This little scrap-buster pouch is the result of a challenge from a friend. She said she can't cut straight and she's terrified of setting in zippers. She challenged me to come up with a project she can do. Here it is.
Accordion Fold / Foldy-Fold Card
Просмотров 3,9 тыс.8 лет назад
Several years ago on a road trip we found an awesome city map that folded something like this. I was fascinated with it. When we got home I took it apart to make one of my own.... but I ended up with a pile of scrap map parts :-( Since then I've seen a few how to videos, and had try it. When I started out to reorganize my craft room I needed more storage space, but didn't have any more room.... except for the back of the door. I wanted something that had the size pockets I needed, so decided to sew up this Door Hanging Organizer. Not a quick project, but sews up really nice when it's done!

Felt Easter Basket and Fabric covered Eggs
Went to your FB page where I saw that your husband Steve said you are now "crafting in heaven" after losing your battle to cancer. I just want to thank you for teaching me how to make bowl cozies with your calm, patient way of teaching. They have helped me make a little money when I really needed it. So thank you and may you rest in peace. 🙏❤ P.S. I have bookmarked your video and return for a refresher whenever I need to make more.
Very nice idea 😊❤
8 years after I’m watching this video again, I made one for my daughter when she was now born in 2016 , I haven’t seen any video to match this one ❤

What size is the pockets for large. I know you said 5 1/2 but is it also 7 inch or do you increase that as well? Also great video.
What are the dimensions for the larger finger pot mitts? Thanks!
51/2 x 41/2. Same with pocket. 5 1/2. She said this at end of video. I had to catch it to. Jan
Thank you ! Excellent tutorial I appreciate the tips !
Excellent tutorial!
I like your explanations. You don't waste time with drivel. Thanks.
What size is the hexagon?
Also great with bowl of cold ice cream?😋
I can't thank you enough for this amazing video. I found this yesterday and so far, I've made all of them, except for the hexagon coasters. I found a template and printed it out and can't wait to get started on that one.
Thank you! I’m getting ready to cover my 2024 calendar book! You’ve made it easy. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄

Great tutorial, will be making some for Xmas gifts.
❤
Love these coasters. Are these insulated enough they don't need any batting?
Do you not use any form of wadding with your coasters..? Like the ideas however thank you for sharing,
Think you very much, please write the numbers, the size
🤗💖🏆How clever you are , these coaters are so nice! very impressive!
Her granddaughter here. Thank you for being sweet to her. Sorry she can't make more videos, she passed away having cancer
Widths Third of yard - 12" Half yard - 18" Both length are width of fabrics
It looks like you're using just a straight stitch, not a zigzag. Is that right?
Thank you for instructing us on making an interesting variety of coasters. You make it look so easy. God bless. 😊❤❤
This was a great video! Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to trying this today.

Love this ❣️ Thank you for sharing this ❤️
Sure miss you.
I made a some cozy bowls a few years ago using your video. I searched for YOUR tutorial to make some more again. I love your voice, your instructions, and the process. I was afraid the video had been removed or that I was not going to be able to find you. Thank you! You are the best!!!
Luv this..but if l didnt line up pieces evenly l would have a mess after sewing together..so duh..l better line them up..🇨🇦
Very nice. How do you add a pen loop.
Very interesting, thanks 👍 The hexagon is very beautiful. I would prefer mine to end fully closed, probably would have to sew the top.
I can see all of these made larger for potholders (heat resistant batting in the middle. So, two base fabrics, one heat resistant batting, then the folded pieces. A bit thicker but I see possibilities!
Love 💕 it easy I glad I found you
I love the carefree aspect shown here and the fact that ideas were shared for different designs. Thank you
Brilliant idea! Never seen this art of folding before... thanks so much
