- Putting out some of my greatest hits, this is the superstrat I built about two years ago. We were all set to use a schaller roller and that was a mess. we ended up converting this to a hardtail at the end.

That was a fantastic "sum up" of all the steps of a build. I'm doing my first build right now and that really helped me unclutter my mind
Very nice job and fascinating to see.
Love the green body colour.
Thanks for posting.
Congratulations on the milestone. Always a pleasure to watch you channel keep up the good work
Very enjoyable and a great build, thanks. 😎 👍

Love it. The finish looks reminiscent to the Adrian Smith signature Jackson.

Ha, I knew it! Justin Johnson and Derek. Two professionals. Interesting on how you did that forearm cut.
?
Sick dude! Jimi would of said ‘groovy man’🤘🤘
Nice work beautiful guitar, I'm not particularly a fan of the headstock design but again nice build
I ve seen lots of luthier using 1 pcs binding only with contour on arm .
Saund its FIRE!!!!!
Hi man! this is art! Anyway, where did you find that tool to cut the bindings by hand?
I thought you would bend the top wood over the arm cut-out! This is an outrage! The pickguard covers-up enough figuring and then you cut off some extra!
Did you see how did the binding though? That’s very unique
@@bigdguitars Yes. That binding is great. Your guitars are awesome no matter what. I like how you hand carved that part.
what radius is that router bit you used for the neck carve routing?? interesting idea!
Have you done a vid on that fret slotting jig? Also would you do a custom super-strat if someone ordered one? E.g. 24 frets, floyd etc.
What was the problem with that Schaller trem? I remember you tried it on some other built as well but didn't work on that either. I have the same on my self built strat and haven't got any issues.
The pick guard was too thick. Action was goofy.
Wow, I’m not a strat guy but dam that’s nice. Did you ever reach you 50,000 subscribers? Just how many hours did it take to build the Strat??
Just hit it.
Why not bend the top?
And why not no pickguard with backrout?
owner want that color scheme
Did you plug the back? If so how did it turn out?
Nope left it!
Hi, what is the size of the roundover router bit, you used to shape the neck? Thanks, cheers from Argentina
1 inch!
Thanks
My perfect Strat would be a hardtail bridge, 24 1/2" scale neck, and angled headstock. Seafoam green with chrome hardware and a pearloid pickguard!
sounds awesome
How would a person go about having you build up something like this for them?
Derek@bigdguitars.com
I need motion sickness pills after watching...lol
What happened to original bridge?
We couldn’t the action right.
Looks like my first strat!!! 😢
Sounds very "growly". Me likey.
Good video but less speed please 🥴
Those low tunings sound crappy
