Lou Kelly and Nola McKenzie in the same room. Two of Wentworth's biggest baddies!
Can we take a moment, after this entire ordeal, to really appreciate the brilliance of Ian Smith(Mr. Douglas). He was a producer on the show who filled in for the role when the original actor cast simply didn't show. I can't imagine a different Ted Douglas, and the fact that he was always there "producing" made it convenient to write the character in at any time. Ian Smith is also responsible for nicknaming "The Freak". Ian Smith, thank you sir.
What you say is correct, except it wasn't the character of Ted Douglas he stood in for. It was a single scene where he play Pixie Mason's father, and adulterous vicar! He seemed very similar to Harold Bishop in that scene and I wonder whether the inspiration for Harold came from it.
@@ukchristian28 he absolutely stood in for the Character of Ted Douglas. Watch Prisoner Vs Wentworth on Australian Jeopardy. It's on youtube. Ian is on the Prisoner team and that's one of the first things he mentions. Also that he's the one who named Joan Ferguson "The Freak".
In fact, Ian only mentions playing Ted Douglas whilst on Jeopardy.
@@Laladust And he said it was the character of Ted Douglas he stood in for? I always thought it was the vicar. If what you say is right, then I agree. It is pretty impressive. Ted Douglas was probably one of my favourite characters and Ian Smith played him well. Always a bit slimy, and it came as no surprise what happened with his character later on. He also played a police officer in a late episode, which I wasn't aware of.
@@ukchristian28 ruclips.net/video/fGKUqmtPbyQ/видео.html
Here is the episode of Family Feud, not Jeopardy, my apologies. It's a 7:20 when Ian is asked "Is it true you were never supposed to act".
@@Laladust Thank you. I will check that out.
I love how Bea and Chrissie are working together ^^
Bea gave a very good speech in the new rec room and shows a real sensitive side in her. Love Val’s acting here.
Didn’t see try to kill Mouse?
I like Davo's new office. Love to see the looming presence of 'the Freak'. Looking like Frankenstein with the neck brace
🤣
Why on earth did Paddy shout out to the fireman " What about 'The Freak'? (Officer Fergeouson) She's still down there? Paddy should've kept her mouth shut and left 'The Freak' down there in the smoke.
Best line - "Poor Mouse is the bunny again"
Best insane moment - Jude screaming to get the cops in every 2 minutes is as about as insane a character U Turn as it gets,
Love Erica's new office set and so begins the seemingly unsolvable geometric puzzle of where the corridor outside the office could possibly go? Straight into a window? It's very Sapphire and Steel..
Lou Kelly sounds so posh as a salesperson lol
Its act real Lou Kelly will emerge! :)
And then if you flip the name to Kelly Lou, it sounds like trailer trash.
@@etiennefromage8063 Hey now my name is Kelley Ann. But I kinda like the middle name Lou.
It’s LOU!!! In the variety store as the clerk. Can’t wait for the Lou Kelley era!!! Love her!
Bluddy 'ell! I thought she looked familiar! :)
It's not only Lou Kelly, played by Louise Siversen, but the male customer is Officer Joyce Barry's son, who we are introduced to after she is attacked and beaten.
Twice since Tony's left, Judy has threatened to bring the cops to the halfway house....whereas it was one of Jude's main complaints about Tony.
A new look for Wentworth. The end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
That was a huge error on the writer's part, one Betty Bobbitt should've corrected. Too many times, Judy used words an American wouldn't have. She even said the "me"" for "my" which an American wouldn't do.
Markxxx an american livin in aus fer a long time would. slang tis easy to pick up... ive lived all over the world n managed to keep a pretty neutral accent, i guess its more aussie than anything coz ive lived here most (as a kid) ... but the expressions... u pick them up at the drop of a hat. i know i still use tonnes of english expressions especially ... i often get picked up on it. xxx
At 21.35 even Gaffney calling Judy the lumberjack lol
LOL @ The Freak marching in at the end looking all evil with the neck brace! Watching the series back in the day, you just knew she was going to come back and spoil the party! 😆
This is a great episode, so many good characters here. Bea, Chrissie, Margo, Erica, Colleen and Nola.
