Good looking paint job. I've had several cars repainted in my lifetime and to me it made each car look new. Always proud of the new paint.
Looks nice bro. Thank you fot the information
That turned out fantastic. I'm not even a Fox Body fan and I like it! Great Job!
Thank you Ed! I really appreciate it. I was super happy with the results for how cheap it cost me to spray it.
Hit it with a cut and buff man, ive done a few projects with rustoleum and it always amazed me how good it turns out
How long did you let it dry before you cut & buffed it?
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms I'd say at least 2days to make sure it's fully hardened
Definitely a few days in the sun, car is looking awesome btw. How much are you thinking about selling it for?
@@brandonhobock7086 I’m not sure, I see Notch’s going for like 5-20k right now. The market is crazy.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms I ran a paint program for the prison, we'd harden them and hold them for a few days and then cut 'n buff.
Those guys turned out some pretty vehicles with some cheap paint.
That looks great! I am about to Rustoleum my 88 GT.
Good job ❤
Looks awsome
Probably going paint my 03 ram 3500 and my 85 Scottsdale c20 like this
both bad ass cars, don’t got anyone in my life who builds cars, everyone just talks down on me with my truck, im trying to spray it all semi gloss black temporarily till next year
RUclips will teach you everything you need to know. Don’t be afraid to spray it yourself & surround yourself with more positive people.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms i appreciate it, just finishing up body work on a sunroof i installed in my single cab, then a bit of body work and i’ll be able to spray
Looks good nice job
Thank you
Man! DUDE! Great job 👍! It looks Beautiful 💘! You should put a coat of Clear so it would last longer. I heard this 1 guy used Rustoleum paint gloss black with primer underneath and his lasted for 2 year. He gave an update on his comments but no video. If he would have put a gloss then wax compound and buffed it out I imagine that paint job would have been flawless.
I appreciate the compliments! My dad actually had a Jeep Wrangler that was painted with Rust-Oleum that he kept waxed and he had the jeep for about 5 years and the paint never faded or chalked up.
I put a harder in my mix that boosts the clear & longevity of the paint so I’m hoping it should last.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms man in wish I could have seen that in the video. Great car 👍
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms the hardener does a good job of filling and giving a nice appearance. Nice job on the shoot for just getting a gun.
I have a recommendation, there's a good painter out of Australia called "The Gun Man" and he has some older vids with some really cool tips. I learned how to eliminate a run without repainting or even a trace that there was a run.
@@jmearley4872 I appreciate the info I’ll go check out his videos l, I’m always trying to improve.
Hey mam why didn't you fix the dent on the roof sail on passenger side would have been great still a good job bud
Glad you kept it white. I had a 81 with the 4 banger, talk about slow.
Good job on paint.
Thank you!
Odd question that shade structure at your relatives house what’s the height and W x L on it and possible brand / manufacturer? That’s what I’ve been looking for!
10ft height 30w x 40L not sure about brand
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms awesome thanks man! If you ever do find a brand please let me know lol 😂.
Question I’m gonna use the same paint and air gun to paint my horse trailer. I’ve never used a hardner or even an air gun. Do you need to add stuff to the paint to spray it? Do I need to filter the paint ? Or can I just stir it up and start spraying.
do you think rust oleum enamel paint needs clearcoat? I've seen people say that enamel paint lasts 5-10 years and doesn't need clearcoat and I wanted to do exactly what you did in this video with my shitbox 02 accord, nice to see that people have (recently) uploaded a video doing exactly what i want to replicate lol
My wifes 83 glx convertable with a 3.8 v6 from the factory. But a 79 with a v6 would be rare bc my son's 81 has the strait 6.
I love how easy the straight 6s are to work on.
Rust-Oleum oil based paint gloss white paint is a little bit better too
How close are you to Port Richey? I need to put you to work!!
Haha I’m about 3 1/2 hours from you. Port Richey is a nice place, we vacation down there sometimes.
Your awesome
Haha thanks man!
What was the mix ratio and the name of hardener?
What’s going on my Florida bro, did you thin out the enamel?
I did thin it out, sprays better.
@@FloridaCrackerKustoms what ratio did you use? And I know the instructions say to recoat enamel 24 hours. Did you lay one coat?
How long do you let dry between coats the oil based one says wait 24 hours
What about the big dent by back window? White is best for shit work
Appreciate the positivity buddy. It’s 50$ paint job not a 5k paint job. I’m not worried about a little dent. The car isn’t a show car it’s just a toy.
37k actual miles “sure Jan” 😂😂😂
