  • This is the Ventus One with 28Kw (yes, 28!) out of the box. We give this new high powered "stock" bike a ride and review!
    This bike has the chassis of the 79 Bike Falcon M, but VTB put a new Battery, Motor, and Controller in it. This new powertrain puts an insane amount of power under this bike, coming in at a claimed 28Kw, and is available for purchase for less than $7K.
    VTB also sells these parts separately, for your existing bike! For more info check out our website here!

    Update: The version that will hit the USA market will be $6,999 and take about a month to get here. Ventus is estimating June 14th ETA. It will be configured with the 72v 50ah battery and motor capable of 27kw (like we rode) but likely tuned to 20kw out of the box. The production version will most likely have FastAce suspension and a 16" rear wheel, which is great news. All VTB power parts (motor, controller, and battery) are currently on our website and be available for pre-order later this week to fit Surron Light Bee and Ultra Bee + Talaria Sting MX3/MX4. Search VTB on our website to find the full list of parts.

    What good is all that power if it’s still using ebike designs? Linkage, frame, swingarm, linkage designs that break. It should be designed as a dirtbike first before the power. For example rocker linkages under the frame instead of the triangle and linkage that these ebikes have.

    • @ATICrossX

    • @ChargedCycleWorks
      @ChargedCycleWorks  2 месяца назад +4

      Valid point, but what bike in the #emoto market has that design to bolt this up? Ventus used a bike that exists today to launch their parts AND is popular enough in the small bike market to actually sell. If the small electric motorcycle category doesn't work for you, then an upgraded Ultra Bee or upcoming Dust Moto might be more suited to your needs. Keep in mind they'll cost you several thousand dollars more until you hit the Stark Varg price point.

      The thing about this is that these things are all based on the surron light bee X platform, a bike that (when stock) is designed to max out at 75kph, which is the top end of downhill mtb speeds. Its fine at those speeds but people push them WAY past that limit without upgrading the frame and suspension.

I've got it narrowed between the EBMX 9000 with the EBMX motor, or a Torp TC500/1000 with a Torp motor. The more reviews I watch the harder time I have choosing. Cate to put your thumb on the scale? Once you go past 10 kw the belt starts skipping teeth so not only can you not put power down but the belt will eventually fail. I hate how you guys kept saying "its too fast". Its too fast for that track, not to mention its crappy brakes and suspension. Riders like myself use bikes like this to commute to and from work, so keeping up / staying with traffic is good and ultimately preferred. Without talking about laws and legislations, something being "fast" is objectional, and its up to the individual whether something is too fast or not. Other than that, great video!

    • @BrianLampright913
      @BrianLampright913 2 месяца назад

      Just keep in mind that if you can accelerate that fast you also need to be able to stop fast and that requires good brakes and tire grip. Especially for pavement riders in traffic where consequences can be deadly.

    So let me get this straight. Ventus bult a 28kw powered bike and it's safety features are cheap parts like the brakes and suspension. If the bike parts can't handle the power, seems like a serious lawsuit in Ventus's future. Lets go with the parts list that needs to be replaced right out of the box. Suspension $3000, Rims and tires, $1500, Brakes, $1000 And a bike with that much power It should stock come with a Chain drive. $100. $5600 in safety parts they cheaped out on. I can understand cheapen out but the brakes, come on you need brakes That's a must . Other than that the only thing I don't like about the bike is the headlight. I like it has different modes to which other bikes don't have but having them on the light itself to me is not good for me. I'd rather have them on the bars where they are easily accessable.

    Maybe also add a lockable slider/ rotary encoder knob for a variable balance point as that will differ from rider to rider.

    Why do they just keep adding power to these shitty little bikes when all they need is brakes and suspension, their just really fast death traps

      Suspension, Brakes, and Wheels are KEY upgrades that should definitely be added before power

    This much power on a toy bike like this with 19" wheels is a joke. If you have $7k into a bike, get a used KTM 300 and at least have safe brakes, wheels, suspension,

      The reason I am looking for something like this is so I dont have to deal with my 240 lb rocket fueled 2 wheel jet and its air filters and its trans oil. 100 lbs lighter, no noise, no air filter, no stinky expensive race fuel. And all I ride in is sand down here in Fl. this would be a great light weight fun toy.

      @@catmanflorida2839 I totally get that but they are juicing the drive train up on these things while still having the parts of a toy bike. This is dangerous and means endless upgrades as you own the bike. For $7k, there are other electric options that appear to be more robust.

    frame-wise, another surron ripoff. Gadget-wise, looks cool. You can put an 1000 hp engine on a VW Golf tho but that doesn't make it a good car. I own a surron and a stark but the components on these bikes are absolute crap man, I wouldn't trust this frame, pegs, forks and everything else with a 28kw. My 2c, I don't know why the focus so much on power and power alone. On a side note, competition is always welcome, esp for us consumers, so let's hope they start pushing out quality too.
