Things to know...
Motor clubs are a great way to help grow your roadside assistance business. Generally, I say that motor clubs should be charged the highest rate they can possibly be charged.
Fact is, people will come into this industry who aren't here to stay and those are usually the ones that take motor club's competitive rate. The low ball or competitive rate is for suckers and don't let anyone tell you different.
I notice a lot of people change their rates when business is slow but this is one of the biggest mistakes a newbie can make in the industry. When you do this you are only low balling yourself.
Building your business solely around motor clubs is like building a house on sand. It will not and cannot stand, diversity is key.
This industry has its ups and downs. There will be slow days, there will be slow weeks and there will be slow months but as a business owner you have to have the resilience to weather through the storm and wait for when your time calls.
Now this isn't foolproof and a lot of folks can't even get into motor clubs without low balling in the industry but that's where the decision needs to be made. Do you become part of the dog-eat-dog world or do you put your foot down to make the change?

I am a consumer that belongs to a motor club. I was more than 1000 miles form home. Car stopped working. When you have to put out money and you are from out of state it's a vulnerable position. I called my motor club. The guy came out. I told him I would give him $50. tip if he would give me the name of an honest shop that charges reasonable rates. He did. The repair bill was very reasonable. They threw the broken part in the trunk. When I got home my garage told me the price they charged was mush less than they would have charged and they used a NAPA part with a NAPA nationwide guarantee. The funny things was the shop was a mess. It looked like Sanford and Sons but the people were really nice.

Where’s the link where I only need to put my email in to get the list? just seen some Start your own business site.
With motorclub do you have to work they schedule or could make your own schedule, say I want to start part-time or work only weekends for now?
You can set a schedule but I’m not sure if the motor club I want to contact with you or not based on different factors
$25-30 per call isn't very good if your doing tires or changing a battery. Just a jump or a gas run maybe. Do they negotiate concerning miles, time type of job?
- fuel, insurance, just doesn’t make sense. They can raise you but that just means no one will send you calls. They will make customers wait till someone does it for 25
I normally charge 50 per sevice local after 5 miles i charge 1.25$ per mile
what happens if you show up on a tire change and they don't have a spare or you cannot change the tire for some reason do you still get paid?
Cool! Does agero require an LLC or is a DBA fine?
I think it would be considered GOA and you would only get paid partial
You'll get a goa rate IF you call and notify them. And you weren't 15 minutes or more late. Be aware a failed jump is the same thing. You provided the same service as if the jump succeeded yet get paid less because of their battery. Never seems fair. Why not complete the job? Or to replace their tire them take it to the nearest tire shop. Just make sure you quote the tire first.
A dba is acceptable. Most important and difficult requirement is the insurance. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions. Good luck!
Most likely a goa rate. There's a another's called non serviceable or something like that.

Im staeting today my own company $21 a call... I know is low but i was getting $15 working for someone else . Now im taking over all calls in my area... Thats what happens when u dont take care of ur contractors
Yikes, how will you hire with that type of rate ?
@@roadsidegenius not planning to hire. Its a solo bussines. I still gonna sell batteries and plug tires when posible
@roadsidegenius I know, I work for someone right now and the calls I get are 21 to 26 if it's tire changes. I only get 60% of the rate so I make less than that. Looking to start my own thing.
