  • The GrandMA3 console can position all your fixtures, based on the position your fixtures have in your 3D space.
    This time we are going to build a GrandMA3 Layout view from the MVR file we imported in the last episode. But we will ask the GrandMA3 console to do most of the hard work for us.
    The GrandMA3 layout is an invaluable tool when it comes to GrandMA3 programming.
    It will help you to have a much better overview of your fixtures, and you can assign a lot of different objects to your layout.
    I you are serious on learning GrandMA3, this episode will break down how you assign fixtures to your layout view, and it will show you the easiest way to do that.

    Tell me please. 🚫 *The last 2 videos* is that to much, to soon? 😀 I am trying to understand what kind of content you prefer. 😀

      Where is the lay out view good for? Do you use it for live or for programming.

    • @Event-Lighting
      @Event-Lighting  2 года назад

      Hi Bas. The short answer is - Both. 😀 The layout view is a place where you can customize exactly what you want. Most programmers use it for fast fixture selection when programming. It gives you a great overview of your lighting rig. 😀 But you can also set it up for live busking if you want. 😀

      @@timforan2298 That´s very nice of you 😀 I think one everyday would be a bit too much, I don’t want to overwhelm all of you - But thank you for the request 👍👍

      No matter how often you do a video, they are always SO helpful. I prefer short, one topic video's myself. It's so easy to find and re-watch exactly what I may have missed or needed to watch again.

    A fast way of doing the view would be to store one top view with everything and then use the world pool to only show the lights you want to work on

      Hi Mike. Sound GREAT 😀 I hope that you will be happy using it in the future - There is a new software out today with a lot of bug fixes - remember to download that before you start 😀

      We used our new console with on PC during worship rehearsal this evening. WOW! We love the console!!! One question: How do we get the faders to light-up? I know I saw it in one of your video's but can't remember which one? I so appreciate your help and the time you're taking to produce these excellent, outstanding and easy to follow video's.

    Whoaaa I didn’t know you could add labels to borders like that. This is exactly what I’ve been wanting to do. Thank you!

      Hi Timforan.
      Thank you for commenting 👍👍👍
      You can also color the border so it stands out from the rest of the layout. 😀

    Hello my friend. Many thanks for your time on this appreciated videos! Just a simple question: what's the differences between layout and grid selection since you can build the same layout on both? I mean, when you have to create a new show on short time, it's better to use only the grid selection or also the layout (spending double time to create both fixtures position?) thanks

    In setting up the Views and moving them around and then Centering them. How do you save the view so that when you open the View again you don't have to center the fixtures . They open up already centered.

    Was that the World of Warcraft Trade Master Bell sound?

    • @IanSPeterson
      @IanSPeterson 3 месяца назад

      Yes! It's from a generic sound library so he may have gotten it elsewhere since a lot of different places use it but you're right it's that exact sound

    Isn‘t it easier to use Worlds for the filtering process?

  • @LordZebedee
    @LordZebedee Год назад

    How are you multi selecting them at 5:47 ? When I click them it keeps deselecting the previous so only allows one selection at a time.

    • @LordZebedee
      @LordZebedee Год назад

      I found the option to hold control whilst selecting in a later video of yours (for another multi selection), but is there a way of making that standard without holding control?