Love how Bea gets so broken up over Mouses death but she tried to make her swallow heroin/battery acid not long ago.
Ikr 😂😂
Yes, you’re right. Bea is bloody inconsistent in that respect as are some other characters as well. 😃😄
That's the another crazy thing about pcbh: loyalties change faster than Margo's hairdos.
@@Summer21. Yes, that was inconsistencies with the storyliners who wrote the scripts, not the actors
Wise words of Vera they're all a bunch of back biting bitches. I wouldn't trust any of them.
Everyone was real mean to mouse when she was alive, just because she was a little bit simple and now they’re blubbing over her. I recon she was a little sweetheart. Bless her.
Mouse wasn't a sweetheart. She was a stirrer. She also brought drugs into the prison.
@@izaaksalazar6301 you need drugs in prison
Izaak Salazar To be fair, a lot of them cause trouble and are bloody irresponsible and stupid, whether they’re interested in drugs or not, not just Mouse.
I don't like the word simple not in this day and age. Where people can have a diognose. Maby she had mild learning difficulties.
@@kevintraynor4508 Diagnosis* Maybe* Perhaps you're a bit simple too lol
19:58 Well, I think that's the most polite version of Lou Kelly I've ever seen
is the person in the shop at 20 mins the same person who played Lou Kelly?
Yes, she is indeed!
Wentworth Videos never noticed that before and I've watched this show 6 times!!
Wentworth Videos I know! She's insane in the later episodes and here sheeeeeee's sweeeeeeet
Wentworth Videos Yes
Well spotted Wentworth Videos, Yes it is her! I didn't realise, her voice and manner so pleasant. I can't wait for when she returns to the show as Lou Kelly. Fantastic character.
Love the ending there when Ferguson walks in. shock on Bea's face lol.
The new governors office, with the window, looks better than the old dingy office. But its so weird to me seeing Erica in there. I always think of it as the ''Ann Reynolds'' office. She was in that office for over 300 episodes and Erica less than 30 and the first episodes i ever saw were Ann era.
Yes this is the first time the office window gets shown. The door is hinged on the other side too.
trust the freak to ruin a party lol
Ian Smith’s scene when he’s sentencing Smith and Laitham in this for the fire is absolutely superb. The godfather of the show x 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So that's where Lou Kelly worked in her spare time, plus being a Sister in Wentworth General.
Apparently she was quite versatile.
Chrissie hair was amazing for a prisoner... looks like it's done in a salon
I do so love Beas character. I can really relate to the "control" she has over others. I was just like that as a ward-of-the state-teenager. They did what "I" said. Bea is so great!
The shop assistant is Lou Kelly!!! I love how the PCBH cast is recycled. Stefan Dennis has been in it 3 different times, as three different characters.
They finally change the camera angles after 333 episodes and 4 years.
They also put prison windows in canteen , staff quarters and rec room 👍
Yew noticed that
What a great idea ! Leave your bag in an unattended car with the window open.
Nobody would have done that.
Well mine would not have any money in it.
I miss 🐭😒, she was so cute😔, she really played her role very well. I like the way she walked around acting like a actual 🐭. Its messed up that the 🪛 blamed 🐭 and barb for the 🔥. And Joan showing up, proves nothing was really accomplished or gained. If anything it was a major lost for the prisoners. WTF 😒
A fire destroys Erica's office and afterwards her new one seems to have doubled in size !! Did they also knock out a wall ??
+Chris.C It also gained a window.
Or it's been flipped 180 degrees and the previous '4th wall' is now where the window is. Especially now door is on the right and not the left
Very confusing !!
@@chris.c9885 they must hav built it in anutha section
Why does everyone wear prison issue shoes but chrissy has high heels on
didnt u notice her black boots at the concert n fer a while after? i sure did they were sexy as fuck!!! i have some similar xxx
Cos she likes heels.
