The most badass part of Umineko that is so obscure for me is the Ushiromiyas legit imprinting their cool-ass family emblem to every member's clothing articles and having legit rules and regulations on who is allowed to don them. Like if I met Rosa in the office and I saw her pants had this one-winged eagle I would be so damn interested like wow
Eva has the family emblem tatooed on her. This simple design choice makes you realize very quickly how much she wants to be the heir of the family, and how much she resents Krauss
The episode 5~6 opening it DE BEST for me. After being fucked, humiliated and tormented like a ragdoll being dragged in the mud for four episodes, finally we get to actually start fighting, and the music is a perfect opening for the beginning of the battle.
and every opening spoils a bit more. what's up with these openings and spoiling eva beatrice? it's like they think it's the same 5 people that read the og novel who buy the newest versions. mind you, this isn't a knock on ryukishi or the series or anything, I love it fiercely and all but I find it a curious choice.

Spoilers Taking info account that ep3 was one of Tohya’s forgeries, his way of portraying Kyrie was probably inspired by the Battler’s family culprit version, where Rudolf and Kyrie are just horrible people, so it’s probably Tohya reminiscing even with amnesia.

PS3 op 1 (2010) is the GOAT!!! That op made me read umineko manga. The chorus is the most beautiful chorus i have ever heard. This op creates perfect Beatrice 's mystery and battler's heroic aspect visible.
The last song isn't PS3. Its a PS4 games that include all episode from 1-8. Moreover, it’ll include two new stories from Umineko Saku (PC). Which features new character Flauros the demon, and the “Last note of the Golden Witch” which features another new character, Piece, the Witch of Pieces.
There is also the opening for Saku on the Nintendo Switch, which became my favorite specially because it kinda sounds similar to Analogy, the opening for Higurashi Sotsu.
i remember how umineko was one of my first few animes a few years down the line & i just remembered how magical it was to listen to it's opening. i didn't know it was still continuing, I'm thinking of getting back into it now!
Visual novel. The anime was REAL bad compared to it, and only covered the first half (and only about 25% of that due to all the sped up and missing scenes from it)
Idk what u have done since this comement since it was over a year ago but you should play/watch the vn (visual novel) if you want to experience umineko! i highly recommend jokoronos playthrough on youtube :D
the Knox rules in the Saku opening go so hard, especially with how many of them match up with the episode they go with-'all supernatural/preternatural agencies are ruled out' for ep2, 'not more than one secret passage is allowable' for ep3, 'the detective must not commit the crime' for ep6 (lmao) which i had to slow the video down to even read
I love how the OG openings are tame and don't reveal much, then the PS3 openings have plenty of spoilers, but then they went "Screw it" and spoiled even the last few minutes of the story in the Switch version
I highly recommend not reading the manga first. The manga is well made, but it's more of an extra for people who have already read/played the visual novel. The anime is terrible for many reasons (except the opening, which is distilled awesome! ) not least of which is that the writers were as bamboozled as 99% of the rest of us were in the first half of the story.

While the PS3 sprites are still my favourite, I do feel the original convey character's feelings well. Ryukishi isn't an amazing artist, but he knows how to get his point across.
it's weird how i ended up disappointed and slightly disgusted with umineko back in like....2010? and i still think overall this was a failed experiment, but some of the parts are so good that every few years i come back to this poorly-paced mess with the worst culprit/motive i think i've ever seen
