ORBITAL FOOTAGE: China’s Chang’e-6 ascender docks with orbiter and transfer moon samples

  • CHANG'E-6 MILESTONE: In so far a staggeringly successful mission , China’s Chang’e-6 ascender spacecraft completes autonomous rendezvous and docking with the orbiter and transferred lunar samples in preparation for the final leg of the return journey.
An ascent vehicle docked with the Chang’e-6 service module Thursday, in a critical step towards bringing the first lunar far side samples to Earth.
The lunar orbit rendezvous and docking was completed at 2:48 a.m. Eastern (0648 UTC) June 6, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) announced. Transfer of a lunar material container to a reentry module was completed at 3:24 a.m.
The Chang’e-6 orbiter will next jettison the ascent vehicle, which will then be deorbited into the moon. The orbiter, or service module, will remain in lunar orbit for around two weeks, awaiting a window for a return to Earth. It will release the reentry capsule for reentry and landing in Siziwang Banner, Inner Mongolia around June 25.
The robotic lunar orbit rendezvous is only the second such operation conducted, following the 2020 Chang’e-5 mission. The docking path, rather than a direct return, mirrors aspects of the Apollo mission profile, and is as such applicable practice and experience for China’s plans to put astronauts on the moon before the end of the decade.

China's Chang'e 6 mission continues to make history, having collected the first samples ever retrieved from the far side of the moon and now transferring those samples between spacecraft in orbit. That transfer was necessary for the next step in the samples' journey - returning to Earth. #chinaspace #ChangE6 #chinanews

What makes this mission FAR MORE COMPLICATED than all other Moon Landings is that China has to TRIANGULATE the signals to control their Orbiter, Lander, Rover and Return Module because they're working on the Far-side of the Moon. It's not like all others where they had control on the Near-side of the Moon that needs NO TRIANGULATION, but direct signalling.

China's been sending up their own Taikonauts to their own Space Stations on a monthly basis (3 Taikonauts exchanges) for the past 2 years.
USA have NOT been able to send their own Astronauts to the ISS for 15 years. For the first 12 years they've been paying Russia to send them up, and to return them. The past 2 years, USA has been paying a South African International Entrepreneur, Elon Musk, to use his SpaceX (who employs over 2,000 Chinese Space engineers) to send their Astronauts back and forth to the ISS.
The other day, USA made a big media hype that they've sent their OWN Astronauts to the ISS using Boeing. And now, Boeing is found to be leaking helium.
I think we can all safely say that China is the current World Leaders in the Space Industry. Now, how do you get the USA driven Western Media to acknowledge that?

Way way behind the US Hollywood videos 55 years ago. In the Hollywood videos, Apollo ascender was so clean, so clear, so smooth when approaching the service module. The ascender even made a flip turn when it was so close to the service module, without using any maneuver rocket engines, in fact, it didn't even have any. It was just flying in the space, so smoothly, made a flip turn, and then docked into the service module like a charm. Every thing was so perfect. That's 55 years ago, people!
Now look at the Chinese ascender instead, the quality of the video was so blurry, dark, rough, and the ascender was in extremely slow maneuver. It banged into the docking system on board the service module like a car running at 90 km per hour smashed itself into a house......you can see and feel the impacts on the dock.
So we can conclude that, the Chinese moon mission is still 55 years behind Hollywood.

The ascent module was well within the docking target area. From there the grapple mechanism does the rest of the fine positioning to get the ascent module spar into position for hard latch. The sample cannister was transferred into the reentry capsule perfectly, and it looks like they got a good seal on the capsule. The hardest work is now done, all that remains is to return to Earth and release the capsule for reentry. China is rapidly getting their "space legs", and are making complex tasks it look easy.

NASA: we Americans were first on the Moon in 1969
CHINA: ...then why you can't go again today in 2024?
NASA: ... because it was easy to go to the Moon in 1969 technology,
...but very high risk to go there in 2024 technology.

Chinese took so many years hard work and research to achieve this perfection in space program. How NASA did human transfer in times of 1969 ? Great question. There problems were three times more difficult to retain the safety of astronauts.

You are right - Considering the technology of that time, how could NASA mange to transfer astronauts to moon surface and back to orbiter? NASA, please show the evidence to the world otherwise it was a scam, the biggest lie in astronomy history!😂😂😂

However, NASA desperately wants Chinese soil samples. Don’t they have hundreds of kilograms of samples? There is absolutely no need to ask for samples from China.🤣

Oh yeahhh.... but all those 362 kilograms of collected 'moon samples' are found en masse in the backyard of Hollywood film locations in the Nevada desert.
That's why NASA-funded researchers had requested access to lunar samples collected by China's Chang'e-5 mission, and were finally available to US scientists on December 1, 2023.
China had made those samples available to researchers from countries until December 22, 2023.
