Like is it just me or is the SoundPaint team in a whole "another" level with the ENTIRE workflow from start to finish?!? Mind blown is an understatement, THANK YOU for being AWESOME!! 🎉💯🎉👏👏👊🙌😁👍
Its not just you Kevin. What you describe is the ethos of our development - to shorten the distance from thought to creation. But like ... for reals and with h(ear)t in every move. Cheers, Troels
Thank you Loco! Very humbling. I think a big part of this is the fact we are creating it for/to ourselves and together with you, our community. The downloader has been one of the most frequent community requests. So trying to make the entire experience of using the engine as seamless as possible. Something to warm our h(ear)ts. Cheers, Troels
Amazing update! With attack, I had a flashback to the Roland D-50 😊 but this is on another level! Thanks for making it easier to share sounds on the community.
Yes, I had forgotten he was involved in the creation of the sounds! Memory was so small and expensive then it was amazing what they accomplished. @@Soundpaintmusic
Love it. I am having more and more fun, thank you! Note: Humble Bundle has a big sale on loop packs (75 for $25 or somthing). I usually pass on these, but I scooped them up and am going to turn most of them into Soundpaint Instruments :). Carry on! Be like Prince and don't overthink!
I just joined the Soundpaint family this week and just the next day the app gets an amazing update with a great freebie!! Thanks!! Very happy with Adastra solo bundle and Chamber bundle! Best money spent last month!!!🙃
Thank you SO much Hugo! It is so sweet for us to hear stuff like this - as we are pouring everything we got into these releases! Thank you for supporting us. More soon!
Wow... the guy just have it crystal clear on what's he's doing. Such amazing melodies and chords, bro! Just came here because of a video from DashGlitch.
Oh wow!!! I was just getting ready to manually download about 42 files, which the 3.0 downloader didn't find automatically. And 3.1 took care of that issue for me; found them right away!!! AWESOME!!!😁❣
If you could chop samples in it and use different pitch algorithms, they would take over the game very fast. It would be some sort of hybrid beast. Haven't seen something like that, yet.
OMG DREAMS COME TRUE AGAIN AND AGAIN! Not long ago, I was hoping for the ability to download from within Soundpaint. Thanks for the consistent and ongoing iterative progress, it's tremendously inspiring - as is said, "speed is a feature".
Awesome, *Soundpaint* / Troels, I've never seen any other music production software isolate accent triggers, and then make them able to be combined with anything! Great video and update!
Soundpaint is absolutely fantastic and you guys are making it even better and better!! Truly great work. Thank you sou much!! All the best wishes from Berlin!!
Hello Troels, in the last year I`d wrote to you at any times, it would be nice and helpful, when a direct download function in the plugin is available, without to need a second program, like so. You have agreed, that that`s a good idea. Aaaand, VOILA... you have done it! I can`t thank you enough for all your work and time for us. Best regards from Germany, Daniel.
Thank you Blue Eyed Cat (my real flamepoint kitty is blue eyed btw). The downloader has been in the works for many months - and it is kinda funny that ... what is so simple on the surface - is equally complex to develop. But now we have it. Its simple. Fast. So we can focus more on what its all about. Making beautiful waveforms. Cheers, T
Thank you very much ! Soundpaint is really a great instrument. But considering all its powerful features, it really deserves to be polyphonic aftertouch compatible. Personally, I think I would have a lot more libraries if that were the case
I love Soundpaint. Don't get me wrong, I still use other multi-samplers like DirectWave, Zampler, MSoundFactory, SampleTank, Kontakt, Decent Sampler, Fruity Soundfont Player, etc.- and yet, I find myself more and more reaching for soundpaint first above others. Anyway, great update. I'm very excited to see what the future holds. You guys seem very passionate about sampling and sound design.
Awwww - Thx Dave. We are still surprised how much these little initial sounds affects the entire perception of the sound. Psychoacoustics is fascinating!
I will say with Soundpaint instruments I load up the default instruments and almost never have to do any tweaking. Not sure what SP does under the hood but it is quite amazing.
Thanks for noticing. We spent years on building our own audio format, which generates new samples in real-time. This means dynamic instruments have 127 discrete velocity layers. Its hard to put in tangible terms, but can be felt when using the engine. Its super geeky stuff, but if you are curios to read more about it - feel free to check this out: soundpaint.com/pages/technology Cheers Troels
Amazing! you are doing Gods work. You know what I would love to have... when i load up Soundpaint, I want everything to be recorded as a midi file. Something I can open uip later in the DAW. When Im in performance mode and just feeling it, quite often i capture magic and then I need to try and re-create it later. I wanna get all those performances whenver im playing.
Sorry to hear that. Ping us at support@soundpaint.com and/or ping us on Discord and/or Live Chat, so we can figure out what happened. Should be seamless!
The new updater is cool but ... what if you want to remove a library and delete the files? I see no way other than delete the folder from outside and resync the libraries.
Anyone know since the editor and downloader are now included in the update if we can delete the former previous 3.1 Soundpaint apps /editor and downloader ? Thanks
Assuming you are using the sample editor (second icon upper left looks like a pen). Once you have imported your sample(s) into the editor - go to file > generate part. The part will now be saved and you will be able to find it under User Samples > Parts. Soundpaint has both Factory Parts (icon upper left > three books) and User Parts (icon upper left > person). You will find your own samples under User Parts.
Thank you it works now. One problem I have run into is the samples I load in have a panning problem where the sample auto pans more to left and the gain is lower. Has anyone else noticed this when dragging and dropping samples?
It's really frustrating when there is an already existing industry standard term for something and a company sells it like its new, "Accents"?? for God sakes, even a noob producer would at least have heard someone say impulse response, please educate me as to what differs from a convolution verb player? I love the free program, even better if you had made it open source, however, I don't know anything at the end of the day, but to me changing words to sound new is counterproductive to the already dizzying mire of learning to produce/ play music. Keep designing new stuff though, I'm just a healthy critic of music and its making :)
This has nothing to do with convolutions. Accents is a specific category of sampled sounds, which are designed to be superimposed on others. In Soundpaint we operate with what we call Attack and Release triggers, which are all sample based triggers designed to enhance instruments. Highly encourage you to watch the specific walkthrough of our Guitar Triggers to understand the concept in depth: ruclips.net/video/D38YZeZpNR8/видео.htmlsi=XKDMUNGiQtNTMvCR In regards to convolution reverb and impulses we are working on that, but that is unrelated to our Accents instruments, which are all sampled based and designed to augment existing instruments or in some cases be instruments on their own.
Great ….now you can easily create a Libary for drums, bass, keys etc with different attacks and decays/release to expand ones sound ))))))))) …..imagine morphing round robins of different attacks for super hybrid instruments 🎸 🎸🥁🪇🪗🎺🪈🪕🪘🎷 , that meld into hyper fluid dynamic expressive instruments coupled with the deep sampling velocities 🤯

