If the A’s were to move to Vegas, I’d want their park to look exactly like this. This is defiantly an improved version of Globe Life Field, especially with the giant glass wall making the outside more viewable than GLF. Incredibly impressive.
100% agree with you bro we gotta get retractable roof stadiums for all 30 MLB TEAMS so there won’t be any more rain delays and postponements and no more makeup dates no more tarp crew and anymore of that stuff and for the all the NFL TEAMS there won’t be anymore Lighting Delays we gotta get the games played on time we gotta get this goal eventually done it might be a lot of hard work but it will eventually pay off!!!!!!!!!
The dome thing is because owners/cities want the ability to use the stadium year round for other events. If you look, once training camps start, teams are leery of, particularly grass fields, putting on concerts and things like that. Now it is about getting more than 10 events a year for the NFL and maybe 2 more other events. If you have a dome, as you said, opens up to other things like NCAA championships or tournament locations in addition to being available for more larger events like concerts.
This is what Globe Life should have been. Globe Life's interior is alright, but the exterior is just hideous. It looks like someone built a baseball field in a giant barn.
When you talk about softness, I think what’s really happening is that the blue collar fans are being priced out of the sports experience. It doesn’t surprise me that upper middle class/rich people who can afford to go to games want comfort.
It literally reminds me of a cabin in the woods. Works perfectly with the climate up there. You ask me they should be playing the WBC at this stadium instead of the Tokyo Dome
Well, comparable to a _modern_ MLB stadium. A lot of the newer Japanese stadiums prior to this one were comparable to the state of the art of the 70s in the US. The Egg Dome was essentially like the HHH Metrodome.
Santiago Bernabeu, the home of Real Madrid, was built in 1947. Real Madrid are in the final stages of adding a retractable roof and a retractable field to the stadium. When completed, it will look as modern as any stadium in existence. The entire cost of that project is still less than if they were to construct an entirely new stadium with similar features. Pro American/Canadian teams may want to take notes on that project. It's a more efficient way to "construct a new stadium." As for the Hokkaido stadium, much of Hokkaido's climate is similar to the climate in Western New York. It snows *a lot* over there. The roof was specifically designed with that in mind.
I thought of the Bernabéu when he started talking about the Brown’s stadium. But Real Madrid did have the benefit of playing at their training facility during the pandemic when fans weren’t permitted to allow for construction. The Browns might have to play a season or two in Columbus to allow for some of the upgrades.
The US has done it before successfully. Look at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Since it no longer had to host both baseball and football, it became a football exclusive venue
@@shoukatsukai The Hard Rock Stadium project added a roof to cover the spectators and replaced the seating among other things. The Santiago Bernabeu project installs a *retractable* roof, a new system that can convert from a grass field to a concrete surface and vice-versa and an extensive lighting system that can help maintain the grass field while it's under the concrete surface. Hard Rock Stadium's renovation was pretty good, but Santiago Berneabeu's renovation will be outstanding.
I am a fan of baseball stadiums and this year's stadiums are exciting, Estadio La Rinconada in Venezuela, ES CON Field Hokkaido in Japan and Taipei Dome in Taiwan. they are all very good stadiums.
I'm not a fan of the bullpens being right down the line outside the left/right field walls. This means the only home runs fans catch are ones hit to the alley, or if someone really gets around a one and hits it to the upper deck.
I’m a bit sad that Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters have moved out of the Sapporo Dome because that was a baseball/football multipurpose stadium that actually worked for both sports.
I honestly think this is a gorgeous park, and almost wish this was what Texas got instead of what they actually got, besides the weird bit behind home plate.
U mentioned that a browns new stadium would get 2-3 Super Bowls in a 30-45 year period, no way they get more then 1 - it’s always 1 for the cold weather rust belt cities that fork out mega bucks so private industry can make more money
This is absolutely amazing and so well done and TBH every MLB AND NFL team should go for nearly 100% retractable roof stadiums i wish that my Miami Dolphins had a stadium just like this TBH not BS Hard Rock Stadium and I have no idea why the Atlanta Braves built a stadium with no retractable roof 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ and if the Yankees Red Sox Cubs and Dodgers ever get new stadiums they 6:43 MUST be Retractable Roofs IMO I agree with you I hate dome stadiums with retractable stadiums you can open the roofs for great weather and close it for bad weather simple as that all 30 MLB AND 32 NFL TEAMS MUST HAVE RETRACTABLE ROOF STADIUMS! No domes!!!!!!
Small budget / small market MLB teams SHOULD be building "pitchers' parks". Good starting pitching is hard to find and keep. Having a launching pad, like Great American Ballpark, just kills your pitching development and scares off any decent free agent pitching. Make it a huge field and help your pitchers out. The A's, Rays, Pirates, Reds, etc. should have big outfields with a ton of foul territory. You won't make your power hitters happy, but they cost big money, too. Go "small ball" and find some success on the cheap.
Nice to see a forward/ unconventional approach to a baseball stadium. There have been some real clunkers in the States, it's time some of these stadiums evolve technology and create a greater variety of fan experiences at the park.
Speaking on the browns fans: it's not fair to blame that all on the softness of society. The franchise is a loser, it's not worth it anymore. They have extremely loyal fans who will still support no matter what, but it's better to do it from home after such a long drought.
Keep in mind as well, Globe Life Field gets bashed for its exterior a lot. The exterior of Globe Life Field isn't much to write home about. I really feel like Globe Life Field was the guinea pig for EsCon Field's design. While yes, the interior of Globe Life Field has also been characterized as "generic", it does have very abstract reminders of its predecessor. EsCon Field has tons of character. I wished HKS would've given this design to the Rangers. Rangers fans would've loved it!
If I win the lottery I’m buying an apartment here and watch ball all summer and snowboard the best snow on earth all winter. Looks so modern! If the stands are too close to home plate I will take that chance!
I've been to over half the NFL stadiums, and have been to first energy dozens of times, I literally do not see anything wrong w it besides the roof thing, which I like the open air. If the browns stadium is so bad then Heinz must be awful then, because we have like the same thing but honestly worse, but none of us need a new stadium
I loved globe life when i went i dont get the fuss. The upper decks were so overhang there isnt really a bad seat in the park. 3rd deck at coors feels wayyyy farther away than globe life.
All Ballparks will soon have Theme Psrks, Shopping Malls. Bar/Restaurant districts, Hotels. Condos and Apartments all within a 2-3 mile vicinity. The NFL will do likewise with retracable roofs to ensure a Super Bowl. To acquire enough land a move to the Suburbs or a Sunbelt City is imminent . Wrigley & Fenway will soon meet the Wrecking Ball. It's not about the Game it's about the experience oh and profit.
The NFL had no right to take away the Baltimore Ravens history as the original Cleveland Browns. Just like the NBA had no right to take away the New Orleans Pelicans history as the original Charlotte Hornets.

Yup. With the Strip in the backdrop behind the glass.
A’s fans neeed to remember cincinnati played the 1st night game and you can’t afford police double overtime if the games over 3hrs
There is no way those windows in center would work in Vegas. It would turn that place into an oven with the sun beating through them.
The A's should just move to Japan 🤣
