- When you have fine and/or thinning hair you have this crazy part that is driving you crazy. I will show you what I do that helps me.
My favorite product list for fine/thinning hair: www.tabithafhair.com/productl...

Sometimes I just want to shave my head 😕
It's so nice to actually see a video like yours as we are all not blessed with thick hair as most of the hair tutorials have...and you explain things so easy to follow ...thank you xxxx
Thank you💕
@@tabithafhair I see you posted something about hair fibres but do you know a vegan friendly brand 😑

This has helped me so much! Thank you
@@tabithafhair but isn't that thin hair over the top you can't do anything to it
You can use these hacks but that's not going to be permanent 😔
Appreciated! one of the real video which we fine hair people most face it. and you showed it well. Thumbs up!
Awww. Thank you😍
My hair splits in the back and it looks like a bald spot. Urgh.
Mine too, really bad.
Me too, and it's getting worse if anything:(
My hair splits in the back as well and is very fine in that area so I look bald there, it horrid
Same and I have curly hair. I hate it.
😭 same
Gee, I thought I was the only one with that problem. I usually have it first thing in the morning. Thanks for the video!
Ditto, & cowlick too! Love her!
Omg me too. Specially in the morning
Thank you! My hair is like this and i am 26 and i get embarrassed nice to see someone who actually has the same hair type as me on RUclips ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
I have finally found a video on RUclips that is relevant to this. I truly appreciate your videos and thank you for sharing this.
Glad to help💕
Thank you so much
You have honestly put me at ease I really thought I was loosing hair it’s been really stressing me out and set of my other medical condition I have thank you 🙏
I use rosemary essential oil organic directly on my scalp every day. Slowly but surely my hair is filling in and also thickening.
Do you mix it with another oil?
@@carmelcorn2489 In the beginning, I mixed it with Lavender essential oil, 50/50 ratio because the scent of Rosemary was so strong. Once I got used to the smell, I use 100% Rosemary. I use a dropper, squeeze 1 drop into the target area and massage into scalp. Use quality, organic essential oil, not the cheap Walmart brand.
@@alicia115 Could you please recommend a good brand to use? Thanks.
@@christinebuckingham8369 I use Now essential oils. The prices at Vitacost are more affordable and they have their own app.
Horsetail herb and Rosemary herb are good. There are some people don't want to use herb oil on their scalps. (nothing wrong with rosemary oil). Boil horsetail / rosemary with water for 15 minutes, let it cool then removed herbs and pour herbed water in spray bottle. Spray scalp and massage lightly since it is not oil. Horsetail herb is natural thicken (rich source of an organic form of silica).
It's crazy I already do this routine but it's nice to know that I wasn't the only person struggling with this situation... Good tutorial thank you
thank you so much for this. i’m 21 and i’ve had intense hair thinning due to medication. i used to have such beautiful hair and now it looks so thin and you can see right through to my scalp. its nice to know other people have the same problem and im not alone. ❤
Thank you Tabitha! Love the way you say “ruts”! 🙂I have thinning hair and this is a challenge, although I cannot wet and blow dry after 24 hours, I do use the root spray like you did and it does the same thing. My hair is too oily to do that and it’s long and all one length so it won’t hAve any effect. Layers are a plus for this method. The root lift with heat, then cold shot (no brushing, just holding it up) and back combing works the same if anyone has the same problem I do.
Thank you! Finally a true video for us people with fine thin hair. Thumbs Up!!
So helpful for one of my hair’s biggest challenges. Thank you.
That cooling the hair trick has really solved my back part problem. I dry to the left, cool then dry to the right and cool. I can’t believe how that works! Thank you from the bottom of my part, er, heart!
Yeah 😍 I am so glad this has helped you.
If you use dry shampoo and then back comb it does wonders for lifting the roots and volumizing to fill that back crack.
Thank you for this!!!! Why isn’t this talked about more?!!!!
Thank you for this. It really has made a difference! I thought I was the only one who had "the crack at the back" of my head. I will give it a go and see how it works for me. Have just grown my hair out to silver/grey and it seems to be falling out a lot (either post covid crap, my newly started intermittent fasting or a mineral deficiency which am sorting out what it is). Thank you, you have a really lovely cheerful disposition. 😀
Been scouring the web forever for someone who understands thinning hair for FINE texture, so THANK YOU! Binging all your videos now before diving into the hair topper world. Have been using Joan Rivers' scalp powder but cannot get used to that dirty-hair feel and loss of shine & movement. Menopause/thyroid has absolutely wrecked the top of my head from crown to hairline, and thrown in a couple patches each side for good measure - surprise! Grateful for your guidance.
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know.❤️
Oh my word, Ive been doing the same!. I was about to buy a wig, but I'll definitely look for Tabitha's other videos first. Ive only just found this video and it was very encouraging.