nobody impresses me more with what they're doing in the music software space and how they do it than freaking Troels and the Soundpaint team.

Ah yes Andreiev - thats a great observation! The early (and resourceful) days of sampling. Hats off to Persing for spearheading that too.

this is such an underrated library...can't wait to dive into it again.
Bravo! This product was created by musicians for musicians! I'm with you!

Thanks so much for this fantastic update to SP and for the free Accent Guitar Trigger library... Keep up the amazing work. Blessings, MaxT
Thx Max!

I found this VST at the right time with these new additions, great versatility & uniqueness.
Thanks Tony! 🙏🏻
Really like the attack realease idea
Thx Pickled! The little things that matters.

Yay Chef! Glad to hear it!

So Powerful , May God Bless Soundpaint team
Thank you! Means a lot to us!
Troels, Absolutely incredible software interface update for Soundpaint 3.1 !!! 🔥🔥🔥 I just purchased Symphonic Shadows 2, Majestic Percussion, and Dunescape 2 !
Thank you so much for believing in us Electro. So sweet to see messages like this! 🍻 Troels
Thanks for the cool updates.
fantastic update , accent guitar trigger is just amazing ! big thx to Soundpaint team , Brilliant !!

Totally agree and this will be the year for that 👆
thank you. That is a very good news 👍
I'm glad everyone is doing this nowadays

This is SO nice! Thank you!
1) That guitar trigger brushed rhode... Mm-MMmmmm.... 2) THANKS for the new functionality! 3) the upcoming user-samples feature.... 🤯

You are so welcome! 😘😘😘

Nice updates. However, it crashed my Mac when trying to save an imported sample set.
Sorry to hear that. Ping us at support@soundpaint.com and/or ping us on Discord and/or Live Chat, so we can figure out what happened. Should be seamless!
hi , can I store library's/ sounds on a external drive? thnx
Yes - and on as many external drives as you want

Is it possible to use multiples velocity samples ?
Hey so loading a sample in, dragged and dropped, set loop points. How do I send this to Soundpaint and save after?
Thank you!

Am i allowed to make soundpaint tutorials, sound design video’s on youtube?
Love the update😉... I've noticed that all of my libraries are doubled in the dropdown list. How can I correct this ?
Hmmmm - ping us at support@soundpaint.com and/or reach out on Discord or LiveChat. Something sounds like its off.
@@Soundpaintmusicok, thanks 😉
Solved. Just deleted & re-installed 😉👍
A offline versión could be great to people Who doesnt want to be connected to internet.
I spent $85 on the brass and woodwinds and is still useless. There is no way i can record and feel these instruments like real. Im sad.
How come? What is the actual problem? Please advise, share your experience. Just spent 150 have not tried it yet
