    I think this the blend door actuator which controls the air temperature;?the vent mode actuator is a different piece.

    To everyone wondering, this is indeed the Blend Door Actuator. My LeSabre was only blowing cold. Turns out my old Blend Door Actuator was bound up. I replaced this part and my heat came back. This part has nothing to do with moving you Air/Heat to different locations.

    This actuator controls temperature for the passenger. There is another one directly opposite that controls the driver's temperature however this is not the mode door actuator. The mode door actuator is next to the pedals on the driver's side wedging a pretty tight location.

    Mine was doing the same- cold air on passenger side- warm on drivers. I thought that there were right and left actuators - not so. 2005 Buick lesabre . It was low on freon- added a can and blowing cold on both sides now. The actuator that he is showing us switches from ac to heat.

    great video!! In my case the A/C only comes out of the feet and rear grille. Almost nothing comes out of the front grilles. Which component could be broken?

    Is this the actuator that controls the vents? My car it doesn’t seem to blow air out the vents that I select

    Your video(s) are very informative and very helpful. I replaced my actuator per your instruction and the replacement went well, however it's still not directing airflow to the dash vents when changing the airflow switch. Any thoughts?

    There are 3. All of my part numbers are stickers that have faded beyond recognition. Do you have part numbers for the manual base model with slide controls ??

    Was the reason you changed it because hot air on driver's side and cold on passenger side?
    Or no? What problem was going on?

  • @VincentTesoriero

    This is not a mode actuator. This is a hot and cold actuator.

    I can just take it off and open the blend door. Get the heat working snd leave it off.

    Would this be the part to replace if your ac is not coming out from the middle vents?

    • @stonemanbytes
      @stonemanbytes 2 года назад +3

      No, they named this incorrectly. This one is a blend door actuator, what you need is a mode door actuator.