I have exactly the same problem and mine is also due to menopause and an underactive thyroid. I’ve been doing a bit of gentle backing combing and then using the coloured root sprays and that really does make a difference but I’m just waiting for my very first hair topper to arrive. I’m hoping to get used to it so that I have an alternative as my hair gets worse. It ruins your confidence but we are all in this together ❤️
I have been mentally devastated by menapause and what it has done to my previously thick hair.. these videos are at least a mental boost.
Katherine Sewing has a great video called Historical Hair Care. Additionally you can massage your scalp with onion juice (blender, strain. Keep frozen in ice cube tray for future use). The number one change for me was fenugreek seed tea. (I tsp seeds in a cup of boiled water. Sit 1-24 hours). Rinse scalp or as I do..wet finger tips and massage scalp. Do it at least twice a week. My shedding has cut WAY back thanks to that. I did just that alone for a while, do just that and you'll see results. But I use oil treatments on my head once a week (castor oil mixed with olive or whatever I have on hand). I massage my scalp to ends. Wrap head in bonnet or shower cap. Sleep, shower next day. If your hair is fine avoid sulphate shampoos. Tea rinses help too. In the summer I literally pick weeds. Burdock, yarrow, stinging nettle. I boil it in a pot and use it as a final rinse. I always thought teas were dumb but they are actually great.
A practical helpful video. My crown area has always had a mind of it's own!
Great tutorial! I have Thyroid thinning hair & im very sensitive about my part on day 2 & 3 of unwashed hair. THANKYOU 💜
My hair is thin, just like yours. It's good to see how you manage. Thankyou so much 😊
Finally! So long have I needed this video! My part is SO bad!
I'm a guy with long hair - never really payed attention to the back until recently, and thought I was maybe losing some but it looks just like yours does. This video is super helpful!
Same here i have a fine soft hair and i was trying to growing it for 7 months now and it does grow just fine no receding hairline but when i took a picture from the back it looks just like the back of the lady i did a comparision of the crown area 2 years ago no balding spot it didn't got worse just the same amount of hair i think that is the only issue we face people with fine hair .
@@mohamedantaleb3738 I don't have fine hair but the back of my head is messed up too
@@mohamedantaleb3738 Yeah my cowlick area looks like shit when its oily also have super thin hair
To be fair, even people with the most thickest hair, have cowlicks especially if they got out of the shower, got out of bed, or were wearing a hat. Just get a hand mirror and look at your face while having your back facing a bathroom mirror and comb it/reset it. Everyone has this.
I can relate to this video with the part. Mine is about the same. I have longer hair and want to try this method to hide my part. As you get older like I am, you'll find that tour hair will get thinner on the top of your head. Thanks for this suggestion!
Thank you so much for this tip. I have very fine, blonde hair and it has thinned out due to extensions. This will help me so much!
Thank you so much for content dedicated to this beauty issue!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart :-)
Thanks heaps for the tip about hitting the hair with the cool temp once you have the roots lifted. I am thankful this came my way!! Also a thin haired gal and will take all the help I can get!
So many comments that I too could have posted, we are many. Thank you as well for making an extremely useful video without having to endure the crazy music/ noise that most videos blast at us. Much appreciated here in western Oregon
It's nice to see someone dealing with and doing this to their own head, instead of a stylist doing it.
I just found you today and I have been binge-watching all of your videos. You are informative, kind, and hilarious. Thanks so much for giving hope to the hopeless.
Awwww. Thank you for letting me know. ❤️
Thank you! Your video is the only one that addresses the back of the head part us fine hair ladies face. Great tips, I’m going to look for one of those back combing tools, never knew they existed.
Ah! I have this part! I feel like Im missing some vital part of my hairline. This video was so helpful!
I've just recently realized a lot of hair loss and weird parts or empty spots in the back of my head. I've been panicking internally. I just turned 60 and know age has a lot to do with this but I didn't think it was as bad as it is. I feel so relieved that I'm not the only one, and I can still hide it! Thanks! My mamma always says, old age ain't for sissies!
check the rice water for hair on You Tube .It help me a lot (puting white rice and few cloves in jar with water , shaking for while even day, after few days take face cotton and put it on the scalp for few hr and than wash your hair)
@@dorasnop7771 thanks for this tip. Do you mean to put the rice water onto the scalp every day? Do I cook the rice in the water, then add the cloves, then do I shake the jar with the cloves and rice water daily, then apply it a few days later? Do I shampoo it every day after leaving the rice water on my scalp for a few hours? I'd really like to try it.
@@wendyfay16 Just don't over do the rice water. Too much protein overload can actually cause hair breakage.
If only I had that till 60 to have this issue. I've been dealing with hair loss since I was 24 and I'm currently 28 :(

