I do 3 different flea mkts a week, slinging boxes in and out of car. It is always a crap shoot with weather. Glad you did well and will do another one.
I am glad your first experience selling at the flea market was a good one. I am curious how big your booth was because it looked a lot bigger at the market than it did in your living room. It is nice that you had so much space to set out your items. Maybe I will get brave enough to try this in my area in the spring. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Its 19’ wide x 16’ deep and the car has to get parked in there too. So we had about 19’ x 10’ of selling space… they were lenient on the depth, which was good. We would have only had about 8’ depth otherwise. I just set up the tables in the living room to decide how much stuff to bring, I definitely didn’t lay it all out the way I had it space planned. My living room isn’t that big 😂 maybe if we didn’t have a couch I could have made it look exact. And I never bothered setting up the $5 table at my house, I just stuffed a few bins full and figured it would be fine. I also brought a couple bins of “extras” for when stuff sold. I brought a lot 😂 it was really fun, you should give it a try!
I am so sorry to hear Blake got so sick. I hope he gets better soon. Rest your foot. The pain is worth it crazy as that sounds. I hurt for two days after I do a show. I love doing shows.
He was fine the next day, it was just the heat. He’s always just very heat sensitive. I don’t like the heat, but it doesn’t make me sick like that. The foot takes a few days to recover, but I’ll remember to sit down more next time. I was just too excited 😆
I am still excited when I have a show. I have regular customers that come. Oh about what you were going to take. One suggestion make sure you take at least one table of new items an another of repeat items an mix them. It's a little more work in packing but it is worth it. I try to take new stuff every show.
I am so happy for you that you made a good profit your first time doing this we always learn something for the next time. At least you got rid of some stuff to donate that you wanted gone too a winning day!
So enjoyed watching you document the whole experience for us! Thank you 😊. I do Pyrex Fest twice a year here in Maryland and experienced a lot of what you have. Totally feel hung over the next day and am a complete slug. I will say, each time you do it, you think of something to improve for the next time. It gets a little easier & faster. Glad you had such a great time. Looking fwd to November market video.
Yes, the tired part I know. I always put a battery lantern on table and had what I called my "big gun", the expensive item to make my day, before sunrise. Then after packing, had an hour drive home. You did good. 😊
What a great video. Excited that you'll do another flea market with Gabby, what a great friend she is, and so much fun too. You learned a lot and I think it will serve you well at the next flea market.
Jamie I am so happy you had a amazing day. Yeah other vendors say they had a bad sale day sometimes fishing to see if you had a good day. Now I think you might be hooked to flea markets selling. Welcome to the club. 💕💕💕
I was so excited to see this flea market vlog and it was so fun to watch! I am happy that you had a great 1st time experience! Hope you do more flea markets and would love to see the vlogs on them. Nice job!! ♥

Hey Jamie, first of all congrats!!! What a great successful adventure!! I absolutely adored living vicariously through you! I am so impressed with how you set things up, the inventory you brought, the lessons learned… also so valuable! And how fun that you and Gabby are going to do the November one together! And Gabby’s cookies!!! She is just the best!!! You guys are gonna have a blast! And I actually thought it was just the right amount of footage of the fair I was really interested in the whole process. Great video!
@@MidCenturyWasted yes I love it. I’ll keep an eye out for it. I have one that I bought a estate sale. They were remodeling the house and I picked one up it’s just beautiful. I love it. I got it for five dollars years ago. And thanks again Jamie I love my coasters.
@@vivianchairez955I got this one for $5 too if you can believe it! It was a family run estate sale just a few months ago. It was original to the house but they had taken it down in the 80s when they remodeled the kitchen. Glad they kept it! I’m so glad you like to coasters ❤
Hi! I believe I still have one set of grapes, but I can’t recall which color. I’m out of town for most of July but I can check when I get home! If you want to email me, that will help me remember 😄 midcenturywasted@gmail.com
Thanks for showing us behind the scenes. I now appreciate even more all the hard working vendors that sell at flea market venues. Great job! 👏

Those early bird shoppers with flashlights are other vendors. They pay for their space and then go out and shop before they set up their booths.
Yes but Long Beach also has an early bird ticket. They pay more money to come in as people are setting up. That’s how gabby got in so early too.

It was a gorgeous day..at 630am lol. When I left around 10am I was HOT. I can't wait for next month
It was perfect at 6:30! 🤣🤣
I have a garage full of vintage from my closed Etsy shop. How much are the spaces?
Different areas cost different amounts. Where I sold was $125 for the day.
Vacation vibes😂

Great video. Jamie, I was wondering did you sell the spaceship ceiling lamp?
No, that didn’t sell. I plan to list it on Facebook marketplace. It’s a very particular item for sure.
