*i know she was there for one year but athing mu was the best ncaa runner, she won indoors and outdoors, didnt lose a race that year and.... she went from a freshman in college and went to the Olympics a won gold for the first time in decades!*

@@HEAVYCHEVY409 2nd place in the 400m behind Kaelin Roberts of USC. She didn't run the 800m at NCAA indoor championships She ran it at SEC championships and broke the NCAA record. But indoor and Outdoor NCAAs she ran the 400 and 4x400
Abby Steiner had the fastest split in the 4x100 in the 2022 World Championships. She's also a strong 100M runner. She has won several 100M races.

She does have a PB of 10.9, she’s legit. I think she’s an absolute threat in the 200 for sure

Why did we need to judge who is the greatest anything. My worthless personal opinion is anyone who would compete in public is a hero. In track and field if you have 10 competitors the possibility of all 10 finishing at the same time is highly unlikely so someone has to be number 10.
If we're counting the 400m hurdles ... as a sprint, then - shut up, it's Sydney McLaughlin... period.
Abbie Steiner is a fantastic runner. RUclips track sites had a whole lot of Abbie fans, people you can tell from comments were not 'track fans' traditionally. She has a weird running style, her arm motion is weird. No crime as long as you run fast. Michael Johnson ran with his back straight. Not ideal. That said, Abbie became big because a lot of white people saw a white woman among the top sprinters which doesn't happen. Lets call it what it is. No crime in that. Blacks started watching golf because of Tiger Woods. The difference was Tiger was the best no need to over hype him, but white fans of Abbie was over hyping her beyond her already great running. Similar with Matthew Boling. You ask any Abbie fan why they love her "She's so great", 'She's a competitor" "She's got a great attitude", than can be applied to almost all top sprinters especially a couple of the Jamaican sprinters. What made ShaCarri different is she had emotional issues. The rest were all very nice, competitive women.
What do you mean Allyson Felix's times wouldn't hold up today? Her 200m pr is 21.69 🤷🏿♂🤷🏿♂
Thank you for the comment. I really appreciate it. The times she ran in what would have been her college years, are slower than what women in college are running today in the 100, 200, and 400. If she only ran those times today, she likely would struggle to win even 1 NCAA championship indoors or outdoors.
However, I am confident an athlete like her would have found a way to do it against today's competition.
@SCATrackandField while your right, I think if she was in the time frame of these young ladies her times would be better. New technology and training, puts these ladies at an advantage over women from 10 to 20 years ago
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 that’s exactly what they said. So we’re all now on the same page and agree that her times wouldn’t hold up as recording compared to today’s recordings. However, hypothetically if Allyson was a competitor of today, it’s safe to assume her athleticism combined with new technology her time recording would reflect her excellence. Great analysis gang I agree. What about Cambrea Sturgess, not sure if I spelled her name correctly.

She's at least one of my favorite picks to be in the top 3 or 4 this season in both races (🐎Jillian🐎) as for "Dear Abby", she doesn't stand a ghost of a chance for me, "Abby" has horrible mechanics especially with her arms twisting across her body as she tries to hit her flight🛫speed, unfortunately its going to cost her big time in her sprinting against the top of the line 👉"Fillies🐎" it's a shame, but it is what it is😢!! Amen 🙏!!!
