The most egregious thing about the Turn the Clock Forward promotion was how unimaginative the designs were. Most of them were literally just the regular logo BLOWN UP!!! smh
I like to think the "turn ahead the clocks program" saved MLB jerseys in that when people got a look at the 90's designs, taken to extremes, and all at once, they collectively shouted "No" and thus ensured traditional uniforms would remain the norm.
RIP to the Arizona Coyotes - they had one of the coolest “90s logos” and to my knowledge were the only team with a unique pattern on their stitching in the NHL
Should have definitely talk about when Puma made sleeveless soccer jerseys and even onesie soccer jerseys for the Cameroon national team in the early 2000s.
Mooterus has become a cult classic favorite in the Stars fandom, hell I even have the crest as a decal on my car's windshield. It may be ugly as hell but it by no means is the Stars' worst jersey lmao
The 2007 Philadelphia Eagles wore yellow and light blue uniform as an homage to the Frankford Yellow Jackets from the 1920's. The uniform got negative reception and the Eagles never wore the uniform again.
i've been following the sports uni scene for a while so i wanted to give some notes: -The Bills/Jets game was a hinderance to the color blind, but outside of that they were/are pretty nice jerseys. This was also the first color rush game before the full program launched, and were kept under wraps pretty well without leaks, so i can understand the league making this mistake, and i don't believe it's happened since. It should also be noted how Washington never actually wore their color rush jerseys since they were so ugly. -The Michigan State basketball uniform, while garish to some, was actually designed pretty well imo. The football uniform on the other hand, looks like it was made in MS Paint in about 10 minutes. -Like the Bills/Jets game, the warriors uniform was the first in a program the NBA was starting, but it was treated more as an experiment. It's a miracle that every team ended up getting one when THAT was the initial design. -Turn Ahead the Clock was a really fun idea when the Mariners came up with it, made for a fun game. When the rest of the league adopted it, most of the team's designs were just "put a giant logo on the front", it just made the whole thing feel inauthentic. still, would've been nice to have some of them return in 2021 as a laugh, hopefully the Royals and Mariners comply in 2027. -The leather texture on the helmet was a good look imo, a good middleground between just wearing a brown helmet and recreating the design on a modern helmet like TAMU and Illinois did.
A more obscure sport, but I feel like the Norwegian curling team deserves a mention. They are known for wearing a variety of colorful pants in all sorts of unusual patterns at major competitions, it's always fun to see what they come up with next!
Speaking of jersey clashes, whenever the Australian AFL's two biggest rivals, Collingwood and Carlton play, Collingwood wear black and white stripes while Carlton wear all navy blue, and sometimes both teams even wear dark shorts, it's the top billing game most years and it's not even watchable
Barber pole was part of the Candiens 100th season. It had the original CAC (Club Athletique Canadien) logo that became the CHC (Club Hockey Canadien) logo.
I owned a sporting apparel store from 1994-2000. We sold some of those Turn Ahead The Clock jersey's. My store was in Kansas City, and we sold the Pirates and Mariners.
The Ryder Cup polos are so bad they’re good. Like Al Czervik’s wardrobe in Caddyshack. I mean golf gear in general is fxcking hideous so it makes sense

The mooterus is insane
I actually like it, but mainly for the astrological part. The candy cane Canadian jersey was a miss
It’s such a bad design but I want to wear it as a joke
Hockey had a ton of crazy designs. LA Kings Burger King jersey, Anaheim's Wild Wing, the Blues alternate that never made it to the ice
Don't forget the Canucks flying V.
It's not a jersey, but how about Cooper-alls? Those were yikes 😬😳
All great ideas! For a future video maybe :)

I loved the Mariners jersey personally, but it really should have stayed a one-time thing.

Got those in the works for a follow up video! Great ideas

mooterus jerseys go for INSANE money now, people go crazy trying to get their hands on one
Your video essays are always so good, i still have no idea why you don't get more views
Great video man! I’m subscribing
Awesome vid, one team outfits nobody seems to talk about is Norway's Olympic Curling Team uniforms, especially 2010, 2014, and 2018.
Great shout... maybe for a follow up
Nice content my man.
Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Wow great video man. You deserve a lot more subscribers. Keep at it
What about the spanish league 3 team that had kits to look like they had no skin???
Great video and editing brodie. Keep up the good work
Appreciate that, will do!
Deserves more views man. Good shit 🙏
Much appreciated, thanks.

shocked you don't have more subs and views dude, this is pretty good quality stuff (also commenting for the algorithm too)
Hey, thanks!
Good video and research. Underrated channel.
Thank you!
Your videos are so good. How do you only have 790 subs?
Nice video, good job
The Steelers’ bumblebee uniforms are legendary
legendary trash
@@poindextertunesit’s called fashion sweetie
I'd love to see part 2, 3 ect. Also a variety of sports of have themes shows too about history, very interesting
Editor needs a raise - these are great

Dude the White Sox player’s legs must have been devastated after sliding in those shorts
Not if they dove head first.
100% disagree about the bumblebees steelers jerseys. They are awesome. The entire uniform is great.
That’s exactly what I was thinking! they remind me a lot of the 1970s Pirates with their circular stripe hats
Great video dude
sick video man keep it up !!
really solid research for this vid

