i saw this anime 4 years ago, ive rewatched it now, and i remembered how much of an insane emotional attachment i have to filament. judging by other comments, turns out i'm not the only one
this was one of the first anime i watched. since then, i've watched hundreds over 12 years or so, and am big into reviewing media. despite its flaws, this anime holds a concrete place in my heart. it has all the things i love and it's just great. im not sure why, but i look at this anime with such emotion and nostalgia. thank you Sakae Esuno!
i haven't watched many myself but this one was definitely special and i can't point out why, the setting/story is definitely unique -i agree with your about section by the way-

I'm 23 and I almost lost my interest in animes but this is still my favourite anime. The one who made me an hardcore fan of Psychological Thriller genre(After this, I watched Death Note). And Yuno Gasai is still my Goddess 😏
The story of the anime talks about love. And Yukiteru says "I loved her because she were with me". If you watched the series almost the entirety of the series Yukiteru despised Yuno because she were a murderer. You guys shouldn't say that Yuno is your goddess. What i am trying to say is live your life to the fullest and when you find someone say that you love them. Be right beside them. I know this may sound a little dull but you can create your Yuno. This story talks about Yukiteru's Yuno. The genders may switch since every girl in this planet also considered as humans.
