    Lyles is a generational talent, but Bolt is a once in a century talent, or even once in a millennium talent. I don’t think we’ll see anyone win 100m/200m/4x100m gold three Olympics in a row ever again in our lifetime. He’s just such an extreme outlier

    I understand trying to promote the sport & the upcoming Netflix 'Sprint' show, but Noah won't run a faster 4x4 split this yr than 16yr old Quincy Wilson :) Both Gabby & Abby who want to run on both 4x1 & 4x4 Teams in Paris have already jumped into both open 400m & 4x4 races this season to make their case, Noah is more than welcome to do the same, could've backed himself & did what Gabby did in running both relays @World Relays! Norman, Benjamin, Robinson, Norwood, Deadmon, Hall, a bunch of college kids & the baby Quincy Wilson will run faster than him in both, which optically seems like why he doesn't want to jump into one or both of those outdoor events and instead rely on a political pick! At least Kerley since moving down to the short sprints has run the open 400m in each of the last 3yrs running 44.60, 44.47 & 44.65.

      Technically he could get a gold by running a round rather than the final. He's not top 4 or maybe even top 8. But neither is Boling, and he got a gold in the mixed relay. All Noah has to do is run a heat. It's pretty safe to do so because he'll likely run 45 low, which would easily qualify for a final. It's the cheap way out, but it would help him check the box without affecting the A team's chance for gold.

    I’m a big fan of Noah Lyles and I do believe that he has the ability to win those four gold medals at the Olympics. It won’t be easy but it’s within his reach. I think that it’s great he has set high goals for himself and is confident and bold enough to speak on them. It takes faith in GOD which I believe he has and GOD can definitely help him achieve those goals. Also, I feel that Noah is bringing attention to track and field which is needed. Those athletes work hard and deserve the recognition that athletes in other sports get.
    If Noah gets the opportunity to run on the men’s 4x4 relay I don’t feel he would be taking a spot from another athlete. Those spots are earned and not given, so if he gets one it’s because he earned it. He doesn’t just have to stay confined to running the 100m, 200m and 4x1 races. If he has the talent and skill set then it’s nothing wrong with him running that race and people shouldn’t grumble about him taking someone else’s spot. Plus, the American men that normally run that race haven’t been running times that’s worth bragging about.
    Needless to say I’ll be rooting for Noah all the way and will be praying that GOD will make all of his goals a reality.

    Usain Bolt wasn't a generational talent, he was a multi-generational talent. I like Noah but he's not close to Bolt's WRs even in the 200m. If he wants to run the 4X400 I think he should earn it in the open 4 at least at trials, make the team (top 3) then give his spot to someone else. Forget the disrespect to the actual 400 guys, there's other 200m and 100m guys that might be faster in a 400m (KungFu Kenny, Fred Kerley, Grant Holloway,). Meanwhile Erriyon Knighton just keeps quiet, makes teams, and progresses. If you had to bet on who could beat Bolt's times, his career path makes most sense at this point. I got Noah winning the 200m, and 4x100 gold, I think he medals in the 100m, I got Christian Coleman taking 100m gold if he's healthy and sharp.

Same fir most of us re Sha'Carri, just think she is being promoted higher than her achievements. Even so, aint mad at U or her. She is in a great spot too seeing as our Jamaican women seem behind on their preparations. Only be aware that Coach Stephen Francis owns the Olympic 100m so write him off st your peril. Back to Noah. Similar to Gabby T, he is thinking 4, he likely will have the same setback she did and thats qualifying to represent im the 4x4 but we will see. As far as world records go, please!!! Get to Yohan Blakes times first before U even think of any WR. Something I identified from Usain Bolts earliest days and I havent heard anyone acknowledge is that he is a phenom, plain and simple. The 200 appears most achievable but until U get there please stop dreaming. No one except Blake has even come in the 20s much more think of going below. The 100 is out of reach and so is the relay. Competition made that time happen. That level of competition does not presently exist. Noah MAY win 3 Paris Golds, he may even win 4, God bless him and I will cheer for him too if he has that chance but lets stop dreaming about records. Its not there.

Not only did they win 4 Golds but 3 of the 4 were in individual events. Why do they keep saying he;s the fastest man in the world when oblique seville ran 9.82 in the 100m which is faster than any time noah has run in the 100m. and everyone knows the 100m is the event for the true "fastest" man, not the 200m.

    I see a tired noah i dont expect him to win any individual golds, the only one he has a chance in is the 200m.
    I need to say this though as an outdoor athlete the sixty is good to see where your first 60 technical running is and if you have any flaws for your coach to work on. Indoors 60m competition is not for outdoor athletes, it make you peak early, need to rest to retrain for outdoors and peak again. Bolt didnt do it shelly, elaine shericka, yohan, merlene ottey and veronica at the senior level, only for there coaches to see where they are with their technique.

    @peterpereira3653 13 дней назад

    As good as Noah Lyles is and he's very good sprinter clearly. He has only ever seemed capable of maybe challenging the 200m world record. And even more then he didn't post the second fastest time, behind the Usain Bolt world record time. Noah Lyles needs to get back to that level again before I believe he could actually break that Usain Bolt 200m world record. And as he himself has found it's a lot easier saying, he can beat it than actual doing so. If Noah can get back into the 19.3s again this season, then perhaps he could improve further enough to break the 200m world record.

      There is a difference between Bolt celebration and wannabe sensation Noah. Bolt did his thing with a charisma to attract the world's love and literally everyone cheered for him. Noah Lyles doesn't have that kind of a charisma and seems to have a sense of arrogance even before a race. The world will not be cheering for him and only die hard track fans in the USA will support him. He will be forgotten about in the blink of an eye until the subject of track and field comes up.

    Noah Lyles is only a generational talent in the 200m. Will he ever run 19.3 ever again? I doubt it will he ever run under 9.8? I doubt that because his start is not superior enough in my opinion and he's 26 and has worked on his start. Some guys are just blessed with good reaction time and fast twitch and powerful starters like Christian Coleman. Someone will have to challenge him to get past 19.19. His first100m is just not a 9.58 on the turn to gey him past Bolt.

    • @wesleyowens4089
      @wesleyowens4089 13 дней назад +1

      Bolt only ran 9.99 on the turn to set his record. Then a 9.20 in the second. Lyles is capable of running the second 100 fast enough as he's already done it before but he ran a 10.15 in the first 100. Realistically he needs to run a 10.05 and then still run even faster than before in the second with a 9.13 which is .03 faster than he ran when he got the 19.31. but I think he can do it on a day with perfect conditions, like a 2.0 tailwind, if he executes perfectly.

    • @pound4pound380
      @pound4pound380 13 дней назад +1

      @@wesleyowens4089 He's doing it. Last year he repressed to 19.5. Has came close to 19.31 in 2 years. I think maxed out in 200m unless he's planning on juicing. That 19.31 had alot to do with Arrington Knighton dropping a 19.49 as a teenager that year and it gave Noah Lyles motivation. He said this in the interview. He doesn't have what it takes for that type of world record. Yohan Blake was a special 100m runner and Bolt pushed him in practice to get that 19.26 and 9.69. Trust me he's not running no 19.18 or less and lower than 9.58 may never happen. People like Flo Jo and Bolt do things that just is extremely difficult to beat. That south African guy who broke Michael Johnson record an ran 43.09 will bever be broken because you are pushing in the relm of someone running around the track in 42 seconds.