@Jason Mark They were all allowed to wear whatever shoes they liked. There was no strict rule to wear basic flat shoes.
She's baaaaack.....and looking 7ft. tall.
In reality she was only about 5"8 or 9.
Bride of Frankenstein is back.
The beginning of Lou Kelly, one of my favourite characters
Mr. Karlsen claimed Woodridge to be the toughest prisoner in Australia. Huh, Blackmoor makes Woodridge look like a Holiday Inn.
Blackmoor didn't exist at this point.
ukchristian28 JA During the 400's era is when Blackmoor is first mentioned all the way up to the final era, which is the 600's.
If anyone has seen episodes after the 300's era or if they have seen the whole series before, I guess we would imagine that Woodridge always existed as did the other prisons and sometimes other characters too. 😃
Blackwoor would be closed in Australia, the bleeding hearts wouldn't allow it. More at home in the American penal system which has a more sadistic approach to it.
It is amazing the amount of things Mrs Davidson will not tolerate
😂😂
Love Davo's ding bat character. Her and Colleen made the fire worse. Stuffy Ted, the big cover my ass wind bag. 😂😂 It's sad, but this is very realistic
Lizzie never learns she darn near died but there she is drink the 'ol Grog like it's going out of style. She's a bad influence on some of the other prisoners.
“Creamy Soda” You gotta love Lizzie.
Lol - 10 seconds of Ferguson and she steals the entire show! :D
Louise Siverson aka Lou Kelly as the assistant in the camera shop
The screws have a mych nicer staff room. A mini fridge for their food, a sink to wash their dishes, I have no idea if microwaves existed in 1983 in Australia.
@Sheri Heffner Yes, the staffroom is much nicer especially with a fridge for their food/drink and a sink to wash their dishes, etc. 😊
Yes, Australia had microwaves back in 1983 as Lizzie reads a feature in a newspaper about a microwave in this episode era. 😃
Bea used a weapon on The Freak and she still lost that fight, but not telling anyone that Joan saved her but 🤣
she only lost because she didn't make Ferguson "combat-ineffective" after she choked her out, The Freak wouldn't have been too perky with 2 busted kneecaps or two broken ankles. There's always a chance a choked out person will get back up especially if it's a blood choke, if Ferguson couldn't have walked she would not have still been a threat. If things like the Freak can walk, they are still a threat.
Prison wrecked by fire and 2 deaths and Erica still is governor like nothing happened 💩
I agree Erica was more of an embarrassment
rosebankross I like Erica. I got fed up of Ann after so many years into the freakin’ series.
I'd take Erica over Ann any day.
Ha ha ha Powell's face on the bus when they are singing. And where was Gaffney during the party?
hahaha no wonder Ted doesnt recognise Judy for a start... he was pretty pished at the halfway house opening lmao
Lizzie and Maxine should have had their own spin off show 😀😁😂😃😄🍷🍻🍷🍷🍸🍸🍸🍸🍷🍷🍷🐵🐵
The sad thing is I sometimes sing the homecoming song years later
That ending...dadgum.
Haha. It was a great ending.
Lizzie claims she hadn't "really" poisoned those shearers, but she really did it. She gave them enough poison to hurt them just not enough to kill them.
Laughing at Nola's (Jean's) drag race level wig reveal... Just to have exactly the same hair underneath 😂
I like the song they were singing in the bus and beas face was a picture!
23:20 Seriously? even in the 1980's leaving your purse in a car unlocked is stupid. 44:50 The Freak is back
That's stupid no matter what decade it was.
Well Erica's encyclopedia's must be massively flame proof to survive the blaze and how clever are they to put wooden filing cabinets in her office after a fire? Hahahahaha
Freaky Ferg's entrance actually startled me. I was expecting it to be Officer Powell.
“Send her round to us. We’ll straighten her out. Won’t we girls?”
