- First, the vindication, now the compensation: the victims of the infected blood scandal have suffered for decades.

Now the government is promising urgent payments this summer for people living with infections, and the first full payments for those infected and affected by the end of the year.
Of the 30,000 people given contaminated blood, more than 3,000 have already died.

Why months? It’s not like they are doing anything the country wants doing.
The months are needed so that the Tories can hold the election and leave the compensation payments for Labour to deal with. In 1974 Margaret Thatcher covered it up, so the NHS could not be sued for compensation which the Tories would be forced to pay as the NHS is publicly owned.

That's why the nhs is good and bad. It's practically free.

Far worse is the compensation scheme that would effect the tax payers and not medical staff and the government that were involved. Right now it should be an eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth scheme, skipping the compensation scheme because the tax payers have nothing to do with this blood fetish experiments conducted by the government and the medical staff.
