and reach are the most complete by far
urjnlegend sorry,poor master race here
does anyone else find it weird that Johnson automatically knew how to drive a Scarab
all UNSC (except ODST pilots) are put in simulations so they can practice with covenant weapons and vehicles that's how he knows.
oh okay
Dude, it's sergeant Johnson...
And that as well.
dude its Johnson you shouldn't be surprised if he figured out how to have a kid with a male elite let alone how to drive a scarab
halo 2 johnson was the best, by far. halo 2 was the best, halo reach follows. this is true
0:45 That face- Johnson's was either trying to say "I'm gonna fuck you up" or "He's gonna fuck me up."
Checks his cigar...
"Yeah I'm good"
Classic
When Miranda Keyes tries to hold back tears, shivers down in spine
Sgt Johnson, the man the myth the legend.
A spartan 1 and all-round badass!
If 343 plans on remastering halo 3 and ODST their gonna have one helluva time recreating that jump scene.
I just had a Rand Al'Thor experience where I'm learning laughter and tears again. Really taking Johnson's "smile, Chief" to heart.
What subtle yet loud is Lord Admiral Hood's order to the Master Chief.
To defend the fookin space station.
