As a diy at home guy, it amazes me youre doing a swap on the floor in the garage, I wish I had a friend with your knowledge. Keep up the great videos and good info
your the best man nobody spends there time teaching jdm enthusiast how build this type of emgine or be as detail as possible thanks man cause of you i feel i know what im doing now and learned something
Hola, saludos desde santa marta-colombia, gracias a tus videos puedo desarrollar mi proyecto B20 vtec, que poco a poco voy sacando adelante, perdón por no escribir en inglés, saludos y espero que sigan subiendo videos.
hey thanks for the video. i bought an 94 LS and the timing was fucked beyond belief but the car ran. your video helped me correct and tighten it properly and now it runs smooth as butter. much love bro.
Thanks for showing the world the proper way to time a vehicle. You have answered so many theories I had in my head with your step by step videos. You and your brand are really cool. Keep up the videos ill def be watching. By the wall yall are HILARIOUS with your southern talk haha
Going over the coolant lines helped me a ton. I'm currently b16 swapping my Del Sol and all I really have left is to run the coolant and vacuum lines. I was a little lost how everything went. Actually still am a bit.
Any tips or write up for beginners? I'm building a motor from scratch and I need all the misc pieces like hose etc or can i reuse the stuff that's on my GSR motor?
I have always bypass the cooler lines going through the throttlebody. Down here in Florida we have enough heat. Never seemed like a good idea to run hot coolant through my cold air intake throttlebody
How tight should the tensioner bolt be before you rotate the motor anti clockwise three teeth? I did every you said but I accidentally went 4 teeth instead and my belt a kinda loose but I’m not here any weird noise though
@hondastreetgarage the easiest way to get those cam caps off after you take the bolts out, is to lightly tap them side to side with a rubber mallet. Alot safer and faster then tryna wiggle them around with a screwdriver
So i saw you didnt do anything with the oil pump or return line doesnt that affect how long its gonna last because the oil feed stuff doesnt shoot enough oil pressure for the vtec head? Input?
Yeah man that crank key is crucial!! I stuck mine in a skate bearing container when I did my oil pump water pump and timing belt recently. Such a tiny piece but your engine is useless without it.
What basemap will run a stock b20vtec good like GSR? Until a tune? So if doing a stock build b20 VTEC and not changing pistons to raise cr should we use the 9:6:1 or the 9:2:1 or the 8:8? For power no boosting...
Liked and subscribed just have 1 question b20 vtec what intake were you using and next man putting that timing belt install was so awesome I could never get the slack out of the belt awesome peace
I'm a diesel mechanic that works on Kawasaki 135 loaders, Kamatsu WA800, and Cat 992 loaders so with my tools that crank pulley bolt would be no challenge, unless it was installed with red lock tight and broke .
love it I'm wanting to get a b20v for my DA well a b16 head lol, but for the water pump did you just go into the store and ask for a 22 teeth water pump?
Does it matter what side u put the dowel pins on? Most kits say ex side. Jw cuz I’m doing a LS v and I can fit the standard dowels on the intake side but not the ex side my head must be drilled out. It was LS v before I got it.
instead of swapping the thermostat housing to the b18 item, Could you not leave the b20 housing on and bypass the coolant hose that goes the throttle body to tidy up the mess of hoses at the back of the engine and have lower intake temperatures, not that you would gain any hp from doing good so.
I have a question if I use a high compression b20 block with a b18 type r head. It is necessary to change the pistons. so that they do not hit the valves?
