Finally managed to upgrade from an amazon knockoff (it has held up surprisingly well, but its certainly time to upgrade) to a fold 2 pro. Cant wait to try it out in the new year.
Thank you so much for your videos, they've been a HUGE help in getting me started ^¥^

i often have 2 problems. First, sometimes when i first go onto the skin, a big blob of ink is released and i have to wipe, before i started. Is it because of the needles or is there any way to prevent this? Second, sometimes the lines inside of my line dont seem to bee connected, i guess thats because of wrong needle angle? Like when you have a 9RL there are 9 little needles connected, but sometimes i can see they arent really connecting.

Throwing your needle out further will help with ink blob, same with a thin layer of Vaseline, sometimes you can have your needle out to far to have ink fall out at all, so finding a good medium is good

Is pulling a line without ink more harsh on the skin than with ink? I done a small test line on my leg without ink and it had a tiny bit of blood (didn’t need to wipe it) and was pretty red around it. I didn’t go deep and the line was done quick. It was a 3rl btw

I would think it is the same to an extent. I feel it becomes harsh if we dont apply small layers of ointment before we tattoo the site. Tattooing on its own is a harsh process that involves bits of blood, pain, plasma and sometimes heartache haha. Now it is normal to see blood even dry tattooing with no ink, but using a 3rl when we are just starting is a rule I go by. It be better to use a 7-9RL and work your way around from there. 3RL is easy to cause damage and traumatize the skin. How did it heal?
