🎸 I must say I really enjoyed building this guitar and have learned a lot of new things.
I was a bit afraid of how it will turn out because there are a bunch of things I did for the first time.
But in the end it all worked out. I really like the textured neck and I am glad I managed to do the wire inlay.
Those were my two biggest challenges through the whole guitar building process. I am glad I tried it.
I used walnut root and ash wood for the body and for the neck I used walnut and maple.
Fretboard is made of Paoferro, it has 640-630 multi scale and 24stainless frets.
I also used some black dyed poplar veneers for details.
I chose Lace Sensor pickups and I am glad that I did. I really like the tone they produce.
At this point I must say thanks to Dave from Hinesite Distribution. I couldn’t find the alumitone pickup for the neck anywhere and he sent me one at the last moment. If you are interested in Lace pickups here is where you can get them:

🎥 I get a lot of questions about who is filming and editing my videos and the answer is me. I’m doing everything myself and I enjoy it as much as I do building guitars. Well, sometimes I ask my girlfriend to pull a focus for me as it is impossible to do it on my own. I’m using Davinci Resolve to edit the footage and I’m very happy with the software.

@@MagicAtticGuitars No problem. The most important thing is how incredible the result was. As I live in Brazil, I came across with a piece of Pau-ferro some years ago... It became an instant favorite of mine (stetically gorgeous and highly resonant). I love Jatobá too (much cheaper but very good too).
Yeah man, Pau ferro is one of my favourite.
But it is not so easy to get here in Slovenia. And it is not cheap either.

Having even more respect for your work of art after watching this video, dude you are a freaking master craftsman. I grew up working in my dad's cabinet shop, then years later after dad retired I came back to do custom woodwork for his former partner, so love your shop setup. Had a lot of rich clients specifying that I do the work until I got tired of making money for everyone but me and moved on. This is how a handmade guitar is built. I watched another build for the competition that was all done on CNC machines in what was just a factory. The “builder” final sanded and pressed frets into automatically cut slots and sprayed the finish. It was just like a guitar from China made with expensive woods. I love the wire inlays. They did them on the old Kentucky rifles back in Daniel Boones time and it’s a classic decorative inlay.