here is my 2 question question one that B20 look like was automatic transmission question 2 i think you never put the B20 in top dead center before you remove the Head
Quick question for an body who knows I have a b20v just swapped it I have it tuned for b20v head tapped and all the basic but one problem when I floor it and come to stop wants to turn off someone said it’s rod knock or is it cause I forgot to clean the head after tapping it and it got clogged
i keep get the engine head lift i dont understand why im running stock map i dont know why my fuel regulator is reading 50 psi and i dont feel any detonation or back fire, also my heads been worked on the mill i believe this raises compression but not sure any tips
please if you could reply with feed back.. also my b20 already has arp head studs are they head specific? or can I use them though I don't have the part number I bought the engine "rebuilt" but it burns oil or blows smoke on start up I'm thinking a valve seal but idkt
hey bud I've been following you're channel since day one but I wanted to know if you could do a video on a radiator support on a 92-95 civic coupe because I have a civic I need to know how to do this
I have a 99 civic ek had a b16 vtec motor on it swap it with a b20 vtec gsr head came off and 92 eg hatchback Honda so I use my wire hardness from the b16 and dizzy to fit the wire hardness and use my ecu from my b16 it runs n drives fine but the only problem is I still got a check engine light and my alternator don’t charge up the battery to keep the car running it only last up to 20 minutes then the car turns off need help to get my car running
hey I have a b20b4 in my integra and im trying to remove my ac I also have PS too if I remove my AC and ac belt compressor will there be a problem I;ve been wanting to remove it for the longest but kinda sketchy about running into problems in other words can i remove my AC and AC belt, compressor with any problems thanks in advance and more future likes and subs
thank you so much too so much weight off my chest I was hella worried but thanks again and more future like and subs keep up the great work you guys do.
so I removed my ac and all im wondering do I still need my torque mount that's on the ac bracket??? do I need to put the ac bracket back in with the torque mount????? thanks in advance
Cat Tran I did this my self on my channel check it out , but yes you should leave the bracket and your torque mount because that helps keeping your engine in place its like a hand you are fine with 4 fingers but you are better with 5
As a diy at home guy, it amazes me youre doing a swap on the floor in the garage, I wish I had a friend with your knowledge. Keep up the great videos and good info
Road Worthy I need friend like that too where can I order those at
Same
your the best man nobody spends there time teaching jdm enthusiast how build this type of emgine or be as detail as possible thanks man cause of you i feel i know what im doing now and learned something

I’ve recently caught the bug and I’m going over your vids like I’m prepping for finals! D O P E!
Had to order one of your shirts. First time buying a shirt from someone on youtube. Couldn't pass up this badass design!
Just wanted to say that I’m thinking about building a b20 vtec and this video is super helpful and making me very excited to start the project.
I've done a few headgaskets on my GSR swapped ek, my favorite part is tensioning the tbelt after learning it from this video!
I would've been scared to do this myself, but after watching this, I feel more than comfortable doing this!!!👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks for showing the world the proper way to time a vehicle. You have answered so many theories I had in my head with your step by step videos. You and your brand are really cool. Keep up the videos ill def be watching. By the wall yall are HILARIOUS with your southern talk haha
Great video. The best part was the correct timing belt tensioning tutorial.
Going over the coolant lines helped me a ton. I'm currently b16 swapping my Del Sol and all I really have left is to run the coolant and vacuum lines. I was a little lost how everything went. Actually still am a bit.
I love your vids man, im glad i found this channel. Like the previous guy said, I wish I had a buddy like you with that same auto mechanic knowledge
Very nice thanks for the video, I'm doing my TB soon along with the tensioner and water pump
Hell yea see you at the chronicles meet!!
How tight should the tensioner bolt be before you rotate the motor anti clockwise three teeth? I did every you said but I accidentally went 4 teeth instead and my belt a kinda loose but I’m not here any weird noise though
Good to know B20 Vtec 👍🏽
@hondastreetgarage the easiest way to get those cam caps off after you take the bolts out, is to lightly tap them side to side with a rubber mallet. Alot safer and faster then tryna wiggle them around with a screwdriver
I love the snappy ratchet! And a dewalt 3/8s it’s all the same! I don’t slack on air tools tho...
your videos are the best .....most informative need to know things ..awesome man
Great video , great content!!!! Keep up the great videos dudes!!!!!
Man this is good so much questions Answered these vids are so dope 👍
Those pistons heads look quite happy lol!
So i saw you didnt do anything with the oil pump or return line doesnt that affect how long its gonna last because the oil feed stuff doesnt shoot enough oil pressure for the vtec head? Input?
wish you did k series! still im learning a shitload so keep up the great and amazingly clean work!