LOL both of em can't be arsed to wear their change strip because of pride
Would love to see a part 2!
very underrated channel
That purple giants jersey is low key hard af 😅
The Steelers bumblebee jersey slander is uncalled for. Awesome video nonetheless
I thought you said they were going to wear Penn State uniforms. No, I said State Pen.
EXACTLY the bumblee jersey is awesome
did Washington ever wear those all yellow color rushes?
No. They may have been the only NFL team not to wear them.
Fantastic video. Great job, sir. The blur filter around you is distracting though. Only critique.
Noted, thanks. appreciate it!
I guess they never heard of Jorge Campos, Mexican soccer goalkeeper from the 90s.
Barber pole was part of the Candiens 100th season. It had the original CAC (Club Athletique Canadien) logo that became the CHC (Club Hockey Canadien) logo.
I'm older but the trend in all football to go 100% monochromatic in all colors ALWAYS looks hideous to me, except white of course
WAS NOT EXPECTING TO SEE A DONEGAL JERSEY BUT NICE TOUCH
great video!
Thanks!
I remember the SD Padres had a hat where the logo looked like a swastika. Of course it was banned immediately.
Besides Napoli, Olympique Marseille a french soccer team also wore denim as away kit back in 2013/14 if I'm not mistaken. Which is weird.
I wonder what they were inspired by.
You have to wonder what people in the front office that are in charge of the jerseys were thinking when they designed these jerseys
Do soccer from around the world 👍🏼
A Pirates Turn Ahead the Clock jersey is listed on ebay for $900
bro is smoking rocks 😂
your content is amazing
Thanks!

94-2000? Sports nutz?
@@corywilson2007 No.
Damn those turn ahead the clock jerseys are hideous
The Predators' Mustard Tiger definitely deserves a spot in this list. It's probably the ugliest jersey in NHL history.
RUclips algorithm randomly recommend this video. Great video man, and really interesting too, covering a variety of sports
Glad you enjoyed!
I would love a follow up video for the best jerseys and unis of all time
Shoutout to the 1933 throwback jerseys the eagles rocked in the 2007 season, they’re so ugly yet i love them so much
My uncle always said the Dallas knights uniforms from any given Sunday were some of the ugliest ones he'd ever seen
Another one for golf: Ian Poulter's tartan pants and Union Jack shirt. That's a bold fashion statement.
Also could have mentioned the late Payne Stewart's plus fours and flat cap getup.
Good idea, maybe for a future vid!
Afl indigenous round guernsey (jersey without sleeves) are some of the most unique designs i've ever seen.
Good shout
Those '99 Ryder Cup polos got to be called the Ruby Tuesday polos.
Payne Stewart - classy plus fours and matching hat (knickers in the States and NOT in the UK, where kickers are ladies underwear)
The bumblebee Steelers jersey is fine, it's the socks that mess it up the most
That msu lime green was sick af idc
You are so underrated
You should have put Payne Stewart in the golf section
Proud owner of a Mooterus jersey!! Except it’s a kids size so I can’t wear it anymore :(
if you do this again you should consider the 1989 NC State basketball unitard
How about the Colorado Caribous football/soccer shirt with tassels on the front or THAT 92/93 Fiorentina shirt
Tbh I don’t mind the faux leather helmet look, thought it was something different
So underrated
Weird you didn't mention Jorge Campos and his crazy AF jerseys during the 90s
Maybe for a future video! :)
I love the Mooterus and if they brought it back I would buy it
The Ryder Cup polos are so bad they’re good. Like Al Czervik’s wardrobe in Caddyshack. I mean golf gear in general is fxcking hideous so it makes sense
How bad was Washington's color rush uni? They never wore it.
The NJ Devils Martin Brodeur designed “Jersey” threads
Nike is to Jerseys what EA is to Madden
I came for the Battalion, but left empty handed.
The Mooterus was designed by Christy Martinez.
It’s pronounced Veeck as in wreck
I would seriously wear that Ryder Cup shirt, Kramer got fashion right
Islanders fish sticks jersey was horrible
5:55 The short uniform White Sox have more wins than the current White Sox team
No appreciation for the one off Eagles game where they wore yellow and powder blue????
No mention of the New Jersey Nets tie-dyed jersey from the early 90's?
In the early 90s; most, if not all, teams in the Arena Football League had Zubaz patterns in their uniforms.
Sweating Profusely!
Wait Ricky wore that for osu?! On god I always thought was for Tennessee
I kinda wanna get that Napoli denim shirt. I can’t be the only person that likes it lmao
More please
calgary flames mcdonalds looking jerseys should be in this.
Well not 90 minutes straight but 45 minutes straight there is halftime
I would love to see an opposite of this video with best designs of all tome
“Weird” you just are young and don’t know any better 😂😂😂
The Bumblebees are tight and anyone who says otherwise is wrong and a hater.
okay pitt fan 😂
I’d have to throw in all the new fugly jerseys coming out now
golden state one would of been nice if it was just blue
No Celtics sleeve jerseys
I love the bumblebee jerseys
i bet some of these jerseys are worth a fortune
Hey the bumblebee jerseys are a classic, thumbs down
Based and true.
I agree
They look amazing with the black pants
Prisoner uniforms don’t look cool lol
I think his take was spot-on. They look good in a vacuum but on the field it never quite worked.
@@gavinsheridan4680100% on TV those unis were straight up garbage 🗑
