This is great. Everyone knows that you have to get the bearing surfaces wet, get fuel round the engine etc, but with these petrol motors it's not obvious how to do it. I certainly learned from this. I haven't designed or built anything serious for years, but I remember Turnigy being the brand for little blue servos, you could get quite a few for a few pounds, enough to do a little warbird or cabin model, and have a spare or two. This engine is a BEAST, and the sound as well as the 7.5kg thrust is again too sexi, and I might once again surprise myself in the shower, but when a new Petrincic Bros R.C Channel video comes up, I don't mind being dirty for a few minutes. Big salute from London. 👍

Well over 50 planes in my fleet. Next couple of days going to look at some planes a friend wants to sell. Might have one that a gas engine would be nice. ✈️🧔💝
The Turnigy twin sounds very nice. btw - a 3% oil mix is equivalent to 33-1 mix (as 33x3% = 99%) (33 parts gas to one part oil). I use 40-1 Redline (3 oz per gallon), as Redline is a high-quality synthetic oil.

Nice engine! Hanger 9 aircraft is where that engine will be installed? Awesome! My friends that engine runs great, Cptn. Blaz works his magic again. Keep on trucking bros!
This is the first video I have seen by you two. You guys are histerical. Very fun and entertaining. I have been looking for a twin for my 1/4 scale Cub. I think 40cc is too much but this 31 cc looks perfect! Thanks for the information and the entertaining video. (I love the saluting schtick!) Keep up the good work. Salute!
What brand of 1/4 scale Cub do you have? Have you made an engine purchase yet? I'm at the point in my 1/4 scale Sig Cub build that I need to decide on the engine and I was also thinking either a twin 30cc gas 2S or 30cc single gas 4S.
This was nice to see Capt Blaz smiling with this twin cylinders engine. Sure sounds good too will be nice on a plane. Funny watching Blaz smile when the engine turns right back on with finger/hand spins of the prop. Great video guys!!!!

Great video, thanks for all tips and tricks. There seems to be no substitute for a great running petrol engine. For convenience the electric planes are there and you can have fun with them. But for me the ultimate desire is a nice big warbird with a radial engine on it. Who knows someday.
Captain Blaz, do you have any experience with removing Ethanol from gasoline ? To help extend the shelf life and prevent damn water getting in and messing up the gasoline when storing it for a long time. Often we buy large amounts of gas and it then gets spoiled in storage in winter etc. Also, if you have used ethanol free gas, does it still run the same or worse ?
A beautiful engine! It's just a pity that HK doesn't offer a proper silencer for this, with which you can also pass/obtain a noise test/noise pass on German model airfields. And I also think it's a pity that the Walbro carburetors are not delivered with Velocity Stack. A long velocity stack saves about 30% fuel that would otherwise simply be wasted through evaporation. Unfortunately, a 90° deflection of the carburetor for a noise-reducing fuselage intake is also missing. So you still have to do some expensive upgrades. It may be fine for the rest of the world, but in Germany you are monitored and attacked with a combustion engine - unfortunately! It is still a good alternative for long flight times and on colder days or when there is no power supply. I like the sound too.
What a sexy little twin , great advice to first run a gas engine, as captin robert said two clinders are better , like two sexy squeeze wheels and a wet finger 😜 slaute
That's because it is! If you take the time to download and look at the two manuals and look at the exploded view of the engine parts, you will see the illustrations and the part numbers are identical too a tee!!! I have both manuals on my computer. The RCGF engines are $100.00 cheaper then the HK

Yes. Because ethanol is corn alcohol and the byproduct of the combustion cycle of ethanol is acid. That acid eats everything. Also when the alcohol evaporates (which takes as little as 2 months) it leaves beh8nd corn syrup acid. Which eats viton rubber. This is what i deal with for a living.