Yeah man that crank key is crucial!! I stuck mine in a skate bearing container when I did my oil pump water pump and timing belt recently. Such a tiny piece but your engine is useless without it.
That intro riff made me hit like immediately
Love the b20 looking to do a swap with my fiesta mk6 1.4 petrol will it b a straight swap and what wil i need thanks.
What basemap will run a stock b20vtec good like GSR? Until a tune? So if doing a stock build b20 VTEC and not changing pistons to raise cr should we use the 9:6:1 or the 9:2:1 or the 8:8? For power no boosting...
Hi what belt you using for b20 vtec
love the videos, this channel deserves a lot more subscribers
You make it look so easy
B18 or B20. I have heard both side and dont know what to go with! I plan on F/I later on.
New head gasket and timing done but acts like no comparison what could it be ?
On all cylinders? Timing. 1 cylinder? Check the vlaves.
What company did you buy that b20 from?
Did you machine the piston of the stock piston for the vtec
Liked and subscribed just have 1 question b20 vtec what intake were you using and next man putting that timing belt install was so awesome I could never get the slack out of the belt awesome peace
Good videos lot of info for me doing my b20v at home for first time
I'm a diesel mechanic that works on Kawasaki 135 loaders, Kamatsu WA800, and Cat 992 loaders so with my tools that crank pulley bolt would be no challenge, unless it was installed with red lock tight and broke .
So did you dyno and tune this engine after the install? and if so what numbers did you make with what upgrades?
What belt did u use? The blue gates GSR belt comes with a 125 and 126 tooth belts.
We want more type R cars videos!
love it I'm wanting to get a b20v for my DA well a b16 head lol, but for the water pump did you just go into the store and ask for a 22 teeth water pump?
quinton boffy Ask for a VTEC water pump
Does it matter what side u put the dowel pins on? Most kits say ex side. Jw cuz I’m doing a LS v and I can fit the standard dowels on the intake side but not the ex side my head must be drilled out. It was LS v before I got it.
Hi bro what is the different b16a3 and b16a which one is good cylinder head both of two
So I could use the stock b20b water neck piping but the thermostat unit has to be gsr/si?
instead of swapping the thermostat housing to the b18 item, Could you not leave the b20 housing on and bypass the coolant hose that goes the throttle body to tidy up the mess of hoses at the back of the engine and have lower intake temperatures, not that you would gain any hp from doing good so.
i love my b20 i wana vtec it soon 😁🔰
Did it have a mark on the oil pump or does it not have a balance shaft? Just curious :b
Hey you guys ever tried using Mineral Spirit for cleaning up dirty/grimy engine and transmissions?
What size timing belt did you use?? For the b20 block with b16 vtec head?
Quick question, what is that o-rings specific name that sits in the cylinder head between the two cams?
I have a question if I use a high compression b20 block with a b18 type r head. It is necessary to change the pistons. so that they do not hit the valves?
You seemed in a better mood unlike last time lol. Great video as always bro!
Where that boy Hayden at thoo
here is my 2 question question one that B20 look like was automatic transmission question 2 i think you never put the B20 in top dead center before you remove the Head
hey been watching your show think of doing b20z rebuild in ny crv its daily what do u think of evergreen rebuild kit its like 350..
Quick question for an body who knows I have a b20v just swapped it I have it tuned for b20v head tapped and all the basic but one problem when I floor it and come to stop wants to turn off someone said it’s rod knock or is it cause I forgot to clean the head after tapping it and it got clogged

i keep get the engine head lift i dont understand why im running stock map i dont know why my fuel regulator is reading 50 psi and i dont feel any detonation or back fire, also my heads been worked on the mill i believe this raises compression but not sure any tips
hello i have a 91 honda civic dx hatchback which I want to put a motor B16A question is can it? and if so where they have their garage

please if you could reply with feed back.. also my b20 already has arp head studs are they head specific? or can I use them though I don't have the part number I bought the engine "rebuilt" but it burns oil or blows smoke on start up I'm thinking a valve seal but idkt
