    So I had Dan at Champion tune my 2019 CB650R the other day. Man, the bike runs totally different now. So much more responsive at the low end and exhilarating through the mid to high ends! I picked up 10 HP at the rear wheel. I wholeheartedly recommend Champion for tuning and if you want your bike to perform better and be easier to ride in a spirited manner... get a system, air filter and tune!

    Getting my 2018 Kwaka Z900 fitted with a Power Commander 6 and full dyno tune. Also gonna get a full after market suspension set up fitted. This is a cheaper option than upgrading to a pricey & high maintenance but awesome Aprilia Tuono …

    Does it matter whether one uses a piggy back module vs flashing the ECU itself?
    I'm only running a full exhaust and would like to dial it in a bit more as I think I'm running a little lean (based on the condition of the spark plugs).
    What would you suggest?
    I'm seeing mixed feedback on this where some people swear by piggy back modules while others standby ECU reflashing after dyno time.

    • @ChampionCycle
      @ChampionCycle  3 года назад +3

      We actually like and use both. Depending the mods a bike has and/or the make and model. We sometimes just use a piggyback tuner to get a good afr and on ya go. But on certain models ie. Very restricted ones (r6, r1, newer zx10, gsxr) etc... we like to use the ecu so that we can due alot more than just fuel tuning.

    Hello i just put a coffman slip on shorty exhaust on my k4 gsxr 1000 and due to the oem exhaust built in servo valve i had to take off the servo valve off with the oem exhaust as well after that i experienced a loss of power do you guys think a dyno tune would fix the issue ?

  • @sashadrain6369
    @sashadrain6369 3 года назад +4

    Just curious i have brought a new gsxr600 and it has a full M4 tech 1 system on it with a woolich racing tune on it downloaded from the computer. Would you personally get it on the dyno? Not sure if it will be running lean through the 6 to 9k mark

    • @ChampionCycle
      @ChampionCycle  3 года назад +2

      1000% get it on your local dyno. Downloaded maps are just gambles and more often than not incorrect for your application. Especially the woolich racing mapshare maps as they are uploaded by anyone and everyone.

    Odd question maybe... why will mph at the track increase with richer settings? I guess why if the bike makes a few more hp leaner does it not add up to faster times? I have always wanted to ask a legit tuner this question

    • @ChampionCycle
      @ChampionCycle  3 года назад +3

      More fuel essentially means more tq. Tq is what matters. Leaner afr is good to fool clients with high dyno numbers but don't necessarily convert to a faster bike. 💪💪

  • @GreenDragon636

    Ok, so good video but you are not being honest about ECU flashing, better chance of winning the lottery, WTF are you talking about? Shops like Moore Mafia, Superbike Unlimited, Spears, Norton Motorsports etc. are not "kids" with computers. These are shops that race motorcycles and dyno tune the same motorcycles with the same or very similar mods that will yield excellent results. Of course dyno tuning will give the best results for racing but ECU flashing from these shops is no where near, not even fucking close to what you are describing and is perfectly legit for street riding.

    • @ChampionCycle
      @ChampionCycle  3 года назад

      Were referring to just flashing and not dyno tuning. Pay attention to the video and try to keep up. Ecu Flashing with dyno tuning is great, we do it daily. We were talking about canned tunes and preloaded maps, not dialed in on a dyno. You might want to brush up on your English or at least your comprehension skills. Pay attention..... smh

      The video was very informative but IMO, it lacked accuracy in describing ECU flashing services.
      Here is Chris Moore discussing his mail in ECU flash service that he and other reputable shops offer. Chris makes the distinction between Dyno tuning, ECU Flashing using a Dyno map, and an ECU flash that will simply disable/enable some settings. So there are different levels of ECU flashing services and should not be lumped together and disregarded as trash.
      ruclips.net/video/0_uwd5N2r1o/видео.html
      Another great video from RevZilla about ECU Reflash vs. Power Commander For Engine Tuning.
      ruclips.net/video/dKoTbkkoo_I/видео.html
      I've had multiple bikes ECU flashed tuned using mail in services by Chris Moore and Freddy at Superbike Unlimited while I was standing in their office talking to them. Since these shops are in driving distance I drove my ECU out to them instead of mailing it so I know exactly what I'm talking about. I also ECU flash my Mustang Ecoboost using an SCT hand held tuner with custom tunes so I know what ECU flashing vs Dyno tuning is sparky. Watch you are own fucking video, you clearly state "Flash tuning is not tuning." and go on to state that it's like hitting the lottery.
      The mail in ECU flashing services from Moore Mafia, Norton, Spears and Superbike Unlimited etc is a Dyno map from another bike with the same or similar mods. So mailing your ECU to get flash tuned is not like hitting the lottery unless you are stupid enough to mail your ECU to some kid with a computer, but who the fuck would do that? You make no distinction between an ECU flash tune from Chris Moore and some kid with a computer, you simply lumped all ECU flashing services together which is incorrect and disingenuous.
      Had you made the distinction between Chris Moore flashing the ECU and some kid with a computer the video would be excellent.
