There were probably people who encouraged him to keep playing qb. He wasn't good in college. He had a coach that was able to tailor a scheme for him that really hid his flaws. Don't get me wrong, Tebow is quite intelligent. He just didn't have the tangibles to be an NFL qb.
Missed his chance on a SB ring with that non- move .
Rome called this happening the day Urban Cryer pushed to get him. He straight up called this.
So did everybody else with a brain. The idea that a 33 year old guy who has been out of football for almost 10 years was going to learn a new position in a few weeks and beat out guys who have been playing it since college was delusional.
Glory days for both of them. Meyer will be next.

He'll be gone after a year and a half..maybe two at most. It will of course be "health related" as good ol' Urb will realize this aint college its the BIG BOY league and he doesnt run it. And Trevor is going to be a bust as well.
@Dr.Beyonder He was offered the job just before Jax contacted him last year SO that means if he quits the Jags and Sark doesnt win at least 10 games and a Big 12 Championship in BOTH the next two years Urb would be the #1 candidate. Good thinking!

He actually lasted less than a year. In the long run, it was the wrong place at the wrong time for the wrong coach.

The sad part is that a young man that has worked all of his life was supposed to get that chance. Someone who had an actual shot at making the team. That is the sad part.
Tim was blackballed before he suited up for the first time for Denver. The NFL did not want him in their racial Good Old Boys Club. It started with John Elway. Now, Tim will never be the butt of everyone's jokes,ridiculed by baffoons that never played in down in football, nor listen to the bunch of goofballs on ESPN talk crap abut him. If he was any other person than Tebow, He would have gotten a better outcome. Nobody likes his outspoken Christian lifestyle. He replaced non effective Kyle Orton and did the unthinkable. He took the 1-4 Broncos to the second round playoffs. John Elway reported that Tim would be back the next season. That was a huge lie. He had gone out and gotten Peyton Manning while Tebow was saving Elway's team. He traded Tim. The future for Tim was bleak at best. Every team that he was bounced to never gave him a chance but yet blamed him for their miserable seasons. Tebow dreamed on playing for the NFL all his life. He had an outstanding college career at Florida and won the Hesiman Trophy. His rookie season just happen to be better than his first boss John Elway's (in John's book).Jacksonville just used Tim to sell Jerseys and season tickets. Tebow is better off without the NFL. They honor Anthem keelers, wife beaters,murders, and all kinds of criminals.

In fact, I am actually the Western District Evangelist and I am responsible to assist the Pastors in the congregation that I attend with the Spiritual work in six states. Actually sir, we love the upright and clean life style. This has nothing to do with that. This is about playing football. Just think about it, the next “Tim Tebow”, I’m talking about another righteous young man could have been the one that didn’t get the shot that he earned and now, he may possibly never get it. That is what makes this sad. As far as football goes, yes I played, football and basketball for many years. And as far as football goes, this was ridiculous. He never played that position in his life, he is too small and too slow for that position. It takes you g men who have played that position all of their high school and college careers about two to three years to learn it at the NFL level, so no, this was not going to happen and every serious football fan knew it. It literally was a sensational news stunt that cost another young man his earned and deserved shot. Urban Meyer is from my home state. Watched him coach for years. But he has to wake up and realize that he is not in Ohio anymore and he is now in the NFL.
I feel bad for Trevor Lawrence. Has a stupid head coach that’s going to get him killed.

Giving Tim Tebow one more shot at the NFL by Urban Meyer was Phe-nomenal, sen-sational, a-rugula. I applaud him for giving the guy a second chance.