Thanks so much. I will definitely give this a try. It was nice to see someone with my hair issues.
These are great tips. I have the same issues in the back. I have wavy/curly hair and sometimes I just feel like it looks horrible in it’s curly state or straight stair, because of that issue. I have a blow dryer but in my last move I lost that end part attachment you had on it. For my wavy/curly hair I bought a defuser. So I would have to just do my best but thanks for the tips.
Great instructions and demonstrations. And, boy, did I need it! Thanks.
Thank you so much had chemotherapy 10 years ago then started dialysis so my hair is so thin so I will try this ASAP. Thanks so much for your time

OMG! I've always been in trouble because my hair is thin like yours, I can't handle it and it would seems like I am bald, but I reaally love and appreciate what do you do with your hair because I hate that part of my head :(
I know it's the worst 😉
@Diana Moore This is so true. I even have made lightweight hair towels so their is no pulling when you wrap up your wet hair. 💕
Menopause can can mess up your hair.
Make sure your nutrition stays good to balance those hormones and you can even incorporate a skin probiotic to make sure your gut is absorbing all the nutrition from your food.

Thank you this is a really good video, my hair is very similar, I am going to try this technique as the instructions are simply😃
Thank you for this! I also am not blessed with luxurious thick hair. I have so little patience for it too, usually end up cutting it super short. I'm on the fence about going pixie again but ill try this first. Thank you fine haired friend 💖
Why not try a chin length bob with ends turned under, bet that would look really cute and be a lovely frame for your face
I'm 47, I've always had fine hair, but a lot of it. I could grow it to my bra strap before it got too thin looking.
About 3 yrs ago, I lost a lot of weight all of a sudden, like 40 lbs in 3 months. I still haven't found why. But I lost ALL body fat, including my hair, which became dull and very brittle. Every time I shower, tons of hair loss. It's truly horrible.
My hair has lost about 80% of it's total volume and thickness due to breakage and shed.
I have just now found the "fine hair family" on RUclips, and I can't be more grateful for people like you to share your experience and knowledge. The tips and tricks are very helpful.
It means the world to know I'm not alone. It's very hard to deal with emotionally. I've also lost most of my teeth during this unknown illness, so it's really bad for me. I don't have the money to go to the dentist, or buy expensive wigs, treatments, or products.
I'm just trusting God, that He is doing something in my life, preparing something for me for my future.
But thank you, thank you, thank you. 😇💕🙏

I have very fine thin hair also. I sometimes rub brown matt “eyeshadow” along any part on my scalp. It makes my part/scalp less visible almost like camouflage. The hardest part is shopping for the correct shade of eyeshadow since so many brands have glittery flecks.
Me too! Or root touch up spray.
@E Moore There is a powder especially for that. I live in Canada and have seen it at Sally Beauty Supply.
@@lisabarnetson1362 I have bought it before, but my shade was sold out the last time I went to Sally’s. Then I found the eye shadow and it was cheaper too! I know at one time, Joan Rivers Cosmetics had a type of “scalp concealer” in their product line, but I haven’t tried to order it in over 10 years.
I too rub a shadow,I use eyebrow shodow,& the Loreal root spray ! She did a great video love the spritz of water😊
Try Color Wow's root cover up. It's a powder compact with brush that comes in various shades. You can find it on the Dermstore website. Amazon might carry it as well as Ulta.
This is a great trick, well done! I hope I introduce these practices because it really makes me feel bad when my hair is bad... Thank you xx

