i´ve started to watch this just because i heard the name once and saw one scene with esdeath, but felt so drawn into it, man this hit hard. really this first show I ever felt emotionally affected by, especially this first outro with the mirror breaking - that's a scene I´ll never forget. the ending was so hard to watch through, the pain..
This is one of the best anime I've ever watched , I just loved everything, they made every character so unique and I just loved them all for different reasons. I wish it had a second season and it was more popular it clearly deserves more. (It the first anime I ever watched and I still love it and rewatch it :) )

Read the Manga because They missed out on alot of character development and spammed death way too quickly,the anime skipped a lot of stuff that was in the manga, because the chapters come out so slowly. You should definitely go read the manga and the manga is significantly darker than the anime.
