I'm 15 and have been doing professional sound since I was 13 never had enough money to get equipment of my own but had an idea to start a DJ Business with a full blown production this would definitely help me get started with my journey.
Front firing subs are made for indoors, folded horn subs are made for outdoor. It all depends on application. Obviously most DJs use what they have for both, including myself.
Good review! I’ve been following your reviews for quite some time now and you always give honest and objective feedback. This setup gets the job done outside but for best performance would be inside. I do small gigs and have a similar setup and would add this one for a larger crowd.
Thanks for the review! I would use this system in a high school percussion ensemble that I run. Would be a great upgrade to our old sound system!

I would love to use this system. Especially for smaller venues. I usually use JBL speakers. These would come in handy. Hopefully indoors the subwoofers would perform better. I want these. I'm subscribed to all your formats.
If the gig is paying enough and I have a helper. An outdoor gig like that for me with two tops would have four subs. Matter of fact, when I went to active speakers I had a nice amp that nobody wanted to give me good money for. So I kept it, I eventually got two 18 inch passive subs really cheap from a DJ. I keep that setup for when I need bigger bass for outdoors bringing my subwoofer total to four!

Great review. Would love to win this. What blows me away is the weight, even the active sub is only about 50lbs. It is so crazy how they have manged to get this level of sound out of an injection molded speaker. Also the class d amps, I am guessing you were running all 4 speakers on a single 15 amp breaker with no issue?

In this video you said the system doesn’t thump. But having subs would still help me a ton. Especially rounding out my sound.
They will get used at the proper events where these would be a match. perhaps this will help with my solo-op growth. Maybe the warm clean sound would be great for latin band sound. regardless of the contest, following on ALL platforms to support.

Who buys any speaker withiut knowing true rms wattage specs. I was interested but after speaking with mackie and being told that theu dont offer rms specs, I went with RCF. You get what you pay for.
Bro, if you’re buying RCF you shouldn’t even be looking at Mackie.
@@ClevelandTerry True, but I would've loved to have saved some money and not have to buy more than what was needed. But the point is that any company that doesn't provide complete specs these days is being trashed in RUclips videos. People are tired of this mess. That's why most decent audio companies now list RMS specs & sometimes that information is being displayed first.

i understand the rules, i'm starting expand my DJing into education and the controller and full system would be a great teaching tool and something to loan out to new DJs to get them started. you tiktok link is broken but i still found you.
question. I linked both speakers. I have one connecting to my mixer using xlr. I only hear the music out of the hard wired one, how do i get the other speaker to get audio?

Most school dances are in by multi purpose rooms. I think they may be too small

My current system is due for an upgrade. I’ve done a couple parties now where I feel like I’m reaching the limits of my current speakers.

Don't buy, I had the same subwoofers but 18 inches, and I've always liked Mackie but this new sub line is very bad, they don't have power and saturate easily, it's as if I connected my home sub, I don't recommend it, I had than to sell them at a low price and buy the DRM line, don’t buy
