  • A cover of This Town Needs Guns' "Lemur" off of the album "Animals". I'm recording with a Kemper Profiler Rack on a clean Fender Hot Rod patch, middle pickup on the telecaster. :) Audio of the song is panned slightly left, audio of my guitar is panned slightly right. Enjoy!

1 is a standard one while the other is a banjo capo only covering the top 4 strings.

First tune your guitar to standard then place a full capo over the third fret then place the banjo or partial capo whatever you want to call it over the fifth fret covering D G B E then tune to D# G# F C F G# ( from low to high ) never attempt to tune your G string to C as that is five semitones higher. It will most certainly snap and cause unnecessary pressure on the knock of guitar. The tabs for lemur and baboon are on songster. Com they are both in the same tuning. Have fun learning! I hope I helped someone out.

The usual tuning without the capos is CFCGCD#

I've never learned this style of guitar, and looking at tabs and covers, I get overwhelmed. Does anyone know of some music or songs I could learn that would be a more intermediate style of these kinds of techniques that could help me progress up to this point of playing?

The first math rock song I learned was "Never Meant" by American Football, Some of their songs are a bit slower and easier to learn than TTNG's, but an easy TTNG song to learn and start out with is "Crocodile" which just so happens to be in the same tuning as "Never Meant": "FACGCE"
