This movie is so underrated, I think people were just still high on how perfect the Dark Knight was to appreciate this.
Kinda hard to say a movie that made over a billion $ and is one of the most popular DCU movies ever is underrated...
@@donnieboughton1730 I’m more speaking of the critical response of a lot of people saying they didn’t like it. The money it made us just an indication that people payed to see it, not whether they liked it.
@@keemg10 well you also can't say because people don't like a movie that is underrated... if they don't like it, they don't like it. And it also has a 90% audience score on rotten tomato... so again, not getting where you are saying it's underrated...
@@keemg10 I did think and still think that it's very entertaining but it did have some pretty massive plot holes and absurdities. Hell Vince even pointed one of them out..unarmed police charging automatic weapons in an open street was straight up ridiculous. But it ultimately did it's job to entertain. Nolan films are so fast paced sometimes it's hard to notice the straight up shenanigans he gets away with on screen.
@@joeberger3441 I agree that was ridiculous and this movie has some issues. I just always hear people talk about how bad this movie is and I think it's a bit extreme. It reminds me of The Last of Us 2 rhetoric. Even if you didn't like the story, some people go to the extreme of giving it a 5/10.
I think this movie is an underrated masterpiece. And the wrap-up at the end - the final 5 mins - never fails to provide a powerful emotional gutpunch

I did think and still think that it's very entertaining but there WERE some pretty big plot holes/ absurdities in it. Hell Vince even pointed that out during the police charge (which was absolutely ridiculous.. unarmed cops would never rush automatic weapons in an open street). Nolan films have such a fast pace that it's hard to notice them right away though. And I think that is by design.

The whole trilogy is stellar and the best incarnation in my opinion. Nolan really nailed it.

@@blue_ig1 - You can really make a case for any of his movies (The Prestige ending just about guarantees a second watch), but without jumping back in and rewatching all of them, The Dark Knight ending will always give me the the highest chills.

Did y'all also see that when Bruce climbed out of the underground prison at 31:57, that he tossed down the rope to the other prisoners to help them all escape?? That was great of him!!
That bit where Bruce tells Gordon who he is always gets me choked up; Batman was Gotham's hero, and Gordon was Bruce's.
Letting prisoners escape doesn’t really seem like a very Batman thing to do. haha

As a kid growing up with the OG Batman movies with Michael Keaton, the Dark Knight Trilogy stole my heart in my late teens into my 20s. This ending always draws emotions. Like you said Batman always is a symbol of hope. Through all the pin and suffering he finds the strength to push on.
Great job on reacting to this trilogy. I wish we got to see what a Robin continuation off of this movie would’ve looked like.

Same when my dad was little he LOVED Batman and Superman. And all super heros in general. Whenever I mentioned a super hero he'd smile and that always made me happy. We've been watching this series and it's amazing. (And like all marvel lol) like you said amazing reaction guys keep it up!
I love this adaptation of Bane and the League. I like how Nolan handles super human abilities as well, see his version is just Humans who have pushed their bodies to the brink and appear to be almost unreal to those they encounter. In Bane's case its perpetual agony from a botched surgery paired with being born and raised in a prison in the dark.
Yeah, Noland did a great job of presenting Bane as an absolute brick.

Good parallel with Bruce, who finds it very painful trying to live life without his mask. Bane has worn his mask for so long that taking it off would cause him unbearable agony, and it has become his face.

But that's not Nolan, it is the characters. I mean Batman have never had superpowers, he's just what u see in this movie: a really good person with impressive inner strength to overcome difficulties, both mental and physical ones.
I watch alot of reactors, and batman is my absolute favorite superhero...this was my one of the best, most enjoyable reactionsive seen from anyone....Keep the energy the both of ya

My favorite reaction of the dark knight rises out here on RUclips hands down. It’s nice to see good people thoroughly enjoying an awesome under-appreciated masterpiece like this. So many people nitpick this film to no end. By the end credits, if a movie makes you feel THIS way, then it’s obviously doing something right.
That ending is bananas! Soooo much happens in the last few minutes and if you aren't watching carefully, it can be hard to understand. I saw the movie three times in the theaters it was so good! I'm a huge Batman fan and I think Nolan hit it out of the park with his trilogy! To me, that and Batman the Animated Series are the DEFINITIVE Batmans!
Thank you for doing the full trilogy and not listening to the haters that inevitably exist for this movie…

I absolutely love this movie and a trilogy as a whole. In the original writing, I believe Joker was supposed to be back, but unfortunately Heath had already passed.
In the novelization, The Joker is still alive and still in Arkham Asylum. When Bane's men released everyone out of Blackgate and Arkham, they purposely left him imprisoned.
I love how everyone always assumes the child is bane when he said “I didn’t see the light until I was a man”
I know that there are many people who have mixes feelings about this film, but I thought this a great concluding chapter of a wonderful franchise!
It's less perfect than the previous 2, but it's probably one of the most quotable movies I've ever seen in my life.

There are only 3 directors that I would defintiely go watch whatever movie they make without knowing a thing about it. Chris Nolan is one of them. Watching this in the theater was beyond awesome. It sucks you guys never got to experience that.

I’m so glad you guys had such a good time with these movies! As comic fans we don’t often get very good “complete” stories with a beginning, middle and end, because these characters have to keep on living indefinitely. But the Nolan trilogy gave us a great, contained story that can stand on its own, and you guys came in fresh so the experience is that much better. Thanks for the great videos!
The dark knight trilogy is definitely one of the greatest movie series ever. In the end it's Robin who finds the batcave. I always wanted them to make a batman beyond type movie series with Bruce Wayne old as the Alfred. The cartoon follows Terry but I wouldn't mind seeing a little exploration of Robin
Gordon is a real one. He is the one to stay with Batman to the end. Even when bad guys capture gordon or something he tanks that punishment.

I feel like Blake will end up as Nightwing rather than Batman. All the inferences suggested he could be Robin, but since Robin is really only ever Batman's sidekick, a smooth transition to Nightwing would fit better in Nolan's world (especially since Blake is so much older). He seems to be a mash up of most of the Robin characters in the comics-Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and Jason Todd (clearly not Damian Wayn- son of Bruce and Talia al Ghul- or Stephanie Brown)
Except Gordon finds a new Bat signal on top. Signifying a new Batman.
they actually say it in the movie, theres a scene where a front desk lady tells him he should use his real name cause she like it, "robin"
Just to clarify he wasn’t going to be the new Batman at the end, he is Robin but I believe he was gonna be the next version of Robin, Night Wing.

Finale of a legendary trilogy. While some of his dialogue is hard to understand, I doubt we'll ever see a better rendition of Bane outside of the comics.
I think you didn't even notice that the young cop who now takes over Batman's work, his middle name is Robin. This was also revealed at the end.

i always liked how the final battle started. Bane and his militia are totally confident, police slowly approach (morale barely hanging by a thread). then Batman shows up and re-ignites a fire inside the police that makes them desire to take back their city.

The league of shadows are so dangerous and crazy that they would kill themselves for the cause. Talia was willing to blow herself up along with everyone else and that guy in the beginning was willing to let himself die in that plane crash
