  • Putting out some of my greatest hits, this is the superstrat I built about two years ago. We were all set to use a schaller roller and that was a mess. we ended up converting this to a hardtail at the end.

    That was a fantastic "sum up" of all the steps of a build. I'm doing my first build right now and that really helped me unclutter my mind

    Hi man! this is art! Anyway, where did you find that tool to cut the bindings by hand?

  • @fromaggiovagiola9128
    @fromaggiovagiola9128 4 года назад +1

    I thought you would bend the top wood over the arm cut-out! This is an outrage! The pickguard covers-up enough figuring and then you cut off some extra!

    • @bigdguitars
      @bigdguitars  4 года назад +4

      Did you see how did the binding though? That’s very unique

    • @fromaggiovagiola9128
      @fromaggiovagiola9128 4 года назад

      @@bigdguitars Yes. That binding is great. Your guitars are awesome no matter what. I like how you hand carved that part.

    Have you done a vid on that fret slotting jig? Also would you do a custom super-strat if someone ordered one? E.g. 24 frets, floyd etc.

  • @samirisku9835
    @samirisku9835 4 года назад

    What was the problem with that Schaller trem? I remember you tried it on some other built as well but didn't work on that either. I have the same on my self built strat and haven't got any issues.

    • @bigdguitars
      @bigdguitars  4 года назад +1

      The pick guard was too thick. Action was goofy.

    Wow, I’m not a strat guy but dam that’s nice. Did you ever reach you 50,000 subscribers? Just how many hours did it take to build the Strat??

  • @MoyNickZanyatBlyat

    Why not bend the top?
    And why not no pickguard with backrout?

    My perfect Strat would be a hardtail bridge, 24 1/2" scale neck, and angled headstock. Seafoam green with chrome hardware and a pearloid pickguard!
