Great video. Before Swissair 111 crash, a situation of smoke on board was informed to ATC as a PAM, PAM, PAM, but the new procedure is to declare MAYDAY immediately after notice smoke on board.

How is that dangerous? They didn't push back all the way to the runway, just to the taxiway. Takes a lot less time to do it that way than to have a tug hitch up.
They had better have a good explanation for their declaration of emergency when they forced another aircraft into a holding pattern when they were seeking to land. The ATR crew's comment to ATC after landing that they didn't have a critical situation raises questions.
The plane declared mayday just 2 minutes after takeoff and the flight ahead was just 12 minutes. They asked what happened, the crew said black smoke onboard, but that everything was fine... was a false mayday in my opinion!

Bit weird declaring Mayday and then nothing happens, but witnesses onboard reported lot's of black smoke and burning smell!

Hello, its not required the steep climb, but normally this ATR's climb really fast after takeoff here!

É um procedimento comum aqui, por vezes a companhia não permite, mas aqui as duas que operam ATR fazem-o

In TFN and LPA Binter and the other local regional carriers always do self pushback with their Atr-72s. I’ve seen them lots of time there

It's very common here, both Swiftair and Binter ATR's working here do the same, it's called Powerback.
