    The song a robin sings,
    Through years of endless springs,
    The murmur of a brook at evening tides.
    That ripples through a nook where two lovers hide.
    That great symphonic theme,
    That's Stella by starlight,
    And not a dream,
    My heart and I agree,
    She's everything on this earth to me.

      You should learn to arpeggiate throughout the song and then practice linear method. Then all standards are equally easy/hard to play. If you just try to use one scale throughout it's harder to outline the changes anyway.

    • @sand69
      @sand69 7 лет назад +2

      On the 7th it's right but on the dominant chord you have the 9 instead of a b9 you usually have on the minor. II/V/I minor is better to be considered ad it is: a II/V/I on the minor harmonic scale. Any modal scale based on the mayor is wrong in any way or doesn't have the right sound. IMHO.

    • @sand69
      @sand69 7 лет назад +3

      I'd begin using only one single note (for example the third: play the 3rd of any chord. Then add the 7th and you have the lead tones, than the 5th and 1st and then add the tensions for every chord). To play the chord tone (arpeggios) of every single chord is already a good point to start.

    why does the half dim E chord at the top sound like Amaj/E?

    • @guitareimprovisation
      @guitareimprovisation  6 лет назад +2

      This chord is a Em7b5 with a perfect 11th at the top : A. It may sound like a BbMaj7 13 /E if that's what you mean.

    • @ceroth5625
      @ceroth5625 6 лет назад +1

      It actually sounds like a Dmaj with an E in the root. Must be my ears.

      Or a E7sus4

    • @michaelyaussi5481

      The guitar might be playing a E7sus4 but the bassline has a Bb in the 1st measure