Careful what you wish for, Bea
So Bea has been there longer than Mrs. Davidson?
I dunno. Why do you ask? Did I miss something?
Izaak Salazar I think I remember Bea and Lizzie talking about being at Wentworth when the previous governor was there.
The era in question was right at the beginning of the series when Monica "Monnie" Ferguson was there, played by Angie Baker.
Izaak Salazar I found this on prisonercellblockh.fandom's website.
Dolly Repton is a former governor of Wentworth, most likely the governor before Erica Davidson. She is mentioned by Lizzie as a young and naive person, who never understood where the heavy smells came from (episode 36). Meaning Lizzie's attempts to make alcohol with her brews.
I hate it when people get off a bus and stand in front of the door chatting, move along!!!!
It's funny watching drug-hating Bea drinking enough to get a hangover. If her daughter had been killed by a drunk driver, or become and alcoholic and then died in an accident as a result of having been impaired, then Bea would have hated alcohol instead.
After Donna, the Bea Smith character soften quite a lot toward drug users and pushers.
@@markxxx21 that's y she slappd Stevens with a newspapr instead of her fist lol
I wander is Nola McKenzie or the actress who played her of Irish Traveler decent she really looks like she has Irish traveler in her
Funny how Chrissie would prefer Woodridge to Wentworth, and how the women are always referring to Wentworth as "this dump", because even after a fire Wentworth appears brighter and more homey than Woodridge by far. Barnehurst is a rural bed & breakfast inn, Wentworth is a boarding school, but if the average run-down petrol station had a basement then Woodridge would be it.
...CHRISSY would live in a dungeon, as long as men were on the menu...lol !!
Gosh Erica is crazy like yea they set fire to wentworth and we will give them a welcome back party
Come on now....you know she's dumb.
Well, she is definitely too lenient and trusting of the women as they do let Erica and Meg down occasionally, and maybe other officers like Joyce and Colleen feel let down by them too.
Lizzie screaming in the dining room as loud as she can about the alcohol with Meg and Barfield in there. Bea was right not to tell Lizzie anything because when you do she shouts out what she's told for everyone in the room to hear.
Because she is drunk most of the time.
Ikr, I be like Lizzie come on, I 💕 u, but WTF!?!🙄
Hilarious how fast they've fixed Erica's office.. It was a burned shell 3 episodes back 🤣
Holy sh*t the Freak is back!

Except Janet is no longer around.
@@angielucas5164 Damn, maybe Erica can ask Wendy to "fetch" Janet Conway's telephone number in the index?

@@rosslamb6643 oh well then super Meg will have to climb through her window and rescue her.
Lizzy “ don’t wanna waste it, it might evaporate or summin “ got to be her best line yet 😂🤣
Douglas is too short-sighted to see where the root of the problem lies. Had it not been for Ferguson and her sadistic behaviour then there never would have been a fire lit in the first place. I suppose he will demote Colleen and promote Joan to deputy governor next. He's clearly stupid enough for anything. Nice to have a different camera angle in Erica's office which faces a window instead of a wall for a change.
Wow, Woolies gets a mention, thanks Maxine.
I like the see through cards . Best way to cheat at poker😂😂
Lou Kelly was also in an earlier episode where she was a nurse. Dark haired. Lizzie was in the hospital, right after Meg Jackson married Bob Morris.
Bloody hell its lou kelly as a shop assistant
WTF ? Nola McKenzie and Lou Kelly in the shop !
Oh look, Judy being a hypocrite again... this time about the police.
Just when I was too comfortable with The Freak of Darkness being gone... 😱

That yellow car looks like my Mazda RX7.
The one with a rotary engine
The Wankel rotary engine and the little suicide doors at the back. I've not seen one of those for years.
Where was Mrs Davidson whilst they were all at Wood ridge? Ted Douglas should've advised Erica what was going on instead of Erica going off at Mrs Powell. But the question is: Where were you Erica? Mey I ask of your h..whereabouts? Was your absence both deeeliberate and premeditated?