I really have the same obnoxious widows peak/crazy part!! Thank you, gorgeous girl, for helping me understand how do deal with it!!
Have the same fine thinning hair made worse by meds. Don't mind the widows peak once valued as "a sign of beauty". That is if it is not too much.
I think that a widow's peak is a beautiful thing to have .... Notice the most stunning movie stars who have them .... or are you referring to the parting at the back of your head? I think that the 'part' at the back is more like an extended 'cow lick' as we used to call it years ago. The reason it becomes an issue and is more noticeable is that as we age and pass through menopause,, our hair becomes finer. Dark hair usually has thicker hair shafts, which is why you see so many young hair models with thick dark hair. It's naturally going to be a lot thicker than blonde or fair hair because of the hair shaft. I don't know what causes hair to become so much finer, and why many of us actually lose hair volume when we pass through menopause. I know that even though my mother had beautiful dark hair when she was young, she began to really lose volume from her mid 50's .... so that from her mid to late 60's she really did have bald patches if she hadn't curled it after washing. At 68, I don't seem to have her problem yet, however my hair is finer because I've chosen to go blonde than grey. In fact, I asked my hairdresser today why my hair was 'flat' if I didn't use rollers or product at the roots, and she said that it's because the condition of it is so good that it's doesn't have all the 'bumps' (my word for her explanation in it that's the case with hair in poor condition. It's actually so soft & silky that hot rollers just slide straight out of it. My suggestions for the 'bed head' or 'flat spot' are to blow dry your hair with your head upside down so that you get more volume into the hair at the roots (works really well with a little product just worked in at the roots), use the 'velcro' type rollers in it after washing, either the firm rollers or if sleeping on them, then use the soft 'velcro' type with the sponge in the middle, especially if you're a back sleeper ... and a must for your hair and skin, is a pure silk pillowslip .... they also feel lovely to sleep on. Just make sure that they are 100% silk, and none of the blended, or fake silks. They are a little expensive initially, but you'll definitely be doing great kindness to your hair and skin.
I have the same problem on my crown area !
@@wendyfay16 , I’m a hairstylist and I recommend that you never sleep in any kind of roller because it will cause breakage and then your hair will be even thinner. The rest of your suggestions were great!
@@debramccafferty2918 Thanks for telling me that about sleeping in the rollers. You are so very right! The last time I did it my hair did break off argot stuck in the velcro. It's not as though it even gave me pretty curls ... it was just fuzzy and fly away! I can't wait to get to my hairdresser next week! I'd been in hospital for a couple of months towards the end of last year, then I just didn't feel up to going out, then Christmas... then she was closed for 2 weeks into January. She's such an amazing hairdresser that I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else even though I usually like to keep my hair around shoulder length, but it's half way down my back now, and as I live in the subtropics of Australia, it's very hot around December, January and February, so I have to keep it up in a pony tail, but I'm sure that this does nothing for the health of my hair either. I can't wait for next Tuesday to come... it's just not coming fast enough for me! lol I hope that I'll be able to get it back into a decent condition once it's cut and I don't have to keep it up with elastic.
THANK you so much. I always wanted to know how to do this!
I have this part too, but it goes way down my right side up to the level of the top of my ear. I think I got it from straining my neck with tight muscles and shutting off blood supply. I've had many dermatologists check it out but think it's nothing past androgenetic alopecia. I believe there is scarring alopecia since follicle density is lower in the area. If hair cloning goes on the market in a few years, I may get my hair to look nice again, hopefully.
Thank you for sharing 💫 i have this hair issue too :(
Thank you, thank you 😊
That did help me. Thank you!
Love this! Could you please share how to achieve your type of haircut. I noticed that you have layers and I think that it helps with lightening the hair for more volume.
