Team No Smart Phone, raise your hands o/ But yes, I just learned last week how much can help to record yourself, I get to notice a few big mistakes even without others commenting on it, but also a lot more details when y'all did comment on a few vids I posted on twitter... If we use a good DAW that can play the click while recording the audio we can combine two of your tips, the metronome and the recording, it helped me a lot to see where I was missing my clave hits (the one of the second bar I was always missing on 2-3 rumba), and after recording and adjusting, I can now hit it perfectly, after a lot of practice. Great video, this one has a lot of wisdom in it, thank you, and congrats on reaching 33k!
Honestly i would love for you do redo that video. With your production quality it would be awesome! And yes PRACTICE everyday no matter how long! Even a minute does the trick.

I am starting to play congas but i only have access to a Tumba, it's tougher to get slaps out but once i jump on a Quinto it makes me POP !!