Would imagine she was overseeing what was going on at Wentworth while they got it sorted
@@samisticlife I'm pretty sure Ted Douglas being a department head would've kept her in the loop.
Bread and water, in prison. Ha Ha😂. There doesn't look like there's anything between the bread.
Episode 260. He wanted Meg to move overseas with him and be the everyday housewife, but when he heard about her promotion to deputy governor from Mr Fawkner he left overseas again without saying goodbye before she could tell him she turned it down, and the next we hear they're getting a divorce.
As usual Margo's lagging has been forgotten.
20:50 - Two things that never change about Australian retail 1. Some entitled arsehole always interrupting and not waiting their turn. 2. Sales assistants who know nothing about their products.
27:20 - "Nah, no reason to do this stuff in the privacy of my own room".
That camera/record store used to be in Boronia.
Before turning to crime, Lou Kelly worked in a shop,p.
Yep, Lou Kelly is the polte sales girl halfway through. Can't believe how nice she is when you compare her to Lou! :) And I must admit the Mouse and Barbara speech made me well up a little. And I think it SUCKS that poor Mouse gets the blame for starting the fire that killed her! I'd NEVER let a friend take the blame for something like that, especially if they'd met such a horrible ending. Hated it ever sicne I first saw the episode in 1990/1 as I always liked Mouse's character. She was so cute and sweet and she may have been a bit dopey but they didn't always have to be so nasty to her. Or to kill her off grr. They should have killed Margo off instead all she does is cause trouble and it'd have served her right if it had backfired in her face.:) x
...yes, well, I dislike boring-FERGO even more than anyone on PCBH...!!
I wish they would kill Gaffney, she's a selfish lagging bitch who isn't even sorry for what she did
You're right. I agree. I wish Margo and the Freak were eradicated from the series instead of Barbara and Mouse.
She never will be sorry which is why she repeatedly beats people up and gets involved in schemes that result in her doing more time. Even when when she did the hit and run and that man died, she didn't even admit it was her fault. She shows no remorse for the fire and loss of life. This is a criminal that really should have been given a death sentence.
Don't think it is right that Mouse got blamed for the fire. With such a dreadful way to go it isn't asking too much that she be remembered for good things. Not fair to her memory that people would think she caused it.
Wow! What a brilliant surprise at the end!!!
How long has it been since Wentworth was “totally destroyed” A few weeks? A month or so? It would take that long just to clear out the wet, burnt furniture from inside the building 😂
Also why did Nola spend $50 on a wig (presumably to disguise herself) which makes it look as though she just cut her own hair?
Chrissie: “We can tell Lizzie, she won’t blab”
???Have you ever met Lizzie?!
Was thinking the same myself about Nola’s wig. Girl, just cut and colour your hair instead

No cameras or door alarms. Those security measures did exist back than.
Why does so called Ted have to come in almost every other day or week.
Can't he allow Erica to run Wentworth without him poking his nose in .
How can all the women in that vast looking prison fit in a small van?? And you only ever see about 20 people in the rec room or canteen... That has always bugged me!! There were more women and extras outside after the fire than there ever were shown inside!!
Lorraine Hall There are several different floors to the prison containing several different blocks. We only see H block and maternity sometimes. That explains why we saw so many more prisoners outside after the fire. And prisoners sometimes get transferred from H block to B and A blocks. If I remember correctly.
Also, I don't think all of the Wentworth women were sent to Woodridge At least some of them would have been sent to Barnhurst. H block, supposedly housing the worst women would have gone to Woodridge as it was high security (like Wentworth) rather than the lower security at Barnhurst
Also the bus that brought them to Wentworth was a long reg. size grayhound bus. Not a small van.
Cucci Cucci Lorraine meant that the women went to Woodridge in a van, but they came back to Wentworth on a greyhound bus. 😃
@@Summer21. Maybe they needed two extra seats for Paddy and Maxi who were outside when everyone else went to Woodridge?
