Thanks for posting this. I remember it like it was yesterday. Some of the best memories of my Childhood before I moved to Ireland. Stuff like this is great to look back at
Thanks so much for posting this! I remember staying when it got dark and most guests have left. The JRS had the train backwards and my brothers and I would take a ride, get off and literally run down the exit hill and back up and jump right back on again. I miss this park so much and we had season passes from ‘93 to ‘98! The Shockwave was my first loop coaster!
I spent many a summer day as a kid at Six Flags. We would always leave the park and go have lunch at Cheddars across the street. I worked there in high school (1990-1993). Working in the Texas heat on some of those rides that didn’t have shade was brutal. I was working the parachute ride and it was so hot that several people passed out throughout the day while standing in line! Sadly it’s pretty run down these days.
checking in the week after spring break march 23, 2021. this was a welcome blast to the past. they turned the trains around on roy like the have freeze at the moment. flip the trains on shockwave!
I’m surprised the water ride wasn’t closed down after the raft overturned and a lady drowned. Can’t remember if it was before 1994 though.. Another person was killed on the same ride but at a different six flags recently.
I don’t know the track name, but it was from a royalty free music licensing company called fresh music library. Looks like they are out of business but I see some references to their music if you Google. You should go visit the park and experience it!
This is so 90s, I love it!
dang its so different compared to now. seems like it was more about shows than roller coasters
Great job, feels like I'm watching an episode of The Goldberg's. The park didn't change much between the mid 80s and mid 90s.

I’m glad it sparked some wonderful memories for you! I can remember racing through the exit to turn around and do it again as well.
You should see it these days.
@@darthvader5532 I would love to eventually. I live a couple hours away.
@@jessicablount7092 that's a good life goal. If you get to do that, you'll be shocked at how much the park has evolved. It's unrecognizable.
What was the music in the intro?

0:04-0:31 - What's the name of that music?
Also, I've never been to Six Flags Over Texas, but I have seen countless ads for the park in my youth!
