In this video:
21:25 Demo
My wife, Marilee won a 6-set box of QoR watercolors at the Watercolor Society of Indiana's March meeting.. Since I never used this brand of paints from Golden I thought I would take it for a test drive.

I enjoyed watching this not only for the product test but the way he painted. He is so brave with colour that it was wonderful the way it all came together. It taught me that I must be more confident and that just because it is water colour doesn’t mean you can’t use it with little water to create the wonderful darks. I love his relaxed manner too. Thank you for posting.

Couldn't agree more about using quality paint and paper. I've only been at it a little over a year. Started with a dollar store paint kit lol. Ive been using Daniel Smith and Arches #140 cp lately. What a difference! I'm now addicted to buying watercolor pallettes and brushes lol. I really enjoyed your explanations and look forward to watching many more...Btw, I just got back from the U.P. In down near Kalamazoo.
Beautiful 🎨
Beautiful
Jorge Lozano thank you very much.
I really like this video very very beautiful
Thank you so much 😀
They are both beautiful but in the Talens one if a hansa yellow deep were available it would have shown that vibrancy. I loved the show of green in it(I know it’s a sketch) but I have spent some serious time with Qor and it doesn’t play nice do to the different chemical with some of my other artist brands. It certainly is beautiful but it likes to move way fast through the watercolor as compared to the ox gall liquid. I suppose one could have just a complete set of the Qor and just use that also. I thought I would send my greetings and salutations even though it is an older video. And hey I struggle with the 300lb Indigo paper and if you were closer I would give you my sheets. I am just plan Jane Jennie. Take care.
The paper was a brighter white also perhaps?
Also qor’s quinacridone magenta is so bright and vibrant it’s no joke
It may be vibrant but you can always gray the color back but you can't increase the vibrancy. So how have you used the color?
Dale L Popovich IWS I love using the quinacridone magenta watered down as the first layers of a pink flower! And neutralizing the quinacridone magenta with phthalo green blue shade from dark blacks and blues. And lastly mixed with burnt umber it makes really beautiful pinky browns
Oh my gosh the part about the toothbrush had me laughing on the floor
I have been using the toothbrush for years but once in a while I don't remove all of the paint and when my wife gives me a big cobalt blue smile!
Did you experience any drying shift?
Nothing more than any other professional brand. Thanks for asking El Paso Mark
This is just marketing or you are an amateur, I would do better with Van Gogh colors and just imagine Rembrandt.
