Where Winnie went wrong was by her saying the show didn’t do anything for her career! I agree with Jeannie and Loni! It didn’t turn out like Winnie expected but to say it didn’t do anything? Everybody knows her from that show so it definitely did something! And to be known is at least a good start into something.

I dont know why some of these girls think that competing on a TV show would automatically get you to your dream , the best these shows can do for you is give you exposure which Winnie definitely got from ANTM. Think about it, how many stars have come out of the voice ,AGT or Idols ....winnies tone was really off and it would be unfair for her to even make a career solely off of being on a TV show
@Lily Rose look at the ratio tho, those are only three out of hundreds of people that have been on those singing shows, we get a star from them once in a blue moon and those shows are way bigger platforms than antm For antm tho we have some contestants that actually have decent careers for themselves off their stay on antm like fatima saied , caridee english, jaslene Gonzalez , shaliesha stowers etc . I dont know why they all think they are going to be the next tyra banks or giselle once they leave the show.

A reality tv series will make you a celebrity, not necessarily a star in a particular field. Most x-factor/voice contestants don’t become famous singers with longevity

What she said was true a lot of modeling agencies didn't sign ANTM contestants because of the reality stigma. Those girls were probably thinking being on a modeling show hosted by a real model Tyra Banks would open more doors.

She could've just easily posted on her IG and hoped to gain followers from that But a TV show has a bigger audience in a shorter amount of time. So Tyra did technically make her career what it was.
