I just realized... Satoko is the first actual HUMAN with a physical body to enter that realm (that we know of). Rika has always died and left her physical body in the same fragment she died in (we usually see her consciousness talking with Hanyuu in the sea of fragments) and Hanyuu was always a spirit. Unless only Satoko’s consciousness was ported over, I’m pretty sure she’s the first to do it.

It’s hinted in the Umineko games Featherine created the Higurashi game in the first place, so I’m not surprised she’d turn up.
I’d also like to state, it’s hinted in the games the only reason Higurashi looped is ‘cause Featherine wanted Rika to succeed but Takano’s wish made certain by Lambdadelta created a ‘Logic Error’.
Featherine’s stories almost always get the outcomes that she wants but certainty vs certainty is impossible, so brute forcing it (looping) was the only way to win, If I remember correctly Featherine is stubborn and cruel, so she will to let people suffer just to get a win even if she grows to not care in the end.

I know Bernkastel is Featherine's piece but I'm not sure why she would confront Satoko? I was expecting Lambda to grant her the power of certainty there, given that Takano no longer receives it. So why would she want her own piece to lose..?

Myuugi's power is to automatically erase anything that bears the slightest ill-will against her from the upper log domain, which is where every information is stored, unconsciously. Featherine at least still needs to be conscious to write or fix her story. Not gonna talk about demonbane thought because its power is too long to explain (and I don't know much about it)

I really to think she somehow survived within Lambdadelta...

I mean I’m fine with this development, I do think it’s better for this story if Satoko becomes Lambda and Rika becomes Bern instead of saying “Muhaha I LambdaDelta a character that new viewers and people who haven’t read Umineko have no knowledge of was the real villain all along and I was the puppet master!!!” I feel this is Rika’s and Satoko’s story, not Rika’s and Lambda’s.

However, they never opened up a Kickstarter to actually fund it when they said they would. It's been 2 years since their last contact with the community, and still no updates or any signs of this project actually making it to production stage. So although I love the Umineko franchise like it was my own child, I'd take a pessimistic approach and say our favourite Island mansion won't be seen again in a very long time. If ever :(

Eua and Auaurora (Fetherine Augustus Aurora) are not the same witch. I think in an interview, Ryukishi07 mentioned that he intended for Eua's appearance, witch title and manner of speech to be an easter egg for fans of Umineko. Though, this relationship between Eua and Satoko seems to be a parallel between Auaurora and Lambdadelta's relationship, as described in the Umineko TIP, "Whose Tea Party?".

So the Satoko that became a looper met Eua in the same timeline Rika beats Takano but Satoko never died, she just got sent back to 1983. What happened to the Rika in that timeline? Did she die? Isn't she the Rika we've been following for the past few seasons? If she didn't die, that would mean Satoko has been following a different Rika right? Can anyone clear this up for me?

Judging by what we've been given so far, here's my (possibly wrong) theory:
Satoko most likely wished to go back to Hinamizawa so that she could spend more time with Rika and not have to go to St. Lucia. However, Featheriene rewrote the events of the original series, which causes events that wouldn't normally happen to take place. Satoko also happens to be a victim of the murders, so everytime she dies she loops back in time like Rika does. Satoko is eventually (mis)lead to believe that these things are happening because "Oyashiro-sama" is angry with Rika for leaving the village and thinks the whole thing can be stopped if she carries out the ritual sacrifices, when in reality Featherine is just leading her on.
And I am honestly convinced now that Satoko wasn't originally intending on killing Satoko. She didn't really seem that bitter towards Rika, but more about the fact that her friendship with Rika is drifting apart and that she can't seem to keep up with the way thing around her change. But somehow her wish for normalcy spiraled out of her control.

Umineko takes part in the same world of Higurashi. In the vn of umineko they show us details about some witches. The interesting part is that they seem to have a relation with Higurashi. You don't need read Umineko to undertand higurashi, it is just that people who have read both can see those details.

this both puts a hole in my theory, and the theory of others. this would serve to conclude satoko was not the opponent hanyu was going against. and as for my theory, going on the heavily implied basis that hanyu is featherine, then why would featherine intervene with a solved mystery and prolounge the logic error she abandoned rika in?
i think my revision to the theory is that featherine and hanyu are like lambda and miyo. its purely for the sake of red herring that they are so similar. we know that hanyu abandoned rika at the start of gou, and we know that rika's master did that too based off of what lambda said in umineko. If featherine and hanyu are too seperate people, a lot of pieces go together. an issue i always took with umineko's implication was that featherine, a which stronger than almost everyone we have seen, would have logic errored herself. it seems just too stupid for her to do.
So on that basis, it would make a lot more sense that featherine logic errored her opponent, hanyu. Hanyu's personality alone already make it easy to believe she would get logic errored as is. and if hanyuu was a piece version of featherine similar to erika, the idea that she peaced out like she did does not really make sense to me.
finally if featherine was the opponent, and is trying to ensure her win when rika seemingly solved the logic error, then of course she would intervene and get satoko to continue the loop.
the biggest hole in this i see is that the answer to my question "why would featherine intervene with a solved mystery and prolounge the logic error she abandoned rika in?" could just be, because featherine is extremely sadistic and felt like it. as a witch, and the theatre goer no less, this would not be out of character. but i still find my theory very plausible.

Just saying also, Higurashi has nothing to do with Umineko other than the fact umineko holds every fiction in existense and non existence in the City of Books and higurashi just happens to be one of them
it'd be kinda blunt to put it like that since there are clear allusions to certain witches from umineko and characters/pieces from higurashi

This isn't just one company making a new anime to milk the series, this anime was wrote by Ryukishi himself who is responsible for the script, so it's canon to the When They Cry universe. Also do we need to mention that even the og Higurashi was connected to Umineko, as being one of the many gameboards played by Lamptadelta and Bernkastel? So your point now being?
@@Alex-qi8rq exactly my point. Higurashi is just one of the fictional stories within the COB that exists. There is an infinite other fictional stories that exist which don't necessarily have to be affilated with 07th expansion in general
