    I like the idea of leaving the side unsewn, you can put you silverware in that pocket. Love this. Will be making some this weekend for a Christmas gift to go with the table runner

    Great project for a beginner like me, but also can become very functional if made to have those folds on the sides and sewn on the bottom part only. They form pockets, on the right side for silverware and on the left side for a nice big paper napkin or still silverware if more pieces are required.

    Great tutorial. Fast, easy and beautiful ... not to mention it can be made into a matching set. (Table topper and Place-mats.)

    You can leave those little triangles unstitched, add a button to fasten the points and slip your cutlery on the one side and a napkin on the other side. Thank you for this awesome tutorial.

    I love this! I want to make Christmas placemats for my grandson and his cousin (both 2 years old) and I've been looking at different ideas. I love this because I can make them out of character loth and add a fun button on each end. Thanks! Blessings!!!!! 💜

      Thanks Dorice! A lot of these are oldies but goodies... but still fun to do/teach/and learn. I'd never done a 10 minute table runner before, but a friend gave me a kit for it, and I had to try.... I Loved it! I'm not great in front of a camera, but I've had too many friends ask me to show them how to make different things... just seemed easier to do videos.

    Before you turn those points you should press that short seam open, it would lay flatter.
